A Day in the Life of a Language Assistant in Benidorm, Spain

This is a day in my life as an "auxiliar de conversacion" or in other words, an English language assistant in Spain. I work about 16 hours a week Monday to Thursday and this is generally what my work day looks like. If you have any questions leave them in the comments below :)

Hey, Can we extend our student visas or do we need to return home? Nice vid.
JC Blogs hey! So i asked my friend who experienced this implication and she said she was able to but it is extremely difficult and expensive, and if you leave the Schengen zone you won’t be able to renew it. You need fingerprints and a background check that is administered in the US and a lot of other tedious paperwork so it might be easier to just go back and renew it 😅 thank you!
JC Blogs actually she said if you have the right background check and proper paperwork it could be easier! Also if you live closer to a big city because it can only be processed at certain extranjerías!
Do I need teaching experience? I want to do this program but feel like i'd be completely lost in front of a classroom lol
Noo you don’t! You need a college degree, but you’re just assisting so you will be helping the teacher 😁
Hi!! I’m interested in participating in this after I graduate in a year! How does the housing go? How can you afford to live comfortably on the salary that they give you? I’m hoping to travel frequently during my time there. I’ve heard it’s very wise to come with some money saved
Also, who do you travel with? Did you go there without knowing anyone??
Amazing! For housing there are Facebook groups for auxiliars that might help you find people to live with or idealista to find apartments, I’m actually going to be posting a video soon where I talk a bit more about housing, so it would be great if you subscribe so you don’t miss it! As for budgeting I have a video where I discuss how to budget! It’s titled something like “how to budget as an auxiliar” but yes definitely come with savings!
