I know they die a lot easier than the New York ones, but the samurai armor combined with the tactical gear of the Osaka High Table troops is so slick looking
i sure don't wanna be the guy at the stair. not sure if Akira will get a spin off of her own since there's the ending which seem to went to kill Caine with Ballerina coming out next year.
An often overlooked detail in Caine’s fight with Koji’s men: he doesn’t kill them, rather he merely incapacitates them. He was ordered by the Marquis to kill John. Only John. At no know point in the movie does Caine kill someone unless it is absolutely necessary or they simply deserve to die. Even under the Marquis’s orders and being placed in an impossible position, Caine maintains at least a semblance of honor and moral judgment. Fantastic character writing and of course, Donnie Yen is just phenomenal to watch.
He does dish out headshots on Killa's men though. Granted, Killa marked him, John, and Mr. Nobody for death so it was fair game. Also, it felt like he was toying with the Osaka Continental guards, as if he was saying "you're out of my league, I'll beat you silly instead so you can learn".
@@tienluong9648some may not due to being used every fight interaction usually results to killing. The mind may forget to take into account of that detail earlier of “not to kill anyone but John”.
Few notes: 1. Her outfit reveal was badass 2. For a singer, she did a great job. The choreography at 5:57 was awesome! 3. "You armed?"... seriously? 4. Caine is an absolute MOOD 5. Hiroyuki Sanada. 6. 7:13 This catches Koji off-guard
I love how the High Table soldiers, despite wearing 40+ pounds of bulletproof armor and equipped with M4 carbines get their asses kicked by a pop singer.
Even if he had a pencil as opposed to a sidearm, the High Table Emissaries (the dudes in black armour) wouldn't stand a chance. I reckon they'd be soiling themselves.
Interesting thing to note: The battle outfit that Akira wears is bullet proof but clearly not fit for a caliber higher than 19mm. The high table forces in John Wick chapter 3 uses PTR 9CT, which use 9x19mm so it is a weaker caliber fit Sub Machine guns While the high table forces here use Assault rifles, a higher caliber gun, the Spike's Tactical Compressor which use 5.56x45mm.
Bow-kata seems cool in concept, in execution it just makes you wonder why the archer doesn’t actively just try to stay out of reach while firing arrows
Keanu Reeves was awesome, Hiroyuki Sanada brilliant, Rina made a great 1st impression but Donnie Yen stole the show in this movie. The use of censors was genius. Hats off to the best action franchise currently
"Guys, knives keep getting through our body armor" "Yeah, it's a known issue" "What if we made our bullets out of the same material as our knives?" "Nonsense"
Most ballistic kevlar or other aramids are not stab resistant, they are made to stop bullets which are not nearly as pointed. Knives or arrows push the kevlar fibers apart while bullets get caught like a soccer ball in a net.
These movies just give their characters literal plot armour instead of other action movies that just constantly give the bad guys terrible aim with their automatic weapons to keep the good guys alive. This really isn't any more unrealistic then seeing John McClane or James Bond avoid henchmen with machine guns by just running really fast to the side every time or hiding behind a simple car door that's made up of only sheet metal yet can somehow stop every bullet.
I never watched this fully, i watched the last half of it at my parents a while back. So I missed a few key details that now infuriate me. In what world are shuriken and bows better weapons than guns??? And in part 3, John needed to upgrade his ammunition considerably to even get through the High Table's armor. Yet, arrows are more than capable of taking these dudes out??? Make it make sense please. You see John popping off 4 shots in the time it takes one of them to notch an arrow and let it loose, it's so ridiculous.
And the part here John is shooting a single soldier and the dude is casually blocking bullets with his armguards, but his helmet isn't bulletproof??? Who writes this crap?
@@blacksunshine9995 Don’t know about shurikens, and I’m also no gun expert, but it seems a few studies have been done comparing bullets to bows/arrows to see which has more penetrative power. Depending on the caliber, results suggest that arrows do a better job at piercing things (e.g., bulletproof armour) than bullets do, due to better energy retention and also because arrows, unlike bullets, aren’t designed to flatten on impact. So in that sense, it’s actually not unrealistic that the defenders of the Japanese Continental might opt for bows and arrows instead of guns against heavily armoured enemies.
So you were totally fine with John Wick somehow surviving that ridiculous fall of the top of the Continental at the end of John Wick 3 but an arrow through a helmet is where you draw the line?
Historians have done experiments on bows and it depends on the poundage. An 200lb English Long Bow as used at Agincourt went through modern bullet proof armour easily. These things were designed to kill heavily armoured horses Concave bows wouldn't need that amount of poundage to do the same. There are reasons why Archers won at Agincourt and Crecy against knights in full armour.
love my boy hitting the Ip Man punches
Ip Man reincarnated into Caine. Confirmed.
right! ahhh🙈🙈🙈🙈
And he wasn't even going for killing blows here. He only broke those out when fighting Killa's goons and beyond.
Don't forget his signature wind up punch after which he also did in his earlier films like Flashpoint.
I know they die a lot easier than the New York ones, but the samurai armor combined with the tactical gear of the Osaka High Table troops is so slick looking
I like Akira's fighting style. She finds a way to defeat guys that are bigger than her.
Oh yeah! Just like the guy she kept stabbing haha, loved it!
by climbing them like a tree xD
i sure don't wanna be the guy at the stair. not sure if Akira will get a spin off of her own since there's the ending which seem to went to kill Caine with Ballerina coming out next year.
Love when she takes off her robe and she’s wearing a battle suit underneath and starts doing Mortal Kombat moves and shit
i hope we get to see a lot more fighting like that in the Ballerina movie

Did he cameo in Elder Scrolls?

The guilt John puts up when Akira tells him the consequences of what happens to his friend and herself too. Great acting Keanu!!
Akira never got that Father-Daughter dinner she wanted. 😢
It is the thought that counts.
She'll get it with me
Dayam what nostalgia, 2:07 those two sumo's E'Honda'd them haha
I love how the pop singer is shooting arrows through the armor plating of the henchmen.
I’m irritated she didn’t get the spin off film. Her story would have been much more intriguing than ballerina
Ballerina will be a useless movie anyway
0:39 Guy in the back literally wouldn't have lost his life if she hadn't pointlessly asked if John Wick was armed.
The colors and the all black remind me of when V fights Arasaka's elite.

Im glad the Sumo bodyguard wasn't killed during this fight, but im still wondering how 4 Soldier Equip with SMG cant killed them...

bro! Just imagine taking an arrow to the face drawn at point blank.
Samurais brought swords to a gun fight
Can you post the scene of John and Winston at Charon's grave and talking about the duel.
First time I noticed the sparks flying off the bulletproof suits.
Sadly, this was the last time John Wick saw Koji, alive.
Caine is also a master of the plot armor arts.
Credit where credit’s due, these two big ass guys ( 2:07 ) fight four heavily armored and gunned high table soldiers with just their bare hands💀
The sumo dude was Shizuuchi? (from Sanctuary)
I loved her dress
anyone who sees john wick, they never return to tell their family how they saw the baba yaga close up
Except the two indonesian guys in JW3, John let them live because they didin't kill him right away and gave him a fair fight
Baba means grandma. Yaga means evil. Baba yaga means old evil witch. I've heard she has saggy breast's. Gravity fed. Dunno.

How does John Wick never accidently shoot himself in the foot?
Çain drinkin soup yes lol
How does his gun have 27 bullets before reloading 🤔
Extended magazine, big grip the TT Pit viper he uses later has for example 17 in the standard, 22 in the slightly larger and 28 in the extended mag
John has completely bulletproof clothing, yet not a single one of those helmets deflected a damn thing. My suspension of disbelief only goes so far.
Yes they do. You can see this by watching the clip.

Yeah one could imagine that a bullet resistance doesn´t mean stab resistent because that are different things.
Their overly relying on magical suits again and again made this movie very weird to watch.
