Wolfgang Uber Rinseless Wash uses a ratio of 1:47 millilitres(1/3 ounce to 16 oz, US) for a waterless wash solution.I would say that ratio would be hard to beat by other waterless washes. Car Craft Auto Detailing thank you! Trying to get all the advice I can before your channel goes way up. You are by far the best paint detail guy on UA-cam.
Car Craft Auto Detailing I wanted to say thank you for doing this review. I used the ech2o today and it was even better than I expected. I used a 10 to 1 ratio and it came out really great.
Excellent video on these waterless washes. I have used all of them except Shine Supply and I agree with you on everything you mentioned about Ech2o, Opti-Clean and Poorboys. I am enjoying Ech2o the most and I did not purchase Poorboys for the exact same reason. I guess you folks down there are getting hit with water restrictions.
Hi, In your opinion what is a true replacement for Meguiar's D114? I like D114 because it concentrated and it has multiple use with different dilution ratio.
D114 was never sold here locally so I really can’t personally compare it to other options, but CarPro Ech2o is a favourite of mine, and diluted up to 200:1 for rinseless washing 20:1 for waterless and 10:1 as a quick detailer so its quite versatile and economical depending on use.
hello Sandro, since winter is comming for me im about to try this out:)(ech2o) is there any specific CarPro towels you would recommend for this job? Thank you and have a nice day
I bought ech2o on a whim 2 years ago and never looked back! This was a great video, it really reinforced what I've been using. I recently read that waxes like Collinite 845 are less likely to adhere and perform as well due to ech2o's properties; what final protection product would you recommend to couple it with if this was true? Would it have to be a coating like CQuartz UK 3.0 or can I get away with sealant and waxes still? Thanks mate, subscribed, you have great content!
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing i see.. Meaning the Carpro Ech2O is a very impressive product. I meant, if a car has a fresh ceramic coating, the Ech2O will perform even easier & better i supposed?
You don’t have to to add a wax/sealant after using them but it would be a good to have one on your car paint as these products don’t provide any durable protection.
Which one do you think is better carpro waterless or meguiars ultimate waterless I want to use one to wash my sportbike, it has ultimate wax on it from your experience which one will do a better job?
The Meguiars is just crazy expensive in Australian so I only bought it one to test it, but I though it worked well. The Carpro is still my favourite overall though.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing meguiars sells the same product in a gallon where i live and is concentrated, dilution ratios between 4:1 - 20:1 they recommend 4:1 to match the consumer waterless wash and wax so overall is cheap when is diluted but after i finish with my can of ultimate wax new version I'm thinking about using a meguiars sealant like hybrid ceramic wax or m27 pro hybrid ceramic sealant so i need a waterless product with sio2 or just no wax or sio2 in it to wash my bike The pro version of ultimate waterless wash and wax is "D115 rinse free express wash and wax" 72$ dollars per gallon
Sandro, got a question for you. Do you re utilize your rags after washing rinseless or waterless? I have noticed that I am introducing swirls to my car paint ever since I went rinseless. While the convenience outweighs washing with a 2 bucket system, my car in 3 months has far more scratches than it did before after almost a whole year washing with a microfiber mitt and the 2 bucket system but I am not sure if its the microfiber rags that I am washing and re utilizing or if its during the drying/quick detailing.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing Cheers, you use more than twice as many cloths as I have been using per wash, I can pretty much guess that I am flipping them way too late which is probably the reason I am causing the swirls. Will try flipping more often/using more rags.
I was unaware just how much hydrophobic characteristics these products add on their own its pretty interesting. Like some other things in their range CarPro gives dilutions for all the various uses of Ech2o and for me personally the value makes it the winner but good smelling products do make the job more enjoyable. Do you think it adds decent UV protection as well?
Quick question. I’m on a mission to find European style spray nozzles for my bottles in the USA. I’m talking about the kind on NV Nova Jet, Nanolex and on the poor boys in this video. Any idea of the name or manufacturer?
Good battle! 👍, but I would have liked to see meguiar's detailer D115 express rinse free wash & wax in the battle the waterless / rinse free! , I like D115 😉. Used as a "waterless" Quick Detailer I prefer it to ONR! I find D115 more lubricant!, But actually returns More expensive than ONR. But me the quality take over the price!
Hey Sandro, got a new vehicle and plan was to apply CQ UK 3.0 and already bought the kit from waxit, but due to water restriction I cannot use the hose and do a proper prep. Is waterless car wash is a safe way to keep the car clean for coming months until the water restriction is lifted and until CQ UK is applied? Should I follow anything in addition. As always video is a gem and thank you
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing Thanks a lot Sandro, yes planning to get a pressure rinse at a self service center first, if I use Nova Jet now should I use a different prep other that what you mentioned in the "ULTIMATE PAINT PROTECTION KIT" (www.waxit.com.au/collections/protection-kits/products/ultimate-paint-protection-kit) before applying the CQ. Because now the vehicle has Nova Jet and I know how hard it is to remove it as shown in your videos :-). So do you need to purchase something else in order to remove Nova Jet other than what is in the Paint Protection KIT. Yes I'm watching the waterless wash video now
Hey Sandro, great vid as usual. Out of your experience how many cloths would it take so safely clean a car (hatchback) using this method with waterless wash? As i live in Sydney this will become my go to washing method so I will need to most likely invest in some more. Cheers!
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing will this work? Keep a bucket with a gallon of water, after wiping the dirt from the car with microfiber, rinse it with the water, wring the cloth and repeat the process? By this way only 1 cloth is enough.
Maybe someone can fill me in because I don't know why anyone that cares about their paint use a waterless wash. Regardless of lightness of soiling you are still moving contaminants (some harder than others) on the surface of the paint, thus micro swirling/scratching.
Mate some advice please. I'm getting a brand new car from a dealer. Dealer said they would do a polymer sealant for $1500 and it is permanent?!? I thought only ceramic coating was permanent/1 application. They advised against ceramic coating. I finally chose neither.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing 🤦🏽♂️ I've used this product for 5 years now and this is the first time I saw that it's supposed to be diluted. Full strength works like a champ though. Give it a shot.
This video made me totally re-evaluate Ech02 , I saw some reviews long time ago saying this wasn't a good product , only good as clay lube. Would you mix it with Sonax BSD to use as a quick detailer ? Can you make a video about BSD ?
@@dimmacommunication some like a little more protection from the QD. Have you heard of Merlins Elixir which Carpro named their RTU QD after and is much based on that mix too with the difference they have also some Hydro2 in it. The common dilution for Merlins Elixir is 2oz of EcH2O and 2oz of Carpro Reload and 20oz of destilled water. In ml you use the dilution ratio of 1/1/10 but some thinks this is a little too strong and if you feel the same way just ad in some more destilled water to the solution. You can also use a little less of Reload if you want to. For even more effective protection you could ad 2oz or 1 more part of Carpro Hydro2 lite or already diluted Hydro2 concentrate as it's quite strong. This gets you almost like the RTU Carpro Elixir QD. You can also replace the Reload with your favorite water based SiO2 sealant like Gyeon Cure or Tac System Quartz Max. This gives you a little extra boost when used as a QD after a wash.
@@dimmacommunication no I would dilute it into an empty bottle. That way you have more control of the dilutions. Some does mix it up in large jugs with destilled water. But IMO it depends on how much of the mix you are useing. It's not much you need when you use it so it lasts a long time. Also remember to shake it up good before spraying it on as it's easly separates in the bottle.
disappointed in Opti-clean. Usually, waterless wash is something you want to use when you are "on the go" , at the race track, traveling. Which means it may be out in the sun.
Wolfgang is a rinseless not a waterless. I have seen recommended QD ration but not a waterless ratio. There's a LOT of confusion out there with people thinking rinseless and waterless are the same thing. They aren't. PS they do have a new waterless but it's not Uber. It's Wolfgang SiO2 Waterless Wash. Is that what you mean?
@@Big_Old_Dog You can use Wolfgang as a rinseless. I do with no issues. There are UA-cam videos that talk ratios. It works great. I also use it in a pump sprayer.
It's funny, I've never had anything other than horrible experience with ECH2O. I got so irritated by it constantly streaking that I ended up trashing a pretty full 1000ml bottle, and just going back to what was tried and true for me. It's a shame because ECH2O is probably one of the slickest products I've ever felt. Stuff is down right slippery.
Great Video Sandro. I use Opti-clean as a presoak for a ONR rinseless wash. I know they changed the formula a while back to adress streaking and increase lubricity. Do you know if you are using the latest version or not? Is it possible you have old stock? Is there a manufacturing date on it anywhere? Here was what the description at Detailed Image says: "New version has increased level of shine while providing a greater amount of protection" www.detailedimage.com/Optimum-OPT-M36/Opti-Clean-P497/32-oz-S2/ I don't know if it matter but the label on your gallon is defenitely different from my last 2 gals here in the States 1 from Detailed Image and one through Amazon.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing I really don't use it as anything more than a pretreat in the winter and a spot cleaner as necessary. I also use a few others (Ecosmart, Trinova/303, Adams) the same way. I'll now look for an opportunity to try just it on a panel or two to see if it streaks like you saw.
I applied ech20 over cquartz UK in a small section on my bonnet and lost hydrophobic properties, weird how it didn't like being on a ceramic coated panel
Bravo, always on top. Please, I live in Algeria and I want to go into the detailing and I'm looking for sponsorship of a brand that can offer the whole range for the detailing. I would be very grateful if you can help me and thank you in advance.
I had the 3D, and liked it, but the smell was just way too intense, and not being dilutable.... It had me looking elsewhere. So I ended up with Optimum Opti-Clean and CarPro Ech2o. To be honest I like them just about equally. I do use the Opti-Clean way more than the Ech2o. There was a bit of a learning curve with it, as is the case with most Optimum products, but once you've used it a few times it's easy.

Car Craft Auto Detailing I wanted to say thank you for doing this review. I used the ech2o today and it was even better than I expected. I used a 10 to 1 ratio and it came out really great.
That’s great to hear!
Thank you and have a nice day
I think the CarPro 2 Face Towels would be my choice for waterless washing
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing was about to buy some orange boa but will give two face try first:) thanks
You could use the 2 Face for your first wet wipe and the Boa for your second dry buff.
Hi Sandro, is the ceramic coated?
I’m not sure what you’re asking mate?
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing so sorry, my bad... I meant, is the car ceramic coated?
No, that car was ceramic coated a few years prior but at that stage the coating was long gone.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing i see.. Meaning the Carpro Ech2O is a very impressive product. I meant, if a car has a fresh ceramic coating, the Ech2O will perform even easier & better i supposed?
Yes you should see an increased performance over a coated car
hi, are you interested in reviewing the MJJC foam cannon Pro?
Do you need to add a wax/sealant after using any of these products?
You don’t have to to add a wax/sealant after using them but it would be a good to have one on your car paint as these products don’t provide any durable protection.
Safe to assume that elixir would perform as well if not better than EcH2O?
Which one do you think is better carpro waterless or meguiars ultimate waterless
I want to use one to wash my sportbike, it has ultimate wax on it from your experience which one will do a better job?
The Meguiars is just crazy expensive in Australian so I only bought it one to test it, but I though it worked well. The Carpro is still my favourite overall though.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing meguiars sells the same product in a gallon where i live and is concentrated, dilution ratios between 4:1 - 20:1 they recommend 4:1 to match the consumer waterless wash and wax so overall is cheap when is diluted but after i finish with my can of ultimate wax new version I'm thinking about using a meguiars sealant like hybrid ceramic wax or m27 pro hybrid ceramic sealant so i need a waterless product with sio2 or just no wax or sio2 in it to wash my bike
The pro version of ultimate waterless wash and wax is "D115 rinse free express wash and wax" 72$ dollars per gallon
Your Chanel is great
Doesn't Carpro's Ech20 contain a small amount of si02?
Sandro - love your work. What is the easiest way to do the dilution rates with EC20?
Car Craft Auto Detailing thanks brother! Keep up the awesome work!
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing 500ml enough for a hatch or small sedan? I'm in confusion between Ech2o and ONR wash and wax.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing no, I mean 500ml of diluted solution/spray.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing I think they all use some form of "wax" (be in carnauba or polymers) as a base for lubricity.
ECO Big Winner !
Quick question. I’m on a mission to find European style spray nozzles for my bottles in the USA. I’m talking about the kind on NV Nova Jet, Nanolex and on the poor boys in this video. Any idea of the name or manufacturer?
Oh please!
Echo2 seems to have much better hydrophobicity than Echoshine.
Maybe someone can fill me in because I don't know why anyone that cares about their paint use a waterless wash. Regardless of lightness of soiling you are still moving contaminants (some harder than others) on the surface of the paint, thus micro swirling/scratching.
What spray bottle are you using?
They’re all different spray bottles I just lying around, I honestly don’t know where I got them
Mate some advice please. I'm getting a brand new car from a dealer. Dealer said they would do a polymer sealant for $1500 and it is permanent?!? I thought only ceramic coating was permanent/1 application. They advised against ceramic coating. I finally chose neither.
Thanks.
Is there a specific reason you diluted the opticlean?
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing 🤦🏽♂️ I've used this product for 5 years now and this is the first time I saw that it's supposed to be diluted. Full strength works like a champ though. Give it a shot.
hey mate anywhere i can ask u a couple of questions
This video made me totally re-evaluate Ech02 , I saw some reviews long time ago saying this wasn't a good product , only good as clay lube.
Would you mix it with Sonax BSD to use as a quick detailer ? Can you make a video about BSD ?
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing Isn't a quick detailer almost the same thing as a waterless wash ?
@@tonymattisson6158 Thank's for the explanation :)
@@tonymattisson6158 I've read that some people mix Reload directly in the Ech02 bottle.. is it correct ?
@@dimmacommunication no I would dilute it into an empty bottle. That way you have more control of the dilutions. Some does mix it up in large jugs with destilled water. But IMO it depends on how much of the mix you are useing. It's not much you need when you use it so it lasts a long time. Also remember to shake it up good before spraying it on as it's easly separates in the bottle.
disappointed in Opti-clean. Usually, waterless wash is something you want to use when you are "on the go" , at the race track, traveling. Which means it may be out in the sun.
Agreed. Considering their reputation, you’d think they would be better.
I’ve been using Wolfgang Uber. Have you ever tried it for comparison?
Wolfgang is a rinseless not a waterless. I have seen recommended QD ration but not a waterless ratio. There's a LOT of confusion out there with people thinking rinseless and waterless are the same thing. They aren't. PS they do have a new waterless but it's not Uber. It's Wolfgang SiO2 Waterless Wash. Is that what you mean?
@@Big_Old_Dog You can use Wolfgang as a rinseless. I do with no issues. There are UA-cam videos that talk ratios. It works great.
I also use it in a pump sprayer.
ECH20 is my favorite because it protects at the same time. It becomes a lot shinee than the other products out there.
Carpro i like👍👌
WHAT A VIDEO
Optic lean is the last again.
Surprised to see you used Opti Clean in this comparison instead of ONR; Perhaps a follow up with ONR, ECH2O and Eco Shine?
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing Good point, perhaps a rinse-less wash comparison then? :)
??
Optic lean is not worth the money. There only product that works well is NO RINSE and even because under the sun it strikes all the time.
Bravo, always on top. Please, I live in Algeria and I want to go into the detailing and I'm looking for sponsorship of a brand that can offer the whole range for the detailing. I would be very grateful if you can help me and thank you in advance.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing I thank you for your responsiveness and have taken your time to answer me it's very kind of you.
Tha fact that you delete all my comment prove I was right.
Still didn't understand what's the difference between rinsless wash and waterless wash 😂😂
Great video anyway Sandro 💙💙
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing Yeah but if water has minerals in it , they will leave stains of the car... can you do a video about it ?
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing Yeah but then do you have to dry it ? It's probably gonna clog the drying towels... Waiting for the video on this subject
@@dimmacommunication If you use a quality microfiber detergent and white vinegar in the softener dispenser, it will wash everything out leaving your drying towels as good as new.
