Thanks for checking out Part 2 of our discussion on Diabetes and Kidney Health. In case you missed part 1, here is the link: ua-cam.com/video/ukQ7e1__2lw/v-deo.html
Finally the information I’ve been seeking for months. Part 1 & 2 provide excellent information. Looking forward to delving into more information on meal planning & menus for diabetics with kidney disease. A quick chart & checklist for daily nutrition requirements would be great.
8:00 - Albumin with Creatinine, Urine (Random) - So how do we get these levels under control?Alb/Creat Ratio 108 mg/g if it's prediabetes, how do we get prediabetes better? Is starfruit and licorice safe? How safe is something like percocet - with oxy and Tylenol? How long of a "drug holiday" do we need and what tests would we run again? How do we know if a proton pump inhibitor is causing kidney damage? How long of a "drug holiday" do we need and what tests would we run again?
Thanks for sharing your experience. It is very important for me. I have polycystic kidney stage 3. I'm 68 old...I'm not diabetic. Can I add collagen type 1,2, 3 to my smoothies?
Whats the difference between the serum blood test like serum potassium vs RBC potassium? How do I get the DR to approve the RBC one? He was like you must be asking Dr Google these questions or some fake guru's on youtube.
I am having problems sleeping since I got diagnosed, pains in my stomach and constipation. I don’t understand why when I am including so much fiber in my diet.
Its always a good idea to get it worked up. Keep in mind that when we start a high fiber diet, it may initially cause constipation that improves. You should definitely check with your doctor to make sure there isn't anything else going on or whether you need a colonoscopy.
@@PlantBasedKidneyHealth funny I have had a lot of problems since I has a laminectomy back in July. I had to be catheterized that night and have had problems since.
@@sophierosebisou8420 Thanks. All sweeteners, natural or artificial, cause a release of insulin. I guess there was an evolutionary advantage to having a 'head start' but this promotes insulin resistance and in the case of artificial ones to overshoot. All sweeteners affect the gut biome in a way that promotes insulin resistance but some are worse than others. One recent paper abstract that covers this is DOI: 10.1016/j.cell.2022.07.016 . If you must use an artificial sweetener then stevia would seem to be one of the better ones but still use it in minimal concentrations. Regards.
Doctor Hashmi, would you please answer this question: can papaya seeds cure CKD espesially caused by inflammation because of taking NSAID (NON STEROID ANTI INFLAMMATION DRUGS)? Why or why not?

The literature seems to indicate that all the manufactured sweeteners change the gut biome in the wrong direction. What about stevia and monk fruit.
Check out time stamp at 13:38.
Actually starts at 12:51 for monkfruit, but I can only find monkfruit blended with Erythritol...so continue to 13:38!😬
