The NBA needs to release every season that MJ played. I’d watch every game.
Man, if only
Particularly his 80s seasons, I hear like 70% of those games are buried. We don't get nearly enough of him in the 88-89 season and that was arguably him at his peak or very close to it

It really seems like yesterday when I was a junior high kid watching The Flu Game, him hitting the iconic game winner in 98, and him crying in the locker room holding the game ball after winning the Finals in 1996, in tribute to his father, winning the title on Father’s Day - which is my favorite MJ moment of all time. Epitome of excellence and a competitor, AND defying gravity. He wanted to beat the opponents, disease, and even natural forces at their best.

Gather steps are literally part of the game lol. You pick the ball up as you step, then 2 steps.
Crazy that the Bulls were DOWN 85-86 to the Jazz with 17 seconds left in the Finals, and instead of going for a quick bucket Jordan chose to run the clock down before taking his “last shot”. True confidence.
A quick basket would have just meant that the Jazz had more time to shoot the last shot. It's normal for every NBA team to hold the ball to have the last shot or the last good shot of the game in that situation.
The Jazz had ample time to run a quick play but Stockton missed his 3 pt. shot. They should've gone for a 2.
@@zimbu_ Sorry, but your are incorrect. Most teams would drain the clock to take the last shot IF IT WAS TIED OR THEY HAD THE LEAD. Rarely do you ever see teams drain the clock to take the last shot when they are behind.

Many people say that Federer was the best, but when he played vs Nadal he played 100% and we knew that he will be beaten. When Jordan played people knew that he is special and had that killer mindset. So we all know what could happen if Jordan would play vs Lebron. Jordan was beaten in the eighties many times but we all know who is the best.
There's been an NBA before MJ, and another one after MJ. Athleticism, elegance, speed, moves, mentality, top scorer and intense defense. In order to allow other players to get close to what he did, NBA had to change the rules. How many more titles would have he won, and how many points would have he scored without those two pauses in his career?

As great as MJ was as an offensive monster he was equally as good on defense. Something you don't find in todays NBA. Truly the GOAT.
I don't agree with the today's game, you got guys like kawhi and giannis and even sometimes Anthony Davis. Imo idk why people say defense was better back in the day it really looks like guys were standing up straight to guard him they didn't even try. Maybe it's because they knew they couldn't stop it but the effort to me doesn't look like today's game
@@robertmartin8603 Today's game emphasizes the 3. Back then it was all about mid range game. You are going to have a man or a hand in your face every time you shoot anything less then a 3. Also no more hand checking in todays game....and tons of flopping. Contesting players at the rim is rare as well.
