Lovely reaction sir! What you have seen is a unicorn. Freddie/ Queen never played the song in its entirety live. There is NO recording of Freddie doing a full acoustic version of this song. I saw Queen (Day at the Races Tour) and during the "opera section" the band would leave the stage and a video/track would play through that section and then Freddie and the band would explode upon the stage for the last section. Kudos to Marc for bringing something to life that has never existed. Now we have an idea what it might have been like. Marc is a phenomenal musician. His is a musical worm-hole worthy of falling into.

I would have sworn Freddie was sitting there dressed up as Marc Martel playing the piano and singing. Freddie... not Marc. What an amazing talent this man has. At least one can say..... Freddy will never be forgotten by Marc's voice. I'm very sure of that. 😁
I love how he uses the piano to add the "voices" to round out the choral backing-and it's only him and a piano! Amazing, beautiful, and jaw dropping. (Your reaction to his music really chokes me up, too. I love that you love it. 😊)
Not gonna lie - tears were shed. Somehow your reactions always gets to me. In a good way, that is. Marc is truly phenomenal and as you said, this is perfection. So much Freddie, yet it doesn't feel like imitation, it just feels natural and flowing. And the piano skills are off the charts. The thing that strikes me from both singers is that the OOOOOOHHH in both verses can actually sound like a synth until their vibrato kicks in. That's what I remember from the 70s and Marc nails it. VERY few singers can find that pure tone.
I’ve always thought Marc’s vocal verses/style sound like Freddie’s from the 70’s. The 80’s Freddie became more macho vocal tone wise. In the 70’s it was soft & powerful (both 70’s & 80’s Fred are great btw lol)

The principal of my high school put it on the loudspeakers and the cafeteria sang the whole song during lunch ! It was my adolescence, everyone sang it and Pink Floyd... Teacher ! Leave that kid alone ! ..he played it too !
