Pro tip from a bbqer. Start in the middle of the rack with your pinky and slide it under the membrane. It’s easier than you think and you get leverage so you never need a paper towel. This is the only way I do it now.
I played myself so hard today with this. I got a rack of ribs from my Grandpa and while prepping kept trying to do exactly what you're describing. (I'm on my days off and a few drinks in...) Couldn't figure out what I'm doing wrong and then see the cuts on the rack, realizing the membrane was already removed. 🤦🏻♂️😂 I'm a dope, but Grandpa's butcher is also a gem.
Bought some ribs today cause I haven't had any in a while. I'm going this route today. Too hot to grill or turn oven on. Thank you. Also made your sticky honey glaze salmon last week. Delish 😂
Never thought of boiling them first, but after watching this video, it totally makes sense. BTW, what's your favorite BBQ sauce? Oh, and thanks for posting this video.
Hey brother, thanks for the tips from Winnipeg, Manitoba. Damn is it refreshing to have a video like yours. None of the bum fluff banter, just to the point LOVE talk for the process.
why add seasoning before boiling? doesn't that wash a lot of the seasoning off? why I am not a fan of boiling any meat, except chicken for chicken and dumplings, I can see where it would shorten the process, takes me at least five hours on the pit at 225 to cook ribs.
It’s wild that I was looking for a recipe 2 weeks ago and your channel was the first page I searched 😭 mine turned out good but now I’m about to watch this video and do it again lol

@@igorfilin8342 a lot of people don’t have their post notifications turned on and are missing a lot of these recipes
@igorfilin8342 I think the notifications stack in such a way that I don’t get to see @whipitupwithjay vids. I hope it’s not the algorithm.
Perfect length for a cooking video, will try this method.
Have you ever tried the same cook without the boil?
Followed this recipe tonight while making ribs and they came out delicious. Will definitely be saving and using this recipe often.

why not boil them first and then season?
@@b61mp trust me, all the seasonings gets infused with the ribs. They came out so good. This is a method that a lot of Caribbean people use 🇭🇹
I’m so glad I clicked on this recipe. It was easy to follow and omg I’m writing this as I’m eating.
D E L I C I O U S 🎉
If you ain't sneezing, it ain't seasoning!!!!

Bruh !!! I will be attempting this later today !!

Why boil after season, boil beforehand and then season
The seasoning will be infused with all the seasonings as you boil, I’m the Caribbean culture this is how we cook. Trust me it works
