I just had to leave a comment because what you are providing for free to beginners like me is absolutely incredible! Seriously, most people would charge for this type of teaching but you are taking quite a sacrifice to provide your knowledge for free. Thank you so much Michael. I’m gonna try to make time to go through all of your tutorials now.
some nice approaches for the edgeloops, but let me give you a better and faster way of doing all that. 1. Phongbreak selection 2. Bevel in solid mode 3. create the borrowed edge solution if necessary
Thanks! Yes. Select your objects in your object manager. then use the keyboard command "Option G". You can also go to the primitives and choose NULL. Place your null with all your objects you want sub divided and place inside the Subdivision Surface.
Great tutorial! Thanks for sharing your tips. I was watching a bunch of c4d tutorials recently, and the one you said you found the way to sharpen the edges with loop cuts, did you learn from Elementza's tutorial? I'm just trying to keep things organized in my head because there's so many different things to digest
@@MichaelBalchaitis No its fine like that because everyone who doesnt quite unterstand it can play it in normal speed, and those who like to have it faster can set the speed up... But thanks for your reply ;) Keep it up!

Does C4D not have any options for edge sharpen
it's the borrowed edge method of toby pitman (milg 11 of motionworks)
I've learned so much from him.
Also Check out Paul Conner. He does Maya Modeling but the concepts are transferable to C4D.
how to C4D subdivision surface layer and Polygon Selection

Thank you!
Nice tutorial, but i had to set the Speed to 1.5x
Thank you. I will speak faster and have more concise videos for future. Thanks for the valuable feedback.

Just you. Maybe you should upgrade your Dial up.
I did not get that ? Do not I watch?
Not sure mate, but I have some guesses:
- Change your glasses
- Your screen is scratched
- Your room is smoky
etc...
Since I irritate you so much, can I not look and unsubscribe?
