Metabolic illness caused by an overconsumption of overly processed carbohydrates massively influences the energy balance equation. Insulin resistance can cause you to feel not just hungry, but ravenous soon after a large meal. And it can make you feel drained and lethargic all the time, decreasing your TDEE. Depending on the severity of the disease, the way to treat this will involve cutting most sources of carbohydrates for a while (save for non-starchy vegetables like broccoli, courgettes and kale) alongside a resistance training routine and an effort to increase their step count. Not all obese people have insulin resistance and certainly not all overweight people. However many more people have it than we realise, and we aren’t taught how to deal with it.
You should also mention that bread with (a lot) BUTTER(or any other source of fat, please don't eat margerine) is asking for trouble. Same with that baked potato you mentioned, eat it with copious amounts of fats and you're screwed, you're basically eating some healthier form of Chips/Crisps that way. Fat+Carbs = asking for trouble and weight gain, it's easy to overeat this combination, especially when there's sugar or salt added). That's why Low fat diets make you lose weight and why low carb diets do the same, they reduce one of the two and make it easier for the body to process the food. Personally my approach of keeping carbs bellow 100g a day and consuming only a max of 10-20g of that as sugar makes it easy to lose weight, cause you won't have to deal with hunger cravings all the time, even if you cut your Calories bei 30% or more or even eat nothing for a whole day if you decide to fast.
@@krammet OOOOOH my god. I could swim in an OCEAN of rice with butter. Again... that falls into the ummppph zone, right? Thanks for watching Krammet :)
Hey Clive - it's not needed, but it can make things easier for some folks. Having higher carbs on big training days, and a bit lower on rest days can be a bit of a psychological help too. So if it works for you, and it helps your adherence, cool!
I've just stated with carb cycling and seen a massive difference within my shape i also implemented carb timing using 40% of my carbs around training and very little in my last meal of the day
You're a beast bro!💪
Underrated channel should have more subs? Not sure what's going on
