Why Queen hired Lambert is beyond me. He does a musical theatre parody of Freddie - I wouldn't pay a dollar to see that show. I'd pay $500 to see Martel with them.
Adam is clearly technically a talented vocalist, just like Joe Satriani is a talented guitarist. But both of them make my ears bleed.

Marc is playing a crazy piano while singing. He hits notes Freddie would struggle with at times.

Additional voices? He was the singing voice, period.
@@suburbanindie only for a few scenes, people think he did ALL the singing and that's not true. Almost all of it was freddie. Marc's vocals were only used in certain scenes where Freddie's couldn't be used - e.g: when Freddie's voice is tired and hoarse before live aid or when he was writing love of my life and singing bits of it to himself.

In fact, Captain Marc Martel was behind the voice of the movie actor Bohemian Rapsody (for obvious reasons) Ram Malek towards the synchronization of the voice in the singing scenes and (sorry spoiler) And the concert in Wembley where only another great group had sold out. Guess who... you know and everyone on the couch.

I’ve Listened to Marc for years..I love his previous band “Downhere”. He is a natural Freddie and lended his voice for the movie Bohemian Rhapsody
"Downhere" was one of my favourite bands. Sad that the band no longer exists.
Marc fronted his own multiple award winning Christian band (called "downhere") for over 10 years. Then he auditioned for Roger Taylor and won the lead with "Queen Extravaganza," Queen's "official" tribute band, in late 2011. He sang with them until the end of 2016. When they were not going to tour in 2017, he started his own cover band, "Ultimate Queen Celebration." He's performed with them since, along with "Black Jacket Symphony" (they do EXACT recreations of famous albums, in live concerts), "Symphonic Queen" (in Mexico, with a full symphony orchestra), and as part of "One Vision Of Queen" (a re-named UQC). He frequently tours central and eastern Europe, either with his band or with local musicians recruited for the tour. He's done concerts around the world, appearing multiple years in such far-flung locations such as Israel and Australia.
Marc also did vocals for the "Bohemian Rhapsody" movie. The 30+ year old analog magnetic tape master recordings would not have been up to modern "Dolby Atmos" digital quality standards, so they used a technique called "vocal layering," where they blended Marc's voice with Freddie's. If they didn't have a good copy of Freddie singing something they wanted in the movie, it was purely Marc singing it. for some reason, they gave Marc almost ZERO credit in the movie and after. But, if it wasn't for Marc, that movie could never have been made. You can see the tracks in this photo from the Live Aid scene mixing board, where Freddie's track is "LV-STEM LVAID DRY FREDDIE_01" and Marc's track is "LV-STEM LVAID_01," directly beneath it.

When we were rehearsing, in Toronto, they were playing Bohemian Rhapsody and I was sitting down writing, trying to work out the set. Marc has several albums of his own music out as well. In December 2019, Marc was the special guest star for the Michael W. Smith and Amy Grant Christmas tour. He brought the house down every night. The three of them released their cover of "Silver Bells" which went to number one on the Christian Music chart. For Christmas 2020, Marc teamed with Amy Grant to release their cover of "The Christmas Waltz," a Frank Sinatra song. Marc has also released albums of his own music, traditional Christmas music, and other covers.

@@ThisRoscoe, awesome reaction! Thank YOU! I was lucky enough to see Marc and his band, One Vision of Queen, in concert, last February, in Orlando. They are ALL as talented as Marc. It was the best concert I've ever attended, and that includes "back in the day" (Elvis Presley, Beach Boys). Check out their version of "Under Pressure." The guitarist (Tristan Avakian) does a KILLER David Bowie.

Really dug your reaction, mate! Martel is a bloody unicorn in the world of music: there is nothing he can’t do. Sick! Seen him live multiple times: piloerection immediately! People are crying, singing along, screaming “Marc, we love you!” - his shows are MADNESS! Highly recommend, if he is anywhere near you. He tours extensively and sells out arenas. Also, his own music is absolutely bloody brilliant!

They have performed with Marc, and both survived. Brian and Roger seem hellbent on proving they are worth their salt w/o Freddie. Marc revives Freddie with each nite and each move. My guess is Marc would become the star of Q+ show, which undermines Brian’s ideas for his own show. I don’t think Brian this late in his career simply is not prepared to play second fiddle to Marc.

I don't remember if Marc was doing the complete Bohemian Rhapsody on stage before he posted this video (which Queen typically does not do because the opera section is so difficult to do live), but him singing Franz Schubert's Ave Maria in the style of Freddie Mercury followed by this version of Bohemian Rhapsody is the centerpiece of his cover band's set list. It's a rare treat to hear him perform this solo in a football stadium.
Marc did all the music on the movie “Bohemiam Raphsody”, and it was perfect!

Marc recorded the entire live action score. His voice was fused with Freddie’s essentially in every life action scene.

I'm a huge Marc fan! He's got other great covers and I really appreciate the art of his original work, which is highly underated, imo. Of his Queen ones, I have to say Killer Queen is my favourite, but do check out his originals! Love Paradise and Remake, especially.
I stumbled on him when I was searching for covers of Unchained Melody. I was blown away by the beauty of his voice in ten seconds.

Ich war im Oktober beim Konzert von Marc Martel (Queen one Vision). Ein super Konzert mit einem genialen und sehr sympathischen Sänger - Marc Martel. Bemerkenswert ist, dass es hier wirklich um die Musik geht und nicht um eine Show (Tänzer, Köstume, ......). Das hat Marc Martel und seine Band nicht nötig - einfach nur sensationell.
