@@JoeAchilles1 Just a proper car enthusiast full stop, definitely separates you from a lot of UA-camrs. Glad to see this car on the road! Fancy a Currborough sprint day at some point this year?
No matter how many times I look at the F87 it is waaaaaaaayyyy better than the new G87. Such a shame BMW were not able to build on what was an amazing framework to begin with. She's a keeper Joe and congratulations on putting this back on the road.
I think the new interior is a lot nicer, rest of the car... F87 all the way. I've been looking at getting one of the two. Honestly I'd rather keep my 20k difference and go f87 just seems the better value for money car.
Congratulations on getting back that beauty! Just got my 24 RS3 2 weeks ago, and i want to thank you for pushing me along to buy the car after seeing you praise how good it was!👍
Happy to see you back in your car! I started watching your videos back in time before purchasing my own m2 mid last year. Keep up the great work. Liebe Grüße from Germany ✌️
Yes, we CAN see the excitement on your face, and it's so good to see 🙂 I'm happy to see your M2 is back on the road again. I wish we had shops like Swift Performance here in Norway. Keep up the good work and "Bmw-greetings" from Norway 🙂
Great to see your happiness returning Joe, I look forward to watching more of this car in future vlogs. Big shout out to Swift Performance and their skilled staff too. Kevin.
Great to see it back on the road and dialled in to perfection - truly 'your' car. You're making me love my M2 again. I never get to drive it, I've forgotten what an epic drive it is.
I love my M2 (n55) more than anything. With Recaros, the right tires (Cup2 265/295) and a good suspension, this car is soooooo good. For the money, there is nothing better to buy. I also have a manual M2 and love the gearbox. I drive the car a lot on the racetrack and have never missed the DKG. Next week a short shifter kit from Autosolutions will be fitted to the car. 25% shift travel reduction (based on Porsche GT3 gearbox). I'm very excited to see how it drives
I haven't driven an M2 manual, but I previously had an E46 M3 and I installed a 30% reduction autosolutions shifter. It was a big improvement, but I'm hooked on DCT. Definitely do the CDV delete while you are at it.
I’ve come close a couple of times to sell my M2c. Then I do a track day in it and it surprises me just how quickly I’m going. It’s 10mph faster at the same point as my 46m3 at Anglesey. Doesn’t sound a lot but it feels bloody fast! I find it to be the antidote of a shitty week…. Seeing that smirk, yes a smirk back on your face just tells me that M2c of yours is pressing those FUN buttons just as mine does for me! A cracking car and well sorted by masters of the craft at SP. Now, just drive it’s socks off 😎
So glad you have it back! These cars are so special. Not just best for the money. Just one of the best street cars that loves the track as well that’s ever been made IMO. That includes Porsches.
Congratulations on getting your car back on the road. Well done Swift Performance. I have a 2020 M2C DCT Hockenheim Silver so I especially enjoy this series. I previously had an E46 M3 6MT. I did a CDV delete and installed a 30% reduction autosolutions shifter. Even with those improvements, I don't miss the manual a bit. I'm a huge fan of DCT.
Congrats on your ‘New car day’ Joe! I remember that dreaded episode, thinking I didn’t like the look of the tall shifter / gloves combo. Glad to see the BMWP knob back in-situ 😀 Big smiles 👊🏻
Can we please get a Harry M, Joe A and Jay Emm meetup? Since ya’ll use the same set of corners in your video, lol, I think it would be pretty cool. Cheers.
Just a point about another video of yours, the recent BMW X5 which you published some weeks back. I thought it was a fantastic review of what is clearly a very very good vehicle. You structured and delivered the video really well and I found it so interesting I must have watched it 6 times. Well done.
Interior looks spot on for getting the most out of the M2. I’d secure the seatbelt swinging behind you though, wouldn’t want that whipping around in a spin or accident 😬
100% that shifter contributed to the money shift. From what I hear the best oem-ish shifter is the auto solutions, looks the same, shortens the shift, you can select how tall you want it to be and improves the feel. Or CAE but I feel with the CAE you still increase the chances of money shifting
Amazing mate M2 is the best track/ fun car to drive, have a great track day Tuesday looks like I’m not going to make it this time having to do hospital run again with my dad and his fight with cancer, have a great time and look after it mate, hopefully will catch up soon and ill send over some pictures of my Vw t6.1 when its back from the body shop in about a week, stay safe take care and keep up your amazing reviews 👏
Joe, you might want to secure your harnesses when not in use mate. If you have to slam on etc they could swing round and give you a good whack in the mush 😬
I was wondering what you were gonna do getting back into an s55 with a manual shift, glad the oem shifter is back and you feel more comfortable with it.
I've recently taken the clutch delay valve out've my Golf R along with a travel stop and assist spring removal and it is loads better. Makes me wonder why they do it, i also think it contributes to wearing out the standard clutches when driving spiritidly as it allows that moment of slip.
Love how you made changes to the car to suit your preferences, it doesnt get much better than that. Not going to remove the subtle flat bootlid spoiler and go for a nice touring look wing at the back? 😀
Really emotive video Joe, was wonderful to feel your delight driving the car you adore. All us petrol heads could fully sense and appreciate the magical moment you were sharing with us. Look forward to seeing more content on this awesome M2 comp. 👍
So pleased you're enjoying your M2 Comp again Joe. Have you got a link to the rear gear linkage bushing you installed please? Thinking of doing the same to mine. Does it eliminate the "phantom 2nd" you can occasionally find in the stock box when driving hard on track?
Hi Joe, Great video and lovely car, definitely a dream build. A few questions regarding the shifter and the CDV delete: Would you say the tighter bushing has made the shiftaction heavier? Or just more precise? Did you only do the rear bush, or also the front bush? I want to upgrade the shifter bushings in my M140i, but I don't want to end up with a box that feels too heavy (as i think the standard box, purely in terms of shift "weight", is quite well judged). Regarding the CDV delete, how has it changed the driving experience for you? Some people say it makes shifting much more precise, others say it doesn't do much. Would be great to have your, always realistic, view on things:) Personally I think that in the m140i the shifting in the lower gears tends to be a little jerky (compared to for example a manual Mk 7 GTI), I wonder if the CDV delete does anything to resolve this. Hope you find some time to give your feedback!
Hello Joe, hope you're OK and enjoying the Easter holidays. Please can you feature driving the BMW x3m competition in rain. I have a bmw x3m competition mand feels a handful when driving in the rain. Your help will be highly appreciated. Donald Harding. .
“Ooo Volkswagen Phaeton, that’s cool.” You’re a man after my own heart.
Haha yes, you don't see many on the roads 👀

the most beautiful BMW ever made
M2CS, my favorite of all bimmers!!
Great to see the M2 back on the road. Love the subtle upgrades SP have done 👍
Thank you!
Congratulations on getting back that beauty! Just got my 24 RS3 2 weeks ago, and i want to thank you for pushing me along to buy the car after seeing you praise how good it was!👍
Love it Joe! This car was one of the reasons I bought an M2 Comp in early 2021, and I too love it to death. It's a keeper and I'm NEVER giving it up!
It's great to see that your beloved BMW M2 is fixed and back on the road, Joe!
Cheers!
AWESOME! Such a great upgrade to the M2. Loved the cheeky editing 🤣
Haha glad you noticed 👊
I'm genuinely happy for you Joe

Congratulations on getting your car back on the road. Well done Swift Performance. I have a 2020 M2C DCT Hockenheim Silver so I especially enjoy this series. I previously had an E46 M3 6MT. Good Job Swift Performance! Gratz Joe; stay happy.
It's good to see you back & happy in a car you clearly love.
Cheers John!
Great to see it back in motion. Looking forward to seeing future videos with it!
Must feel amazing to get the car back. The car is looking amazing.
Great to see and hear delight from you in this! Enjoy 👊👍
This warms the heart. Congrats!
♥
So happy for you Joe. Booking myself in at Swift for those shifter mods on my F80.
Great video Joe! Can’t wait to see more videos on this car.
Cheers man!
Stunning car. Would love to see it do some laps around the Ring...
Brilliant!
Great to see the M2 fighting fit again and ready for the track day session. Hope to see you at a few this year. 😃
Good to see you back in your M2! I know that feeling.
Great "final" episode of the rebuild. The M2 looks amazing. I am looking forward to seeing it on a track day.
Cheers buddy, hope all is well!
Great to see the M2 back on the road Joe you can see how happy you are about 😊. Enjoy it mate
Congrats on your ‘New car day’ Joe!

Congratulations, mate. What a special car.
I used SP following your videos. Tim made some adjustments to my 335d. Lovely guy!
👍 great to see you have it back and also you’re feeling better
Your Back home. Nice to see the m2 back on the road
So much nicer than the new M2! Look at that nice instrument binnacle, switchgear, and tiny screen that is not distracting.
Just a point about another video of yours, the recent BMW X5 which you published some weeks back. I thought it was a fantastic review of what is clearly a very very good vehicle. Cool video mate and your right Swift are a great bunch. They have done a few bits on my car and will be doing more shortly.
It’s back 🎊 🎉 congratulations.
Congrats Joe, it looks amazing!
Great to see her back!
Glad to see this back on the road! I followed the M2 saga since you got it.
Thank you 🙏🏽
Love my E82 135i and it’s almost time to move on , and im so in love with the F87 M2
Interior looks spot on for getting the most out of the M2. I’d secure the seatbelt swinging behind you though, wouldn’t want that whipping around in a spin or accident 😬
That M2 is a keeper, so sorted those last few tweaks have made it fit like a glove. buzzing for you Joe👍
Great to see you two reunited!
So great to see this back on the roads! Just be careful with the shifting 😉
Haha yes!

Congrats - back in the M2C saddle 🤘
Cheers!
Nice one Joe, enjoy mate
Cheers man
Very happy for you Joe, good work from all involved. Still enjoying my OG M2 and it even have an Achilles-spec steering wheel from Royal 😂
Awsome job Joe.......SP know their stuff .

Maybe consider using Alcantara for the console delete to match the shifter boot? Congrats on getting the M2C back on the road!
Man i had to watch the opening scene more than once.. that launch.. with that orgasmic amount of slip then grip 🤤😂
Haha glad to hear man!
I am 5 months late, but it's a joy to see this car back on the road. 🙃
Thanks for the video Joe , i think if we would ever meet up one day hours will fly by chatting all BMW stuff 😄😄👌🏻👌🏻
Great to see the M2 back mate
Perfect timing eh, longer days.
Another great video 🙌🏼💥
Cant wipe that smile even if you tried. Congrats mate!
Good to see it back. Hope everything is well aside the car related things :)
Finally the M2 has come back
I've recently taken the clutch delay valve out've my Golf R along with a travel stop and assist spring removal and it is loads better. Makes me wonder why they do it, i also think it contributes to wearing out the standard clutches when driving spiritidly as it allows that moment of slip.

Sick car Joe. Got one myself.
Great Story of this Mega great M2, thx
So pleased you're enjoying your M2 Comp again Joe. Have you got a link to the rear gear linkage bushing you installed please? Thinking of doing the same to mine. Does it eliminate the "phantom 2nd" you can occasionally find in the stock box when driving hard on track?
Hi Joe, would you do a petrolhead tours in the car as it is now, or would you say you have taken it too far to enjoy it for that?
Great content love the M2 .
Last of the small M cars and manual 👍
Hi Joe,
Great video and lovely car, definitely a dream build.
A few questions regarding the shifter and the CDV delete:
Would you say the tighter bushing has made the shiftaction heavier? Or just more precise? Did you only do the rear bush, or also the front bush?
I want to upgrade the shifter bushings in my M140i, but I don't want to end up with a box that feels too heavy (as i think the standard box, purely in terms of shift "weight", is quite well judged).

Hope you find some time to give your feedback!
This car looks so much fun 👌
Have you tried the new Powerflex shifter bushing? Going to get one for my M2C
Yes, we installed one during the rebuild, it was in one of the recent videos 👌🏽
what about the cae shifter?
hey joe, are you able to please link the new bush you put in the gearbox linkage? have the identical car here in OZ. cheers!
Mate, if you could plug that little rocket into your own energy... OMG! 👊👊👊 Eeeeeasy now!
Yes Joe, mega
What wheels you got on there? Apex? Looks great!
Hello Joe, hope you're OK and enjoying the Easter holidays.

Glad you are back on the road with it and a centimeter here and there can be very important 😂😂😂 (sorry had to)
Awesome car ❤
You have a G87 as well right?? Have you made a video comparing both M2’s??
What a lovely day for it.
Which grill inserts are you using?
Great video!!!! Ballpark how much would it cost to change the bushings in the M2 gear box linkage?
Does Swift performance sell a rear seat delete kit? I did not see anything on their website.
No matter what I do I can't make the maths work for an M car, despite >£100k household income. Fair play.
I don't know how people do it, I'd need a £200k household income to feel comfortable buying a £30k+ BMW outright 😂
I'm sure you could
Nice !!! Enjoy
Would love to see this car on the Nurburgring with Misha Charoudin.
Is this the same road Harry drives down?
I think the Austin Cambridge was quicker..
Bulkhead is 👌
