- Ok, so I’ve been meaning to do this for a while, all three free floaters side by side, I had some issues getting the big snare in place as you can see! Consider this a test, I’ll do all three at three different tensions in a video soon, I can safely say the Piccolo is my favourite though, happy drumming peeps!

Thanks Oliver! I go through phases of cycling the snares, the 6.5 is being used allot lately! You also play brass?
One of the greatest sounding snares are the free floaters. Brass is a real all-around shell in terms of the sound.
What patch do you use on the 14x8? thanks
Great snare? It's me or the small 3,5 is the most ringy?
I adore that 3.5, They can all be ringy depending on the tuning and head choice. This was a comparison of how i liked them tuned at the time, but could do with re uploading with same tuning and heads! 🙏👍
