      The inexperience is apparent in these comments. It’s a stamped steel pan, they used a punch specifically for this reason. Also makes its own bung to cut threads in with the displaced metal. Notice the grease on the tap? That’s to contain any small chips. This is a new engine and already has metal in the oil, the few odd chips that may have gotten in there are not gonna make a difference.

      Not a bad return on investment tbh 12 k and you double ( at least) your HP. A new mustang GT is like 30 -40k depending on options and if you add a $12k twin turbo kit you pretty much get a 800whp monster for roughly $50k that can pretty much smoke anything in it's class. I know it's a huge cost upfront but damn if you don't get results.

    Wonder how they hold

  • @dennislangston487
    @dennislangston487 4 роки тому +1

    Personally , I liked the way they did the oil pan taps. The only metal lost would be a tiny amount from thread cutting which would settle to the bottom and be collected by the drain plug magnet. If any happened to go through the system , it would be caught by the filter. In my opinion , much less chance of problems than pulling the pan and welding on fittings. I think many of the commenters missed the fact that the drill bit didn't go all the way through , but only close enough for the punch to finish making the hole and leave a good base for cutting threads.

    um....the loss is based no flywheel hp not tire horse power.
    it is 20% when you take 72hp / 363hp.
    However, your parasitic loss is actually: 72hp / 435hp at fly wheel, or 16.6%

      mjs28s nice pick up. These guys are morons. What worries me is that you were the only viewer to pass comment. I thought that someone interested in any power adding or for that fact just a standard vehicle would understand drivetrain loss(parasitic loss) and how it has been cut down to about 13% on some of the newer vehicles.

Even with slicks, that dude is going to have a hell of a time even making a 12 second flat pass without balling the tires off all the way down the track. He's going to need a shit ton of suspension upgrades...just like every other Mustang built since 1982.

    I would be more concerned with the stock rods that are @ 12:1 compression, being able to handle all that stress. The oil pump gears usually fail due to higher RPM, over 7000 is too much for a stock oil pump, stay under 7 grand and you are relatively safe. also they didn't put any oil catchers on the pcv lines, tuning will suffer from all that blow by oil it can also cause cylinder detonation.
