Bought a wrecked Ninja 300 and rebuilt it from the ground up, myself. It was great therapy and I love that bike to pieces. I’ve ridden other bikes, but having touched every bolt and fastener on that little 300 makes me love it even more. It’s not super fast, but it rips corners with the fastest bikes on the road. I own it and that’s all that matters. 🤷‍♂️

This guy's personal description of what it feels like and where the headspace is at when you're the type of rider who is addicted to that speed adrenaline high of motorcycles is the most accurate description I've ever heard someone flesh out on UA-cam, it's extremely sincere.
For anyone who tends to think speed isn't everything and the ride enjoyment is more important and wonders why people would even care, the first 10 minutes of this man's take is exactly why speed is everything to some people.

Went out and bought a brand new monster as my first ever motorcycle never rode anything besides a pedal bike before. It has been the best thing I ever did no buyers remorse whatsoever. It may not be the best beginner bike but respect for the ride goes a long way. The day after I bought the bike found y’all been watching since. Thanks for posting this. I’ve been debating on getting a Suzuki Hayabusa as my first (and only bike)…thing is so many say it’s a bad ‘newbie’ bike because the way things can go tits up so quickly, and instead say it’s better to build up to it….my problem is, I don’t want to own 3 or 4 bikes before I get onto a Hayabusa - I’m not rich and not getting any younger. I’m not wanting to get this bike to be a speed freak on the public roads…just owning run and riding it 5mins into town and back is fine for me….so knowing there are others who have chosen this route (I.e go straight to the bike they want) is helping to sway me….
Sadly our UK test isn’t that easy. I think it helps I’m a car driver and have driven for so long - in effect I can go down a different route ‘test’ wise compared to say a 16yr old starting out on a scooter/moped….but I think I still have to take something like x3 different tests.
….ps how fckn expensive is biking gear man!!! 😂😂😂

I started on a 1100cc ninja zx11, never had a single problem with it, just respect the machine and be aware on the road. Motorcycles just aren’t for everyone and for the people who insist on them despite not having the skill maybe limiting for 300cc sounds like a good idea

My first motorcycle was a VF1000F (it was around 10 years old at the time). Not quite a Hayabusa, but a sub 11 second bike and fully considered a "liter bike" at the time. Other than going through MSF I had no prior experience on dirt bikes or any motorcycle. I've ridden several years now and never had an accident. And I ride pretty aggressively too, I definitely know and love WOT. My current bike is a ZX-14R, which is even a bit crazier than a Hayabusa (stock levels...anyway). So yes, IMO it IS POSSIBLE for people to start on big bikes but ONLY if you are not a crazy a****** or too timid that you'll scare and ask for a do-over. For those of us that have the "right stuff", it is possible to start on something other than a 250.

I come from a different "Hayabusa" angle. Even at an older age, I am at best an amateur motorcyclist. I don't do twisties - or go too slow through them- and I rarely go over 85MPH. But I bought one to join the club, the prestige factor and all. My friends would say, "You're going to kill yourself on that thing!" My answer to them was, "Every motorcycle has to be able to do 3 MPH and a 600cc can do 150MPH easily." But the truth was, my 'Busa was complete overkill, and it was too heavy for me. I love the icon, but my next bike will probably be a 600 or 750. More than enough for me. But I love them and always will.

Hayabusa is an excellent sport tourer if you keep to speed limit. Big body ergo tend to do that.

An old 1982 Suzuki GS1100G was handed to me AND that's how I learnt the basics and I'm still alive to tell the story.
Not the best way I reckon but still doable if you use the head above your shoulders and not the one between your legs.

I mean people memed Hayabusha about it's stupid power, but it is ultimately a sports tourer with comfortable big body. If you use it slowly, you can munch miles, and Japanese did it exactly that way.
