  • This is a regular day for an Auxiliar de Conversación living in rural Spain. Follow me as I show you a typical Spanish lifestyle as an American living in a small Spanish town. I teach English, I eat Spanish food, I teach more English, and I love every moment of it!

    You see, the more I get to see young people, boys and girls, going solo around the world, and living live the way is supposed to be lived, fearless and adventurous, the more proud I feel about the new generation. Thanks for sharing this awesome video.

    I watched your vlog for the 1st time. You gave me a peak on what a day is like living in a small town in Spain. Hopefully, you can find your way to Madrid……a “kid” like you will probably find the big city more exciting. Just the same, you are a wonderful host. And very handsome.☮️

    6:12 empty refrigerator, nevera (heladera en Argentina) vacía jaja😂... btw I agree the better way to learn a new language is 'live intraction' (8:32), precisely the way little kids do... Muy buen video Jeremy, me ha gustado enormemente... Un abrazo desde Venezuela 👍👍

    Amazing! Did you stay at the hotel the entire time that you were there? Was it expensive on a monthly basis? Were there many housing options available in that small town?

    Hi bro. Im from the Philippines and am also currently a Language Assistant. Not sure if you do private classes or not for extra income, but if you do, did you encounter any problems finding some? I’ve had a difficult time getting classes, not sure if because I’m Filipino and Spanish people just prefer other nationalities or jus because I lack qualifications. Great video, keep it up!

    • @JeremyBurrito
      @JeremyBurrito  4 роки тому

      I haven't personally found nationality to be an issue. It can definitely be a challenge to find private classes. Try networking and establishing yourself by word of mouth. You can ask other teachers, find language exchange groups and see if someone is looking for a tutor, also auxiliar Facebook groups sometimes talk about that. And don't worry about lacking qualifications, just be confident in what you're doing and always do your best to be prepared. Good luck!

    • @JeremyBurrito

    Cool video man. How did you like living in a small town? Was it hard to meet people?

    • @JeremyBurrito
      @JeremyBurrito  4 роки тому +1

      It was quite a different lifestyle than what I'm used to so it definitely had its challenges. But I enjoyed it a lot because it was such a unique experience for me. As for meeting people, I think you learn to appreciate quality of relationships over quantity haha

      @@JeremyBurrito thanks for the insight! I'm applying next year with hopes of being placed in Madrid. I'm from a smaller city in Canada so I'm hoping to be placed in Madrid to experience big city life. But honestly you can't go wrong with being placed anywhere in Spain.. such a great country. Did you travel lots while there?

    • @JeremyBurrito
      @JeremyBurrito  4 роки тому

      Madrid is a great city ! But yea wherever you get placed the experience is what you make of it. And Alicante where I was placed has a really good international airport so I was able to travel a lot but I didn't save much haha

    How much prep do you do for an hour of private tutoring?

    • @JeremyBurrito
      @JeremyBurrito  4 роки тому

      It depends. For a simple lesson just like half an hour could be enough and I can use the same content for multiple pupils. If the student has an exam they need help preparing for or if I want to prepare a special project then I may spend more time prepping

    I wish I could visit the land of my ancestors, Iberia, but the closest I ever got was the sky of France while travelling from Miami to Zürich to Shanghai to Phnom Penh to teach English. My life now: "It was the best of times. It was the worst of times." You seem to be filipino. I met some here. I thought of teaching English in the Philippines but they already know English. Also, I wanted to leave the US of AIDS zone, which unfortunately Spain and Philippines fall under as subordinate allies against China & Russia. I'm Honduran. I wish I could be given Spanish citizenship due to my race being Spanish, but they do that only for Sephardic Jews, I think, since they're racist Zionazis who put Jews above Europeans. They will call me anti-Semitic yet I worship a Jew.
