I might be biased. Because I remember the old Superman, black and white series and some of the old radio Superman programs on AM radio that my father listened to. And I remember when the first Superman movie came out with Christopher Reeves. He was a hero to many. I hope his family finds peace with what happened to Chris. But "Man of Steel" gets me everytime. It wells up my sense of pride and patriotism. And the moral compass to do the right thing, when it isn't easy. I instilled this sense of doing the right thing in my son. We've since been estranged. I hope he remembers what I taught him. And that we can put our differences aside... One day. My son's name is Clark.
@robertmorris8997 I'm sorry to hear that. I hope she comes around. I've always believed time will heal all wounds. We just have to have faith that life will teach them the lessons of grace and forgiveness. My best to you friend.
My son is named Clark. Named him after Clark Kent. He has chosen a hard path in life- one that almost destroyed our family. I chose to take the high road. I hope my Clark comes back. I hope he knows the door is always open at home. He is, and always will be my son.
Now that I think about it, he could've at least carried the guy out of the building. It would be humiliating for the guy, and wouldn't be TOO crazy for a big guy like Clark.
man of steel will forever be the greatest superman movie ever created. I wish the future versions the very best, I really do. But nothing took hold of my soul like this superman.
I really want to see this!!! The inner battles are so loud. It’s amazing how he proves that he could have just demolish a human bully by destroying his prized possession smh. Love it. All kinds of hurt for the bully… for the rest of his life! Love it.
I get the point the movie was trying to have his father make, but this ain't it. Let the kids die? "Son, I think you can save the world one day, but for now, you have to let a bunch of kids drown."
A father/man has only has a responsibility for his family. Deep down he knows Clark is right, that doesn't mean he isn't right either. That's the entire point of that scene. Neither is wrong, while simultaneously not being right. Clark brought unwanted attention that could cost the lives of his family and himself being taken.... But letting them drown wasn't a morally driven choice..... thus he saved them, endangering his family.....
Oh yeah, this is fucking retarded. I wholeheartedly hate this version of Superman. He could pull the bus out of the water in a breeze and not even be seen, or disguise himself so he won’t be recognized, but nooo, Snyder has to write his scenes as if being Superman and actually, you know, saving lives was an unsufferable burden on his shoulders. « Rest assured that you were sent here for a reason son, but I guess it’s not for saving children, idk. » Why the hell take on Superman if you’re not going to, you know, HAVE a Superman in your movie ?
Yea idk its self inflicted drama 2.0. Hollywood loves to think people can’t handle a superhero (some can’t especially the rich which most actors are) most of us would be cheering on, a superhero.
@@Whatevs13Shit, never thought about that. I've seen people argue about the fact that supes destroying the truck was out of character, but this comment saves the scene for me

I love Cavils Superman. But I can’t deny that the last time I saw this scene I did not like what he did to the guys truck. The scene was honestly perfect after the lady said it wasn’t worth it.
Yes, such a trivial thing. Plus, pouring sugar in the angry trucker's tank would have been just as effective, with less risk of uncovering his super powers.
honestly, i liked it. shows that clark has human inside him, both the good and bad. That dude completely disrespected him and it will take an angel or a pushover to ignore that. This just shows what happens when the obvious solution for clark is to rip the guy into pieces isn't what he believes in, yet the need to break something, the emotions inside, persists. Really shows an interesting dynamic about anger and self-control. Imagine how scary itd be if superman lost control.
People never give enough credit to this movie. That scene where Clark is in the closet because he can't process all the voices he hears..that is the single best definition I've ever seen for what people with ADD go through. "Then make the world smaller..."
"You were sent here for a reason Clark" NO HE WASN'T, HE WAS SENT TO ESCAPE DEATH 😭 (I meant there was no actual specific reason he was sent to Earth other than survival, like he wasn't sent to be a military leader or to take over the planet etc 😭😭)
Love how in movies people just casually walk by something and magically find clothes *perfectly* in their size, meanwhile I’m out here spending an hour in a store, trying on a million pairs of pants and hoodies, and still leaving with nothing that fits right.
it was good...but i hate scenes that break the logic created within the movie..and there is no way they would not have heard that being done to the truck.

Superman !
THIS was a great movie! One of the best Superman movies, hands down.
Clark needed the clothes to fit in, not because he was "cold"
He still shouldn't have stolen them! 😂
Man of Steel is the best one because it's the most practical
Same thing with my daughter. Haven't seen or heard from her in over 2 years.
@robertmorris8997 I'm sorry to hear that. I hope she comes around. I've always believed time will heal all wounds. We just have to have faith that life will teach them the lessons of grace and forgiveness. My best to you friend.
@@sambolimbo Same hopes for you.
My son is named Clark. Named him after Clark Kent. He has chosen a hard path in life- one that almost destroyed our family. I chose to take the high road. I hope my Clark comes back. I hope he knows the door is always open at home. He is, and always will be my son.
If your an actor and u want action roles......look like this guy
8:37 😂😂😂😂😂 “man……I suck!?”
Push a man like that and it knocks YOU back..and u still wanna throw sh:t 😅 brave fella
There's a slight line between bravery and plain stupidity. He's actually the second :D
Well he’s probably drunk
Some are just not that bright! He was one of them!
I demand a fan film of that trucker going into Homelander's bar.
i tear up everytime kevin costner says "you ARE my son"
Best Superman ever.
Now that I think about it, he could've at least carried the guy out of the building. It would be humiliating for the guy, and wouldn't be TOO crazy for a big guy like Clark.
I used to think Kevin Costner was a tool, But have come to realize, he is an AWESOME actor
Did you just called Yellowstone crap?
One of the best superman period.
man of steel will forever be the greatest superman movie ever created. I wish the future versions the very best, I really do. But nothing took hold of my soul like this superman.
its still funny everytime he tried to push clark and it felt like he tried to push a brick wall
I really want to see this!!! The inner battles are so loud. It’s amazing how he proves that he could have just demolish a human bully by destroying his prized possession smh. Love it. All kinds of hurt for the bully… for the rest of his life! Love it.
Costner was a great Pa Kent. Brought a level of humanity to him that we can all relate too.
Agreed, but John Schneider was also fantastic in Smallville
How we didn't get like a dozen films from this, I'll never know. Snyder should be given full control of DC
That bully should have thank him..
He did
@@swordchannelfires oh🤭
who's here after superman trailer
I get the point the movie was trying to have his father make, but this ain't it. Let the kids die? "Son, I think you can save the world one day, but for now, you have to let a bunch of kids drown."
A father/man has only has a responsibility for his family. Deep down he knows Clark is right, that doesn't mean he isn't right either. That's the entire point of that scene. Neither is wrong, while simultaneously not being right.
Clark brought unwanted attention that could cost the lives of his family and himself being taken....
But letting them drown wasn't a morally driven choice..... thus he saved them, endangering his family.....
Yeah, that "Maybe" part of the line should've been edited out. I would have rather have him say something more of the line of, "I don't know, Clark"
@@N2Deep00 Still missing the point.
Yea idk its self inflicted drama 2.0. Hollywood loves to think people can’t handle a superhero (some can’t especially the rich which most actors are)
most of us would be cheering on, a superhero.
This movie had so much potential.
Henry Cavill is THE Superman!
Damn Straight
8:13 Passive Aggressive Clark Kent.
Real
i would like feature length episodes of superman just hitchhiking across america like christopher mccandless, into the wild style
Bro tortured a truck😂
Plot twist: it was a transformer
I know what Mr. Kent intended, but he raised that boy the right way. If you can make a difference, you make the difference.
Imagine bruv just explaining to his insurance about his truck ☠️ must’ve been an awkward call lol
Last scene 🔥 perfect revenge
absolutely perfect. He has no choice but to call the cops, who are going to ask if he was planning on driving his truck drunk. Genius.
@@Whatevs13Shit, never thought about that. I've seen people argue about the fact that supes destroying the truck was out of character, but this comment saves the scene for me
Um ..why does everyone just sit there waiting to drown lol...they don't even get out of their seats 😂
glad no one saw or heard a semi getting crushed by logs less than 100 feet away
"you are my son" fuck i want that hug
My Latin teacher said that the “S” on Superman’s uniform doesn’t stand for “Superman.” It stands for “Spe,” which is Latin for “Hope.”
Hmm, you try to shove someone, and when you do, YOU fly back two feet and they don’t budge….. and your decision is to KEEP messing with the guy…..
Tbf the guy was probably intoxicated.
As marvel fan the man of steel and BvS was something else.. i really loved it. The music and everything is amazing with a cinematic styles
This scene is the most funny part😂😂😂
Guys whom once trained, training and still in service yet still at the dinning table and eating while watching Super guy disguise as weak guy being bullied.😅😅😅
My favorite Superman, since Chris Reeve😢, Love you Henry for a great performance 💙 ❤️
I love this movie and all the actors in it.
I have never seen the movie, but I watch this clip everytime it comes across the algorithm. It might just be time to finally watch the movie.
It's about the mindfuck Superman is giving the truckerdude. He cannot explain nor comprehense how his truck ended up in this condition.
Personally I thought it was over the top hilarious.
honestly, i liked it. shows that clark has human inside him, both the good and bad.
@@souldepletion13 No one needs to imagine... There's an entire arc about it.
The casting, writing, and design in this movie was amazing.
Has it ever been explained how superman shaves??
he looks in the mirror and he uses his laser vision to shave.
with kryptonite razor blades duh ...
Gillette. The best Supe can get.
He is Superman, he chooses to not grow hair here and there.
@@1amfr3eYes I once saw him do that in an animated series from the early 2000's I believe.
This whole movie cast was amazing
This version of Superman will never be outdone. It is an all time great
People never give enough credit to this movie. That scene where Clark is in the closet because he can't process all the voices he hears..that is the single best definition I've ever seen for what people with ADD go through. "Then make the world smaller..."
How do you not hear someone trashing a truck from inside a bar?
Simple. Clark picked it up, and took it into the woods. I'm pretty sure jackass was in that bar for awhile, drinking. By then, Clark had returned it.
@@johndanielsforJesus Yup, not many people can pick up a truck.
@@steveo7502 he is an alien with immense strength
General Zod.. I respect his commitment to krypton.. He was a true general... Release the world engine.. one phrase I love so much
"You were sent here for a reason Clark" NO HE WASN'T, HE WAS SENT TO ESCAPE DEATH 😭
(I meant there was no actual specific reason he was sent to Earth other than survival, like he wasn't sent to be a military leader or to take over the planet etc 😭😭)
To be fair he don't know that
You just said the reason while saying he wasn’t sent there for a reason 🤦🏾♂️
so in exactly your words the reason is because "HE WAS SENT TO ESCAPE DEATH" lmao
That would be a reason
Actually KalEl’s Father planned that he would be a leader by example on earth- important part of the story.
The superpower is finding the right clothes the first time.
This is a great movie
Old is gold always great Scan 😊☺️🤠🤠
Pushing toe school bus out water = epic. No bringing him back as Supes = epic bad decision!!
Lots of muscle here, lots of muscle....
Kevin Costner was the greatest Jonathan Kent everrrrrrr🔥🔥🔥
John Schneider: Hold my beer.
Love how in movies people just casually walk by something and magically find clothes *perfectly* in their size, meanwhile I’m out here spending an hour in a store, trying on a million pairs of pants and hoodies, and still leaving with nothing that fits right.
Henry cavill's acting is top notch.😂😂
chills... literal chills...
it was good...but i hate scenes that break the logic created within the movie..and there is no way they would not have heard that being done to the truck.
Fair point. I'm thinking drag it a few miles away, tear it apart, carry it back.
@@trinarybit2 thinking about it, would be funny if the truck was just on it's roof. in perfect condition just the entire wrong way up. would be more confusing than devestating.
