“Patriots, The Homeland Is With You” (Also “Nationalists*, The Homeland Is With You) (دايما أل وطنا بيكم) is a Ba’athist Iraqi patriotic song. It was sung by Daywood Al Qaisi and written during the Iran-Iraq War.
*In Arabic, the word “Daymeen” also means “Nationalist”, but in this context, “Nationalist” means “Patriot” since the Arabic word for patriot “Wataniyoon” literally means “A person of/believing in their homeland” and Nationalist literally means “A believer of their nation”. Nationalist, in the Arabic context, is the same as patriot, and does not have the same meaning as in the political West.
