Kevin Wise dont worry about it. Bootcamp is gonna be scary and hard for the first 2-3 weeks. It all depends on who ur RDCs are and what time u go to bootcamp. Just remember things sound more scary than they really are
the recruits in this video had it easy, new masks, low dose on the gas, and the instructors not screaming at them. when i went through in 2012 the masks were garbage (would not seal), the room was filled with the gas so it looked like a solid fog bank, and they made you recite name, rank, division clearly
Lmao I just went through and I would like to say THEY NO LONGER SEAL lmao. over half the masks were broken. Also it depends on ur instructor cause are broken 4 caps and then after the first 4 lines broke another 2. It was quite gasy in there lol
lol I'd just been released from having pneumonia and then I had to go do this. LOL oh man I thought I was gonna die but in the end it was worth and those masks really do work.
Just graduated back in July. And I was in the front row. But was on the end. So I was one of the last 2 out. Didn't affect me that much. But I was mad bcuz I couldn't see everyone else's reaction. Lol
No more reciting the Sailor's Creed in the gas chamber? Also, what was that weak ass amount of gas? I remember in Boot Camp is was so full it looked like fog in there. They get it easy now lol
>be me >Be in the U.S. Navy, MC2 Spencer Fling >Be at RTC Great Lakes >Take pics and videos of shit for public release >See confidence chamber >See "no cameras sign" >Get ordered to make video on confidence chamber >No cameras allowed.mp4 >Do it anyways to avoid shit from Chief >Make sure to include no camera sign in video >mfw
When i went, we had to say "seaman recruit (last name), divison # (340), hooyah navy"...i heard from my rdcs, people used to have to recite the sailors creed before they were allowed to get out..
every navy guy i met was saying how bad it has got and if we ever really meet any biological attack it will be bad. sorry every navy guy that has put in alot of years.
Dam the uniforms got ugly. That’s where our tax dollars are going I guess. And there should be snot coming out and some people throwing up chow. That must be a low dosage of CS . And who makes the CS the cooks??
umm that chiefs voice lmao
He is a great chief, i had a lot of fun when he would teach
thank you!
Snipes. They're unique 😁
Had this chief for a instructor during firefighting. Pure comedy!!! Loved him!!
My mask was broken. I felt the gas right when they turned it on. And i was in the back.
Damn, that is my fear when I go, I'm trying to enlist😨

I miss that so much! I was an instructor there 2008 to 2012. If you went to RTC then, I was probably there!

I loved ittttttt I’d do it again
Oh the memories
My question is how long do u have to be in there? 1min ,2 or 5
Depends on where you are in the chamber but you'll only be exposed to the gas for like 15 seconds or so
If you were in the front row, you had it easy! I was all the way in the back in the anchor row, now that sucked!
Sergiu Volda yup I was back row dead last to get out
Lol I was the 3rd person in the front row like "man that really wasnt too bad."
