Marc's natural voice and singing style resembled Freddie so much that people would tell him and he'd have no clue what they were talking about-- dude was a Christian rock singer from Canada, and knowing the Christian rock crowd, they might know the names Freddie Mercury or Queen, but that's about as far as it went because a lot of hardcore Christians wouldn't want anything to do with them, particularly Freddie. But Marc looked up Queen's music and became a fan, and when Roger Taylor opened auditions for the Queen Extravaganza project a decade ago, he sent in a demo video, and the rest, as they say, is history. Marc's voice was used in the _Bohemian Rhapsody_ film in scenes where Freddie would be singing and there could not possibly be a past recording of Freddie himself (the first scene where Freddie meets Brian and Roger, and when Freddie struggles to lock in his voice before Live Aid are all Marc). I feel like Marc is like a less powerful but smoother Freddie Mercury with just a touch of Michael Jackson (he whoops just like MJ on stage). I'd love to hear Marc cover MJ, though I'm not sure the estate would ever allow that.
Haha I loved your faces of misbelief at the beginning and just enjoyment later.

Haha i looked the same way when i heard it for the first time 😂
I saw this man and his band live last week in Groningen - The Netherlands. He absolutely smashed the whole concert, I will never ever get closer to Queen again in my whole life. Goosebumps non stop and a smile from ear to ear I enjoyed the full 2,5 hours of this concert. He will return to the Netherlands next year and I will visit them again for sure :)
How the hell can anyone thumbs down his rendition…. SMFH
Because some people are hard wired haters.
Adam Lambert fans probably
I love this guy - he's one of the most talented musicians out there. I love his "Everybody Hurts" and his "Don't Let the Sun go Down on me". Not only can he do Freddie, He can also do a mean George Michael. Check it out
I've watched a lot of reactions to this ... yours is the most genuine and I appreciate your love for music. Rock on brother! 🤘🤘
Thank you so much 😀
Hey man do you think you could do my guy Taylor Hawkins a tribute to his death... the drummer of foo fighters who we lost too soon .. singing your favorite queen song. Hes the reason I am the drummer I am today. This is the last performance before he left us.💔😥🤘🤘

When he auditioned for “The Queen Extravaganza”, he sang your favorite Queen song. Here’s the link so you can indulge us with that reaction. ua-cam.com/video/dREKkAk628I/v-deo.html

@@KaliFlamingo I had never seen this version! I second this!
I'd love to hear Marc cover MJ, though I'm not sure the estate would ever allow that.
plus he's playing the piano spot on!
I feel like he has some of the same expressions and mannerisums as Freddie when he performs and is also a complete wizard in the piano like Freddie
