Ya, it's so much nicer because I'd say that's all the majority of people use the glove box for. The Hyundai Ioniq 5 has one similar to it (but bigger) in every market but the US. Apparently the head of Hyundai US thought it was too small so instead the US spec gets a massive traditional glove box which is so deep that it requires the driver to bend over to actually reach anything inside it.

I’d still trust my phone to have better biometrics (which can also improve as I get a new phone more often than a new car.)
At that point, app-based keys aren’t too much of a bother. Better yet, have the new Apple car keys tech since, again, I trust Apple’s software over a car manufacturer and it has it open by proximity with your phone or watch which can make it more seamless than the car having the biometrics.
That said, I’m sure it’d still be nice to have just in case your phone and watch run out of battery while you also don’t have your key with you (which you never know… might happen.)

It all reminds me of the path that Lexus took in the 90's and it seems currently Genesis is on the road to repeat its success. Sadly in Europe, where I live, Genesis is almost non existent and on this basis it actually reminds me more of Infiniti or Acura and the only times I have seen Genesis on the road was the same G90 with South Korean flags that's belonging to Embassy of South Korea in my country.

The comment on the luxurious feel isn’t applicable if the vehicle is optioned with the Nappa Leather Seat Pack - which gives Nappa Leather seats, suede headlining, suede A/B/C pillars, suede sunvisors, aluminium interior garnish, leatherette dashboard and suede door centre garnish. Also virtually all the trim which looks like metal is metal. The Bang and Olufsen Audio system with 17 speakers and active road noise cancellation is also amazing.

This car is gorgeous (except the rims). I disagree with Doug, this is better looking than a Mache-E or Model Y.
Hyundai / Kia / Genesis are killing it lately with design and technology.
Where i see the facial recognition being useful is if you go do a water sport and don't want to carry the key for obvious reasons, this is a great alternative.

It is much better looking than them and unless you want to spend much more dollars is just as fast. Only thing is that it is not very sportily tuned the susspension, I have not drivven a Mach E but suposedly they are a decent handler

About that front trunk use... this is actually still a peeve of mine when an electric vehicle that could've had ample front trunk space doesn't have ample front trunk space. Here's why. Sure, the rear is typically enough for most instances for your day to day life, but take my situation for example. I drive a 2010 Lincoln MKS. My mother drives a 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport. Both cars fit 5 people. When we want to go somewhere far that will require packing bags and other things, we want to take the car that fits everything without an issue. My Lincoln is a normal shaped full-sized sedan and fits everything with room to spare in the trunk and everyone seated, my moms Mitsubishi does not. In fact, often times we have stuff piled sky high completely covering the rear window. Considering the Outlander Sport is a similarly sized/shaped vehicle to this GV60, it would work wonders if this car had more front trunk space, even if just to fit that one last bag that we typically have to squish into the Outlander. It's little things like that that make having a decent front trunk worth it in an EV, regardless if it gets used very often.

Wow!! This is all I have been waiting for this one and also thanks Doug for reviewing and POV test driving in my favorite All-electric crossover SUV from Genesis.

my car has a decent size frunk and we use it all the time - when we carry out food - or go on travel - or keep things out of sight - super useful adding tremendous value!
