Why do people that make videos like this never know what they're doing? Why would you recommend the 7700 XT at 400 when the 6800 has dropped to 360 and even below with more VRAM, similar efficiency and performance.
7900gre performs about the same as the 6800xt in games, yes I know the former is newer and has newer functions but a brand new from sfx 6800 xt in NA costs around 430$ new (you can find it even cheaper used) from sfx while the 7900 gre is around 550-580? Sometime last year, Amazon had an RX 7900 XT for $399. I know because I had only recently paid $799 for the same model.
That 4090 isn’t even worth it dude with all the problems it comes with and melting power cables im never getting a 4090
The 7900gre does not compare to the 4070 ti super, let alone the 4070 ti 💀💀💀 I'm never trusting this guy again
The 7900 GRE is now $449 USD June 2024. Definitely the king of this short. Disappointed that Apex Legends was used to showcase the 4090. Apex Legends uses the source game engine. Source is extremely optimized and any PC can basically run CSGO and Apex Legends.
Jesus christ that 4090 is even bigger than my mobo
Anyone building a budget rig, just get a 2080ti for 1440p gaming and spend the savings on better CPU/RAM 💪
Why do people that make videos like this never know what they're doing? Why would you recommend the 7700 XT at 400 when the 6800 has dropped to 360 and even below with more VRAM, similar efficiency and performance.
I will wait for 8800XT, my next gpu (hopefully).
7900gre performs about the same as the 6800xt in games, yes I know the former is newer and has newer functions but a brand new from sfx 6800 xt in NA costs around 430$ new (you can find it even cheaper used) from sfx while the 7900 gre is around 550-580? Personally I’ll take the 6800 xt and get a more powerful psu and maybe even a bigger case for 20-40 more dollars, Not to mention a new 6800 non xt is also a great deal and can be found for 370 which is what I would personally go with, value with older cards is honestly at its height right now and buying a newer graphics card for maybe a few more frames and more functions you’ll probably never use is a little dumb for casual builders like myself, but what do I know I just wanna save money 😭
where are these people getting these prices? rx 7700 xt is $750 - $800 here in au/nz
That last card is about the size of your torso!
I'm going 6950xt. It costs around the same as the 7800xt and performs closely to the 7900xt
I managed to get an RTX 4090 for 1600 dollars, but it was closer to 1700 if you count tax.
It is a truly outstanding GPU for gaming. Even dollar to performance is not all that unreasonable considering how insane its performance is.
just gonna wait when people go and get the 5090 and I can pick up a 4090 for $1000 maybe 900 bucks
Instead of the Rx 7700 xt the Rx 6800 is better in my opinion
man are these prices a dream for me its RX 7700 XT for 500 usd, RX 7900 GRE for 800 usd, 4070 ti super for 1200 usd and finally 4090 for 2200 usd
What about 3060’s and 3060ti’s? What would be the best used nVidia choice? I kind of need CUDA, and would like more vRAM. If I go AMD, are there any cheap high-RAM quadro cards out there I can buy (ideally with active cooling)?
I had an A100, but I sold it when the selling was good.
Just got a 7800xt on eBay for 380$ well 400$ after tax. Also just upgraded from a 5600x to a 5800x3d for 250$. I mainly play competitive titles at 1080p at high 240hz refresh rate so hopefully this will last me until AM6 comes out.
Used 7900xt are great value atm, got one for $645
Totalmente desacuerdo contigo amigo, el que piense lo contrario es fantástico o no sabe mucho de GPUs
meanwhile budget gamers watching this...
Buying RTX 6150 XTX Ti Titan for USD 399.00, the first 1 petaflop gpu.
My favorite GPU right now is a used RTX 3070 for just $250-270
What're your thoughts on the HPWR connector, then?
Thoughts on this build:
AMD Ryzen 5 7600X 4.7 GHz 6-Core Processor
Gigabyte GAMING OC Radeon RX 7900 GRE 16 GB Video Card
Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE ARGB 66.17 CFM CPU Cooler
Gigabyte B650 GAMING X AX ATX AM5 Motherboard
Corsair Vengeance RGB 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 Memory
Corsair MP600 Force Series Gen4 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 3.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive
Corsair 3000D RGB AIRFLOW ATX Mid Tower Case
Corsair RM850e (2023) 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply
Theres very little difference between 6000mhz and 5600mhz so id go with 5600mhz ram and maybe extra storage instead
@@ZZZakify OK thank you
i could be wrong because i'm kinda new to this but wouldn't a better cpu be better? in case you want to have like discord and some stuff open while your gaming while 6 cores and 12 threats is enough for gaming only i think some extra 2 cores and threads would be ideal here with your specs , i honestly would go with a R7
Dnt use this 7900 gre. I am suffering with the driver crash bro
@@rajamazumdar2481 apparently it is one of the best gpus right now
7900 gre is actually the direct competitor to the 4070 super. Both can be had for close to the same price here in Canada. 4070ti is more a competitor to the 7900 xt which both are overpriced imo
still kicking myself because i was impatient and got the 7800xt instead of the 7900gre for $50 more
A little bit here as well...but the 7800xt is still very good at 1440p and 4k. I'm happy.
for the rtx 5090 youre gonna need a whole national grid to power that because if you use a power supply even with 1600w the psu will explode lol
Just got myself a 7900 GRE and OMG it is a beast of a card
$399 used to be high end, now $399 buys you “an awesome value card.” AMD is just as bad as Nvidia
He wanted so badly for the 3rd gpu on the list to be AMD, regardless of how he willingly ignores the 4070 ti super is arguably as good (and at times better with frame gen) then literally any AMD card in existence. This is the epitome of fanboyism purely at its finest.
Damn my whole build cheaper than someone’s gpu
It is just sad that the cheapes card here is 400$. We really need some good 200$ options. Hopefully intel will fill this gap
Can't really agree that the 7900 GRE is equivalent to the 4070 Ti Super -- more like the 7900 XT (and a lot closer in price). I went for the 4070 Ti Super coz I want to play Cyberpunk!
4070 ti super thanks 👍
Lives in Europe. Just bought a refurbished 6800 xt for 450€. Can't complain about the performance since i upgraded from a gtx 1060 but man are the prices tough here.
i got a 6750xt for 300$ last yr ... and I realized i should've got the 7700 but since i didn't ... Ill probably go for the 7900GRE wen i do upgrade
What about budget GPU's?
If my CPU is Intel and I going to use AMD and not nivial GPU will performance drop?or should use rtx series?
7900gre rx 6800 and rx 6650 are the best values on the market at 549, 359, and 229 respectively..
it's not hard to make a BLOCKY gpu that over preforms at 10% than the AMD competitor, but AMD doesn't make you change your whole PC and ruin your setups and make you adapt with the gpu paying x1.5 more, instead of the gpu adapting with you and oh my god amd is WAY MORE COMFORTABLE TO USEEE, WAKE UPP
yeah maybe cheap in your country but as an australian. no a small car is the same price.
I tried upgrading my GTX1080 in my one old i7 7700K system and the CPU bottleneck was ridic. Went as low as a 4060 TI and was still getting way too much CPU use vs GPU use...and even then it wasn't THAT much better than the GTX1080 I have now...just returned and keeping the 1080. #CoolStoryBro
