6yrs into my journey at 55 keto helped me tremendously going into menopause. I'm maintaining over 50lb weight loss with lchf way of eating even through menopause. Keto for life.

I wish I'd known about keto when I was a teenager. It possibly would have helped with my painful periods. Then I wish I knew when I entered menopause, it probably would have helped lose menopause weight.
There was no internet in the 70s and I don't think UA-cam was a thing like it is now when I hit menopause. Doctors never mentioned ketogenic diet
Borage oil and black currant oil are great as well. And natural progesterone cream saved my sleep in perimenopause!
Mind if I ask which brand of natural cream you used?

hi I gave up nuts. im on year 3 of this way of life. I have never counted macros. I just ordered a new Keto Mojo so I can see what dairy does to me. and other things too. I lost 75 lbs. but been stuck at 200 for 2 years(durring pandemic) . I have tried some of your recipies. love your videos. I go back and forth with good sleep and bad. have never had problems after menapause. im 62 and not on meds for any medical problem. not diabetic,no heart problems, etc....

@@MariaEmmerich Im easing in to it. My goal is not weight loss, but to actually feel better in my body. Ive cut out so much, it can be overwhelming at times. I start culinary school on the 20th, Im both nervous (because of my food issues) and excited (to be able to create foods I can eat).

Hi Maria, I just started to watch your videos. I'm 51 struggling with menopause symptoms, I work nights I need coffee only 1 cup is enough to keep me awake and not nervous at all
If I can't drink coffee what can I use to substitute it and not feel sleepy. Also I've been on low carb for 3 years my body does not tolerate fat, too much salt and red meats and thought keto is not for me. To help with my menopause symptoms I'm taking black kohock and progesterone cream but I'm still having symptoms sometimes.
I'm taking potassium, magnesium and vitamins I am not under any medication since I don't eat gluten or high carbs food. I'd like to loose some inches I started to make your egg whites bread already and love it!! What is your recommendation?

Wow! Thank you for sharing this information. I am turning 46 this year and I have noticed changes in my body composition, menstrual cycles and although my temperature isn't elevated I feel warmer than I ever did. I don't suffer with flashes. I had never really considered how much these biological changes could be affecting my keto lifestyle.

I have IBS-D and Hashimoto's. I actually do not eat much nor a lot of junk food. About the time I was going through menopause while being gluten free, dairy free, and sugar free and working out four to five days a week I gained over 77 lbs. On top of the 50 I had gained when I was first diagnosed with thyroid disorder and not been able to get it off. So, I thought forget the diet and stop feeling miserable. Finally after 15 years the thyroid is balanced, but the weight is a major issue. I will drop maybe 30 lbs over night then gain that 30 lbs back in a few days also over night, no diet change, no exercise change nothing it is random. Doctor has ran all kinds of test and put me on a fluid pill nope same as always. I'm wondering if it can be my menopause, then what to do about it. I have taken the supplements didn't help at all. Was on HRT at one point and gave me a four day migraine and lost my job because side effects were so bad.
Sounds like something more serious is going on if you're gaining 30lbs overnight. I suggest following up with a different doctor to discover root causes and doing my personal health assessment: keto-adapted.com/product/assessment-form/

Hi. I am 65 and into Keto since New Year’s Day. I have several medical issues ( epilepsy diabetes ibs fatty liver ) along with a compressed fracture of my spine and broken shoulder, that I now started Keto lifestyle along with being overweight by over 50 lbs. If weight loss is a goal, protein should always be your priority. Fat is the lever you can dial up for weight gain or maintenance, or dial down for fat loss :)
Since watching this, I've started taking the evening primrose oil 3x a day and my hot flashes and night sweats are almost gone. Thank you! Would you share the type of chasteberry supplement you recommend and dosage please?

I am completely at a loss. I think I need help...I’ve been keto since 2019. Lost 33 lbs then Covid; gained 15 back. I track macros including total carbs, I don’t do treats, I follow your macros from your calculator, and I can’t drop the weight. I feel like quitting after almost 2 years trying to take off 50 lbs. I just don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I'm 47 (maybe 48, I don't remember) without any health issues other than my weight.

@@michellestutzman4471 Water (aim for 96 oz/day) and coffee (2 c/day). I don't drink alcohol or sodas or anything like that.

Been keto since the end of 2017. Tried fasting up to 7 days once a year to prevent my breast cancer returning. Now carnivore no dairy and no coffee or tea. 69 years old and still have central obesity. Help!!??!! I also have osteoporosis and currently have stress fractures in foot and ankle after walking on the beach!!

How many hours is good. I usually sleep great and I don’t wake up in the night. I get 6-7 hrs and feel rested in the morning.
Generally 8 hours is recommended. But if you feel rested and aren’t having issues with weight loss, etc then that’s great!

Valerian is high in carbs, there are better options. :)
I apologize if you covered this already but am interested in the omega 6 in primrose, shouldn’t it be offset by omega 3 ?
Yes, but it is a very small amount, and if eating a proper keto diet you already are eliminating a ton of Omega-6 so are in better balance already. :)

t is a good option. But I would focus mostly on strength training. :)

I used ur macro calculator and it says for a 44 female 5’5” with 22.1% fat to eat cal 1174/fat 89/protein 84/carb total. 10!! What am I suppose to eat for the day with only 10 total carbs. ???? Does this sounds right???
Your macros sound off, at 5' 5" you should be around 105 grams of protein. You can go up to 20 grams of cabs a day. !0 is for faster weight loss. 😊
@@Aurora3242 I would say you aren’t eating enough. 90 grams of protein is a lot of meat. You might want to make a food log so you can count up all your grams of protein. Because meat and eggs are very filling.I had a half pack of ground beef today which was equivalent to 2 servings. Two servings was 46 grams of protein and 28 grams of fat. Calorie wise 46 grams of protein equals 184 calories of protein. I did throw on a slice of cheddar cheese which gave me 5 more grams of protein. I was full. 51 grams of protein is still a far cry from the 129 PSmF grams that the calculator suggested.
Hat is wrong with Bio identical hormones just getting ready to start them do you have reading material on this subject?

I have not come across this area: meat based diet and heavy and painfull period. keto diet and the same issue. Plant based diet light period but massive loss of weight. Anyone knows anything? Any correlation?

What about me, I had a total hysterectomy in 2009, been on HRT every since, will this Primrose work for me and what else, I hear alot about women in menopause, but they still have everything. My ovaries and uterus are gone, Help, After a few day's of trying to wean off, my eve's turn dry, I pee all over, can't stop the pee...I always go back, I take 1 mg of Estridiol.

Macadamia nuts are very low in carbs and high in fat. Delicious and satisfying!!! A lot better for you than Hershey's kisses!
I agree better for you than hershey kisses but they are also high in fat. If you are trying to lose body fat you want to burn it. If you are ingesting too much fat then your body burns that instead of body fat. And they are a nut which are not recommend during weight loss. :)
