I have been on a weight loss journey.. down 177lbs! 10 months low carb.. now carnivore for 11 months. I jumped on the higher fat band wagon, and it caused a stall for me, as well as horrible digestive issues! All stomach issues cured when I went carnivore. I cut the fat.. have a couple of psmf days and I'm back to losing and feeling great. No digestive drama! 20 lbs to go! Slowly, slowly.. no excess butter or fats for me. I eat what's in the meat and eggs. Thanks for sharing all that you do.
How much fat are you having on your psmf days for your weight loss. I’m so happy for you!! I’m just coming into menopause and going to start decreasing my body fat increasing muscle tweaking my low carb lifestyle.
Interesting point about the eggs, I noticed if I eat a soft boiled egg there is no change to my blood sugars, or sometimes if I'm really hungry they may go down, but if I eat an egg fried in butter they go up (not a whole lot but definitely not stabilizing like boiled).
@@leilaabouzeenni3580 Interesting.. However, Correlation may not be causation. Could be something else that triggered a that little spike.. Friends I think you are explaining the song of my people. High fat carnivore for a year with 0 weight loss (can not eat another fat cap from my ribeye). I actually had heartburn, all my symptoms never went away. IR, PCOS, hypothyroidism, menopause, yep I have all the things. I definitely am going to go down your rabbit hole. I saw you on REVERSE and think you may become my new obsession to help me figure my health out. Thank you for voicing your truth, and helping me. While my hubs was successful on thar WOE and dropped over 50 lbs, it was pretty disheartening that I could t get the scale to budge.
I relate to you in every way! Been carnivore for about 85 days and still have many issues and little energy. My husband is feeling great! It is disappointing but I'm not giving up!
Wow, what an informative video!! I've been a fat-centric carnivore for three years. I was the one who said, I'm not doing this for weightloss, but for healing. I have an autoimmune, Lupus that I'm trying to heal but it's just not happening. Thanks to ya'lls information I have been priorizing protien in the last week or so. I plan on PSMF days as well, going forward! Thanks so much for sharing with people. I love when the husband and wife team up. For health and wellness, bringing both male and female perspectives and health details. Thanks again and have a blessed day 🎉
Yes. I have tried higher fat and it tastes great but no weight loss for me. I could eat ribeye everyday. Higher leaner protein def works best for me. I work out regularly and have more energy with higher protein, lower fat too. Thank you so much for the PSMF way of eating!
I’m going to share this with my daughter. She was just diagnosed with PCOS and I’m asking her to try lowering her carbs to see if things might change. She’s 110lb very little body fat and weight lifts. She just tells me she doesn’t want to lose weight she’s trying to gain. I think this may explain it. There are so many people who see keto as a weight loss mechanism and won’t consider it may help their metabolic health. Thank you for this video!
I ordered your book Protein Sparing Modified Fast and just received it yesterday. I read already and enjoyed looking at all of the recipes. I read what you are talking about here, and understood it. This video just explained it again to me. I fully understand and agree! Thank you for this information.
Oh I so appreciate this! I’m 78, almost 79 on the 18th. I’m petite, as in short, and 40# over. I’ve been carnivore for 2 years. No weight loss. They - the carnivore influencers - say stick with it, you’re healing. Well, yes. My bone on bone knees aren’t hurting. Arthritis diminished. Eczema gone. But dang, that weight just doesn’t want to go away! I do need to walk and exercise more. Admittedly. And working on that. But I’ve done my macros and realize I need to eat less fat and knock off the dairy. I loooove my coffee and was bulletproofing it but will stop that and see how that goes. Also think I’ll PSMF a couple or 3 days a week. Studying up on that. Thank you Maria & Craig.
Worked for me!! (High fat, low carb, mod protein) BUT I DEFINITELY almost muscle mass!! I can’t believe I used to believe in the dogma of gluconeogenesis where it turned to sugar if I ate more than 80gm of protein. I did Inc my protein to at LEAST 100gm of protein a day almost a year ago. I feel much better, I’m much less tired, and I’m building muscle mass now!!
The fat cell phenomenon you explain is why you see people that had liposuction, and had their fat cells suctioned out, if they gain any significant weight later, they gain it in all the places they didn't have lipo and it gives them a really weird shape. I've personally known people this happened to.
I was a 7 pound baby and my aunt mixed my formula wrong and I doubled my birth weight when I was 3 weeks old. As an infant I made a LOT of new fat cells, which I carried through my life. I lost weight as a child but at puberty I gained a good deal of weight. I am overweight now but all my lab values are within normal range. I have been eating too much fat I see. I am about to do keto and PSMF your way. I pray I succeed.
How are you doing? Get on that horse if you fell off! The mire you stay away from sugar the easier it becomes. I'm a recovering binge eating sugar addict myself.
I am 5' 6.5" and have always kept my weight around 125 or under but recently I have gained weight to 132 all in my middle. I am a dietitian and was taught completely different where you eat 60% of carbs, I used to teach diabetics how to eat. In the past two years I do not look much different but have and A1C of 5.7, fasting BG above 120, high blood pressure....and exhausted. I was shocked when i was diagnosed with all of theses things because i am celiac and do not crave sweets and eat fairly lower carb. I found your carnivore book through my naturopath and just got the PSMF book and started reading yesterday and it totally makes sense what you are saying. I believe I do not have as many fat cells so it is now making sence what I am going through. Because of my nutrition background of 23 years and still registered I would love to take your course to be Keto certified! Looking forward to seeing a change in my body soon:)
I am also a dietitian by education and worked as a clinical dietitian and as a health educator. I began to research low-carb lifestyles a year ago and completely reversed my thinking from what I was taught. I always controlled my weight with a low-calorie diet, lifting weights and playing tennis but it was getting harder with age. I learned previously that we developed fat cells when we were younger but really never considered that as a factor for me now. After this video, I now realize it is a factor! I have been about 100-115 my entire life except during a twin pregnancy. Recently I have been experiencing weight fluctuations but was trying to up my protein and fat intake after reading many of your articles and others at the recent summit. I always struggled with getting enough protein. I did not understand how my weight was changing because my carb intake was relatively the same but now believe it was my increased fat and my smaller number of fat cells. I have your PSMF book and plan to use these practices/recipes to stabilize my weight. Thank you!
@@chloeshiodom wow! I am just like you, used to be 115, I have an extra small skeleton by my wrist measurements. I was also a personal trainer for 3 years trying to give advice from what I was taught from the AND but now also realize I could have helped people better. This is an interesting perspective and pretty sure we can never get the AND to be on board🤣
I'm an RN and totally get it. I did keto very clearly and it improved pain from my connective tissue disorder (hEDS) and so many symptoms; reversed yhe pre-diabetes no I e told me about. Such a shame when conventional advice gets most people nowhere. Gl on your keto journey!! It changed my life!
Happy Valentimes to the both of you! Thank you so much. I will definitely focus more on protein and watch more my fat. Thank you for the information I appreciate all your help.😊
Dr. Peter D'Adamo has a fascinating 2019 article called "Blood types, fat and the intestines" - all about an enzyme called INTESTINAL ALKALINE PHOSPHATASE. It would be interesting if you could research this subject and make a video about it. Extremely important information.
Very interesting! I have been keto for 2 years. After a small stroke. My carotid arteries are clearing out. However, I think you're talking about me. Always was a skinny girl. Just got up to 130lbs in the last 5 years or so. I'm 67. I lost 20lbs and feel great. Always about 100-110 for most of my life. Just started to gain a bit of the weight back. But I've discovered butter bites. Oy! Maybe that's it!!
Thank you for discussing over consuming fat - so many are following the concept of adding fat to everything. Judy Chow is just great and I don’t believe she’s a doctor.
I am a canivore. I've been following you guys a lot lately. Honestly, I was told to limit protein intake and no upper limit for fat from a coach before I came across you two. And I gained 7 kgs. And my tummy sticks out. I've never found my tummy like this for almost 20 years. And I start to suspect I am getting a bit more insulin resistent. Thank you Maria and Craig for pointing it out. And I also bought your ebook. I tried PSMF for two days. I have to say I didn't eat enough for the first day. And the second day I was so full. It's much easier than water fasting. Today I am following the calorie intake for keto weight loss. Will keep you posted. One question. Is it enough to do a calorie refeeding once in three weeks? Thanks
Awesome! It depends if you are doing PSMF days or not and how many. If doing 1 PSMF day every couple weeks, not a big concern. If doing PSMF days weekly, then it’s a god idea to do an over feeding day each week.
@@craigemmerich Thanks Craig for your kindness. I think I am watching the interview to Marty. It reminded me that many people including me fell into the myth of eating more fat to lose fat. And ended up growing like a balloon. :) Look forward to more of your videos.
I have a hard time finding foods I enjoy on PSMF. The bread I made last 2 times were somewhat of a flop. Frustrating. I enjoy just eating the lean meats but it’s hard to keep them tasty and juicy without the fat!
I’d love a video on lipedema and how Emmerich keto could help. So many women have it without realizing it. I saw that someone in the lipedema community said not to fear animal fat since fat doesn’t make you fat. I’m wondering what your experience with lipedema clients and fat intake has been.
@@craigemmerich thank you! I haven’t been to a doctor about it, but I think I may have it in my legs. Menopause made it so much worse. I have no pain, but my leg size increased quite a bit.
I do have lipedema and I have noticed that the ketogenic diet does help with the pain in my legs. It does very little for fat loss in my legs. I have lost weight and have been most successful with keto. I am just wondering if there are other people that are experiencing the same. Since the adipose fat in lipedema women is resistant what do you feel is the best way to go as far as being healthier?
I was slow to admit the copious amounts of “healthy fats” I added to my plate and pan over the years -grass-fed butter, coconut oil, bacon, etc- were actually causing me more harm than good. I ended up carrying 225# on my 5’3.5” frame. While I was able to drop about 75% of that following Dr. Westman’s “Page 4,” it wasn’t until I got serious about my macros and incorporated Maria’s Pure Protein Days, ie PSMF, that I’ve been able to drop the last 30+ pounds and begin reversing my metabolic issues. That said, despite over 100# of weight loss, I’m acutely aware that I must monitor my fat intake as well as carbohydrates for the rest of my life. It takes discipline to retrain one’s brain to enjoy lower fat foods, but I now prefer them and favor sustainably raised protein without added fat. Please learn from my errant ways: Maria and Craig know their biology, and their approach to restoring and sustaining health is the wisest you’ll find.
Ohhh this explains me. I was the skinny kid, skinny teenager and skinny until my mid twenties. Used exercise to keep the fat off but I can see I was still insulin resistant. Now insulin resistance has caused a lot of damage with inflammation. Hopefully it's not to late for me.
Thanks for this video especially the part about high triglyceride’s . How do I find the video of where the fat goes? Thanks in advance, and thanks for all the great information you provide. Love you guys ❤
This is so interesting! Had Gastric sleeve 6 years ago, lost 60, gained it all back. Have been doing Westman low carb last two years, first year lost 70, second year almost nothing , now slowly gaining back. Tried adding more fat and it made me sick . I do eat butter, bacon, and a little cheese . Feeling like this might be the key 🤔
I am day 295 of my adopted carnivore lifestyle. I absolutely cannot do keto or ketovore because the veg makes me incredibly I'll. I have been eating lots of butter and fats and no problems . I'm down 80 pounds. I was extremely lean as a kid and never had extra weight until my first pregnancy. By the time I was in my 60's the weight started pulling on being a vegetarian! I recently discovered my fat consumption threshold because I pay attention. I stopped eating extra butter and the weight is falling off again. So pay attention and make adjustments. This is not a static eating style. Thanks for the info. My ketones are consistently high and I no longer have metabolic syndrome and the insulin resistance is still improving.
Great video on explaining this, but what's the solution then? If someone has been eating keto and not getting results anymore, what's the solution to help clear out those full fat cells? Fasting?
I've been on a high fat carnivore diet for over 7-8 years. I was a type 2 diabetic but I have developed into a type 1 diabetic. Even on carnivore. I did stop high fat a year ago after watching you vid on fat threshold and diabetes. My blood sugars we slashed in half daily and I went from a 3 month diabetic bloods 98 mmol/l down to a 64 mmol/l. Unfortunately I got taken in again before Christmas and I tried high fat again for 3 weeks and and I had to stop I put on 10 kg on in fat. My blood sugars were high. I was feeling so I'll. Lucky for me I've gone back to lower fat and lost the 10 kg and a few more kg on top. Blood sugars are down again . The only problem I have is my folate acid is low very low and I don't want to eat veg or take a supplement so I'm looking into what I can do. I am low b12 due to genetics. My chronic fatigue has reared it's ugly head again. I am having surgery mid April and I need to lose as much as I can for a good recovery. Can I do psmf all the time for the next few months till my surgery?
Absolutely do NOT do PSMF all the time. It is not recommended more than 3 days a week for accelerated weight loss. I recommend a personal health assessment: keto-adapted.com/product/assessment-form/
I would love to see the 'Where does fat go' video, especially the excess dietary fat. I'm one of those 'lucky' people that can be fat and metabolically healthy which means I have a high fat threshold. This is obviously great for survival on a deserted island but not so great when you have food at your fingertips. I've managed to eat intuitively a 1:1 fat to protein ratio. This kept me in maintenance. I tried the high fat to increase my ketones, hoping to get more energy. My ketones did increase but so did my weight. Energy level stayed the same. I'd love to know why some get an abundance of energy on keto and others do not, even if metabolically healthy?
@@MariaEmmerich thank you Maria. I thought there was more to it when Craig said you can do a whole video on it. You confirmed that's it's biology. Fat, protein and carbohydrates can all make you fat when you consume them in excess of your body's requirements.
But how do you find out what your personal fat threshold is? I will say I upped my butter to they the 1stick a day and quickly gained several pounds. Some I needed to gain, because my arms aren’t wrinkled anymore (I’m 68), but I knew I would keep gaining. So I quit the stick of butter per day. And started eating maybe a third of a stick. My weight quit going up and now lost a couple of pounds but was able to keep what I wanted. I appreciate the carnivore diet because I feel it makes it easy to control what I want my weight to be.
I have weighed 100 pounds naked since adolescence and the only way for me to gain weight is to do push-ups or burpies. I was fine until h-pylori forced a gastermectomy. Post surgery has provided me with autoimmune syndrome including sepsis. I work outdoors and after watching the video I have a carnivore lifestyle and this informed me to GAIN WEIGHT. My way muscle resistance exercise in sets of 10. This is priceless information for verification! Thanks and God bless.
What you are describing is the precise opposite of my experience. I have gorged myself with fat - have eaten butter sticks by the hundreds - and continue to do so on my Ketogenic life-style which dates back to 2018. Additionally, I consume fewer than 20g of Carbohydrates per day. My most recent blood work returned a liver function ALT of 17 U/L, with my Triglycerides at (the UK units of) 0.45mmol/L.
I wish my dad would listen to this and take it to heart. When I was little I remember he had these huge muscles and we used to be so proud of our dad on the beach, his brothers were flabby and he had the body of Tony Danza. He was forced into early retirement because the factory went bankrupt and he didn't have a highschool education so no one else would hire him. His work buddies got their GED but he refused. And basically went from pounding metal making brake pads and lugging around metal for 8 hours a day to sitting on the couch all day. He began losing his muscle mass, and suddenly became diabetic. Now he is scary skinny. I keep telling him he needs to eat protein to rebuild his muscle tissue so he can store more glucose. But he's been brainwashed by now, he can't eat too much meat anymore because it's "bad" for you and has too much fat, and fat is gross. But he needs it. He insists on continuing as his doctor told him and increasing his medication.
When I did regular carnivore, I gained weight. When I tried “high fat carnivore” I missed the connection of lowering protein, so I gained weight. When I tried psmf or just higher protein days, I didn’t lose weight and it triggered old disordered eating. When I tried super high fat/low protein, I finally lost almost all the weight I wanted to lose. I was “this close” to my goal weight. Then all my hair started falling out by the handful. I don’t know if it was more to do with some serious illnesses I had during that time frame than lowering protein, but I had to go into survival mode and get my hair to stop falling out. (Not just casual hair loss either, over 50% gone within a few months). So now I’ve gained all the weight back.
Super low protein will result in hair loss, and lean mass loss (muscle loss, which will move scale down but it NOT what you want). Stick with hitting your protein goal and adjusting fat based on goals and give it time. :)
I'm so confused. I'm a type 1 diabetic. I eat high fat. I actually have to always take insulin when I eat meat protein... my goal(even though corporate medicine says it's not possible) it's too get off of insulin. ???
Interesting. So I'm very heavy, about 230 pounds. 2 different scans show I don't have internal fat (around my organs) and my belly has no fat (at the gym machine showed ''green'') and trainer gave me no abs exercises, he said I have good amount of muscle (never exercised, but do 12h hospital shifts). My fat cells seem to be concentrated on my limbs, I don't have diabetes or insulin resistance. Keto never worked for me. I must go low fat, low carb and really go down on caloric intake or fast for 72 h to lose weight.
I would get tested for lipedema. I never recommend extended fasts over 24 hours because you risk losing lean mass. PSMF 1-3 days a week is a much better tool for accelerating weight loss without losing muscle. Dairy free keto is very helpful for lipedema.
What about bile and its function? Can't we only digest as much fat as we have bile to digest? Isn't the rest of it just running through us (which would explain why too much rendered fat usually gives people the runs)?
In general, yes. If you way overdo the dietary fat, or consume too much of fats like MCT oil, more will end up in the stool and cause bad diarrhea. But that doesn't really effect personal fat threshold per se.
I need gsin muscle! I believe I lost some fasting and previous weight loss before finding keto carnivore channels and fasting/detox/cleansing! I am understanding we need to up protein not fat and of course dump carbs. Not HFLC!
How does this affect someone who has had liposuction surgery? Basically you’re removing fat cells so your body now has fewer places to store fat, right? And the cells you have left are potentially going to be over stuffed?
@@MariaEmmerich I thought so. I had surgery in 2000 to eliminate stubborn fat pockets and I was not overweight. I never dieted. Never worried about my weight. Now 20 years later I am 50 lbs. overweight and insulin resistant. High triglycerides which I never had. Yes, I’m 20 years older but I am sure having liposuction didn’t help. Ugh. 😢
I’m 5’2 110. Feel comfortable at 105. Keto for a bit but now carnivore not sure I want to stay here. I’ve gained I think from the butter I’m so confused
So we can do a modified Keto or Carnivore without upping Choleterol! Yay! I knew too much fat even good fats was not a good thing. Reason. I been hesitating how to do the Keto thing! But I need to lower weight, BMI , fix elevated Thryoid, elevated cholesterol, hypthalamusvstress, inflammion, congested lymphatics, sinues, estrogen dominance, etc.
my doctor just told me my triglycerides can be 500 , Im 160 and my cholesterol is 260 which she says is too high and wanted to give me a statin which i refuse. my A1C is 5..1 fasting glucose 86. She also told me red meat can cause diverticulitis.
If I have significant body fat to lose, is it fine to keep my dietary fat intake around 30g most days as long as my protein consumption is adequate? I tried the higher fat but felt hungrier and more tired and ended up gaining weight and inches. I feel so much better eating enough protein. I do enjoy fat on meat. I just don’t feel it necessary to add extra fat.
Hi Maria, I would like to make your egg bread, but we can't buy egg protein powder at this time. I've been waiting months, and nothing. We have no problem with getting real egg whites, and the protein powders like pea protein. I was wondering if it's stil doable, and if it's keto. I can tolerate very occasional whey. We can't buy allulose, but could find psylium.
Using your macro calculator today, I learned I am 51% fat. My daily protein is to be 97 grams. My daily fat is to be 93grams. Carbs at 20 grams I've been Carnivore for 11 weeks today. A couple of those days may have been slightly over 20 grams of carbs. I finally weighed myself today. I did not have a starting weight. I was shocked to see how much I actually weigh. Very discouraging. 178lbs. 68 years. 4'10".
Did you read the notes at the top of the calculator before entering your info? For your height I would stick to 80-90g of protein per day. For weight loss, your fat grams should be about 20g less than your protein goal.
FYI: Low fasting triglycerides are a symptom of autoimmune disorders. I’m not suggesting the woman you mention has this issue, but it’s good to remember there are different causes/reasons for varying lipid levels, not all of which are a sign of robust health.
What do I need to do to get help I have barretts esophagus, colitis and my joints hurt because I had osteomyelitis/discitis which I just got off of a PICC line for. I was on antibiotics for 45 days 24/7 and am now getting occupational and physical therapy but I just don't feel good AT ALL. I am 57 and feel like I'm 87. Before I got sick I had quit eating most sugars and had lost 40 pounds in 2 months but when I was sick I couldn't get up to get my own food. I've kept the weight off still but am very sick and weak

I am an international best selling author of our book Keto and about a dozen other books and have spent the last 15 years studying nutrition and biology.
so basically you can overeat fat on carnivore for example and you just have to find your personal fat threshold is what you are saying. What about protein is too much protein bad aswell? I eat around 300g of protein and am 6ft8 + im a bodybuilder who trains to absolute failure. I saw my triglycerides go up during my carnivore bulk you think this is likely to me overeating on protein or is it the amounts of fat i ate? was eating 300-350g of fat daily
I'm not saying not to eat ANY fat. We need dietary fat. What I am saying is we have a personal fat threshold. Also, adding excessive dietary fat is not conducive with weight loss :)
Regular Carnivore didn't work for me, I gained 25 lbs. I'm not sure what direction to go. I know vegetables make me sicker. I have several autoimmune disorders, and I don't feel good at all, nothing has ever worked. I'm 5'3 220 lbs, 55 years old

Well, fat is an essential nutrient so you cannot survive (or certainly not thrive) on zero fat. Your hormones get completely unbalanced, you suffer from malnourishment due to the inability to absorb fat soluble vitamins and minerals. Your body will become inflamed, you will likely develop fatty liver due to all the fructose and your overall health will suffer significantly, which is probably why you didn't lose weight 🙏
Lipedema doesn't mean they are making new fat cells. The fat cells are more accumulated in certain areas (under skin) and filling with fat. It is just the fat cells filling with fat, not new ones being created.
you sound convincing, they sound convincing........they say they have the science and biology backing them, up......how is anyone supposed to really know who to believe.😒

While my hubs was successful on thar WOE and dropped over 50 lbs, it was pretty disheartening that I could t get the scale to budge.
Thanks for watching!
I relate to you in every way! Been carnivore for about 85 days and still have many issues and little energy. My husband is feeling great! It is disappointing but I'm not giving up!
@juliecoxen8379 how much sodium and potassium do you supplement? I need 6g of each to feel ok.
How are you doing?
This is so logical. Why is everyone saying to eat more fat to lose fat? It's ridiculous. Thank you for the clarity.
Thanks!
Thanks again and have a blessed day 🎉
I’m so happy this helps 🙏❤️
You two are just THE BEST!! You give so much. Deepest Gratitude for you!
We are so grateful for your kindness and support ❤️
Yes. I have tried higher fat and it tastes great but no weight loss for me. I could eat ribeye everyday. Higher leaner protein def works best for me. I work out regularly and have more energy with higher protein, lower fat too. Thank you so much for the PSMF way of eating!
What does PSMF mean?
Awesome! So glad you found it helpful :)
THANK YOU! A Much Needed Discussion when high fat is being pushed. It is not for everyone. You are both appreciated!
You are welcome! Thanks for watching!
You would make an amazing coach!! :)
So Good to see you all..😊
I love these videos !
Thank you so much you two. I took notes the entire video. Great stuff. So appreciated. Mahalo ❤
Look forward to more of your videos.
I have a hard time finding foods I enjoy on PSMF. The bread I made last 2 times were somewhat of a flop. Frustrating. I enjoy just eating the lean meats but it’s hard to keep them tasty and juicy without the fat!
Try a sous vide, air fryer, or smoker. Yum!
What is PSMF?
You both are such treasures. Thank you!
Love you both. So important!
I'm just learning about this! More please!
I’d love a video on lipedema and how Emmerich keto could help. So many women have it without realizing it. I saw that someone in the lipedema community said not to fear animal fat since fat doesn’t make you fat. I’m wondering what your experience with lipedema clients and fat intake has been.
Yes, this lifestyle can be very helpful. Especially when you prioritize protein and go dairy free. :)
Amazing testimony! I am so proud of you ❤️
Ohhh this explains me. I was the skinny kid, skinny teenager and skinny until my mid twenties. Used exercise to keep the fat off but I can see I was still insulin resistant. Now insulin resistance has caused a lot of damage with inflammation. Hopefully it's not to late for me.
Good information! Thank you
Would love you to do the video “where fat goes when you eat it”. Love this video as well. 👏👏👏
It goes one of two places: it is burned for fuel or it is stored for later use.
It’s coming next week!
@@craigemmerich Thank you. Looking forward to it.
I really like your hair like that Maria.

Way to go! Thanks for watching ❤️
Great video on explaining this, but what's the solution then? If someone has been eating keto and not getting results anymore, what's the solution to help clear out those full fat cells? Fasting?
Cut out the carbs and lower dietary fat while getting enough protein. This video explains it more. :)

I heard that chicken liver is high in folate.
Thanks for sharing!
This makes so much sense! Thank you
I would love to see the 'Where does fat go' video, especially the excess dietary fat.
It goes one of two places: it is burned for fuel or it is stored for later use.
@@MariaEmmerich thank you Maria. I thought there was more to it when Craig said you can do a whole video on it. You confirmed that's it's biology.
Fat, protein and carbohydrates can all make you fat when you consume them in excess of your body's requirements.
That video is coming next week!
It's individualistic and can take some trial and error but it sounds like you're on the right track :)
I’m so glad this helps 🙏🥰
What you are describing is the precise opposite of my experience. I have gorged myself with fat - have eaten butter sticks by the hundreds - and continue to do so on my Ketogenic life-style which dates back to 2018. Additionally, I consume fewer than 20g of Carbohydrates per day. My most recent blood work returned a liver function ALT of 17 U/L, with my Triglycerides at (the UK units of) 0.45mmol/L.
So it sounds like your personal fat threshold is higher than most 😊
I wish my dad would listen to this and take it to heart.
So sorry to hear this 🙏
Sharing Educates 👏💕💕💕💕
Please watch the video in the description about How to Shrink your Fat Cells and Reverse Insulin Resistance.
Such important information.
Thanks for watching!
I was 220 7yrs ago got down to 158 then creeped back up i have to fast longer too and incorporate exercise to lose any weight.
ever get checked for lipedema?
Wow, that's fascinating!!!
Yes, you are lowering your personal fat threshold, which is not a good idea. :)
Ugh. 😢
Sorry to hear that. This video can help. :)

I’m 5’2 110. Feel comfortable at 105. Keto for a bit but now carnivore not sure I want to stay here. I’ve gained I think from the butter I’m so confused
Adding sticks of butter when weight loss is a goal is counter productive :) ua-cam.com/video/HSxiZhe6gMQ/v-deo.html
Time for a new doctor 🤪
If I have significant body fat to lose, is it fine to keep my dietary fat intake around 30g most days as long as my protein consumption is adequate? I tried the higher fat but felt hungrier and more tired and ended up gaining weight and inches. I feel so much better eating enough protein. I do enjoy fat on meat. I just don’t feel it necessary to add extra fat.
No it’s not if keeping carbs low (keto/carnivore). Please watch this video.

Other protein powders do not work with this recipe. Have you tried Amazon, iHerb, etc? Any pure egg white protein powder works.
@@MariaEmmerich I've just ordered totally overpriced egg protein powder, I was impatient to try the recipe. Can I put erythritol instead of allulose?
Using your macro calculator today, I learned I am 51% fat.
My daily protein is to be 97 grams.
My daily fat is to be 93grams.
Carbs at 20 grams
I've been Carnivore for 11 weeks today.

She is also deep into maintenance and not metabolically damaged.
FYI: Low fasting triglycerides are a symptom of autoimmune disorders. I’m not suggesting the woman you mention has this issue, but it’s good to remember there are different causes/reasons for varying lipid levels, not all of which are a sign of robust health.

I eat around 300g of protein and am 6ft8 + im a bodybuilder who trains to absolute failure. I saw my triglycerides go up during my carnivore bulk you think this is likely to me overeating on protein or is it the amounts of fat i ate? was eating 300-350g of fat daily

Once you reach adulthood the NUMBER of fat cells stays largely the same. They will enlarge and shrink though.

When I started carnivore, the talk was about high fat. Anyway, I feel I just gave enough points to maybe give you an idea where I’m at. I’m hoping you will be interested in helping ❤️
I am here for you! I highly suggest either my Carnivore Package or VIP Keto/PSMF/Carnivore Package. They each come with lifetime access to the course materials and support from me and Craig. Or I do phone consults. Read the details here: keto-adapted.com/product-category/packages/
@@MariaEmmerich thanks so much for the reply! I will check out the link and go from there.
Hyperogphy and hyperplasia are the 2 ways ppl gain fat you are explaining Dr Benjamin bikman speaks about this 😊
I wonder how butter girl getting away with all that butter she eats 😅

People need to remember alot of meat in this country is grain fed and pumped with antibiotics and posions! Get your meat from a local farmer/butcher! Grass fed only!
You’re not necessarily wrong, but meat is better than no meat. Buy the best you can afford ❤️
I was 0 fat vegan diet for one year and I did not loose a pound 😢
Well, fat is an essential nutrient so you cannot survive (or certainly not thrive) on zero fat. Your hormones get completely unbalanced, you suffer from malnourishment due to the inability to absorb fat soluble vitamins and minerals. Your body will become inflamed, you will likely develop fatty liver due to all the fructose and your overall health will suffer significantly, which is probably why you didn't lose weight 🙏
Women with lipedema make new fat cells throughout life, and lipedema is not rare. Millions of women have lipedema, including myself.
Our 20 plus years of doing this and hundreds of thousands of client results speak for themselves. :)

It's simple, the fat you eat is the fat you wear
