A lot of serious mental illnesses like schizophrenia, BPD etc tend to present themselves in adultdood, so she very well may have been an outstanding student before a sharp mental decline in her 20s.
I’m full blooded Korean born and raised in Los Angeles by strict immigrant Korean parents. I’m 42 yrs old and my parents’ Korean generation raised my generation with tremendous unrealistic expectations to academically succeed. I dropped out of college at 20 yrs old and served in the USA military for 7 yrs. My Dad disowned me for several years due to being a college drop out. I was hoping to hear what happened to Leah in her earlier years that brought her to the current situation. I went back to college and obtained my AA degree at 31 yrs old and BS degree at 33 yrs old while raising 2 babies. I wish my parents’ Korean generation realizes success is a relative term and different for everyone. College isn’t the definition of success in my opinion and work experience. Whatever triggered Leah’s drug addiction, I hope she doesn’t give up getting back on track to the days she was passionate about interior design. Or pursue whichever productive lifestyle she desires. I hope her Chinese parents didn’t disown her (very likely did). Leah we’re rooting for you. You have a sweet soul. ❤

I'm pretty sure everyone including the cameraman saw that the guy who walked up is her trafficker and she's being abused. If the channel uses its earnings to fund shelters in the community, that's one thing. I think Leah is not only under substance, but also under some sort of control by others. She was telling her story unsolicited by the man filming, but the story is so abnormal: she is not allowed to go home during the day, she was beaten by stick all the time, people threw drinks at her, she's proud of the moment she puts on her shirt after shower, she used to be an A+ college student, she's feared of the man running to her when she was being interviewed, the man stared at her while asking a "casual" question, the man squeezed her hand pretending shaking hand with her, when he tried a second time, Leah pulled away..... I think she was asking for help her way, this is a very smart woman. What can we do to help her?

This woman was nothing more than an opportunity for another predator who simply wanted likes on UA-cam. It's fu**ing heartbreaking that this woman seems to be a magnet for it. She’s also talked about escorting and feeling the need to around the age of 18 so that she can take care of herself. Not saying all sex workers but a ton that work off the streets have gone through terrible traumas in their life.
This breaks my heart. After watching this entire interview I can paint a picture of this woman’s story. She came from a typical Asian family where you were expected to work hard in school and achieve goals which she did but once she got to college she fell into the wrong crowd, once she has spiraled downward her family disowned her instead of helping her. She is very intelligent and kind. She is suffering from drug induced psychoses. I don't know why I feel so much pain for her. I've watched many videos but she breaks my heart. Every fifth sentence is deep and meaningful.

I am 67 years old. I have been homeless for 6 months. 15 years ago and I can relate to this situation. I feel so sorry for her. It almost brought tears to my eyes. She is so smart and has a heart from heaven. She is so sweet. I hope you can help her. Medication is a suppression. Medication does nothing to solve the problems. It just shuts ppl down. And this is how doctors think. Just give them medication. Maybe, if you're a real doctor, find out the causes of this instead of just throwing medication down her throat to shut her up. The only winner here is the pharmacist.

She's highly intelligent and beautiful, and tough. People would say she's so out of touch. Lost it. Women who have been in her position said "Listen to her. She's in there. She's trying to relay what's going on but in a way to protect herself physically and mentally" She'd talk of being put in a dog cage. Being burned by a Spanish witch. It would move people to say she's lost her mind. Eng game she was doused by some kind of fluid and lit on fire in a park in Kensington. Her street name is Bree. Her true name Alyssa. It's a miracle she's alive. She was in Temple burn unit for months. She'll require a lifetime of surgery. The point was her story was in there. It wasn't made up. If you'd want to hear her interviews they're on AML FILMS. The only "good" thing came out of this is she got clean and is in another State far from Philly. This beautiful woman seems to be the same. She's in there, but protecting herself mentally and of course physically. We can only hope and pray she gets help somehow.

Thank you for covering Asians. I’m a former addict, was addicted to blues (perc 30's that turned out to be fentanyl). Thank God I have over a year clean. I started a channel to document my sobriety journey as well as helping others and bringing awareness to the drug epidemic issue. I know what it's like to feel the weight of shame from your whole entire family. Thank you for bringing awareness to this issue. Many Asian addicts live in shame from asking for help. Some, our functional next door neighbors. Hopefully, more of us can come out and support each other in recovery before it's too late.❤

I know I shouldn’t assume, but I cannot help but think considering the stats it could’ve been some form of violent SV/abuse experience…I was r*ped and after four years of struggling to keep going it is extremely difficult as I’ve lost very good jobs twice since then due to my constant flashbacks and intrusive thoughts periodically becoming unmanageable… I used to be highly ambitious, successful, I was in peak physical shape…now I’m thin, weak, and constantly battling to just survive the day. There were times I’ve been so low, I wanted to die and I really can understand how people choose drugs. I grew up with parents who were addicted to drugs, so I’ve never considered it, as I know where it leads…but let me tell you I understand why it’s not easy. I could be totally wrong about her story, but considering how prevalent SV is among women and how silenced it is…it could likely be a catalyst. It does the same kind of damage to the brain as war does…I’ve had brain scans that show the damage it is insane. I absolutely hate that this happens to people and one thing keeping me focused is to believe , by the grace of God, I can use my story and my life to help others walk out of that darkness and find their resilience again too. 🕊️ In any case, she’s obviously been through hell and back…I pray she finds community, and someone to sponsor her, to help her get back on her feet. It takes a village to care for our vulnerable, our vets, our children, out displaced and discarded. We as a community need to step up as often as we can to be there for others. If you take away the obvious signs of her drug use, you can tell she’s intelligent and probably use to carry herself with composure and poise. You can hear it in her voice.

Reasons why she have a better sense because a lot of the guy and girl when they are in their teen. They felt that euphoria of ejaculation. Everyone just want to feel that sensation. And if no one educated themselves, then they end up with a kid they can't take care of. When you hit closer to your 30s you'll see this. When your in your 16 - teen, you just want to fuck and have that sensation feeling when ejaculating and your not educated enough to know why you want a kid in the first place, it just suddenly pop in your belly. 18 is the legal age to have sex but kids be doing it anyway in blind sight. In her case she made money by fucking. She also knows that this can't raise a kid for that kid to live a proper life. Teens these days are starting to catch on though because of a lot of divorces. People are just fucking back then and never really thought about spending their rest of their life with someone who enjoy the same hobbies or passion of the job. If you want to live a good life, find someone who also have the same passion and hobbies as you.
This is absolutely the saddest thing I've ever seen in my life. This woman had a 4.0 GPA in college, and she ended up in the street on drugs. Well, where did she learn about drugs? She learned her bad habits and met her pimp boy friend / husband while she was in attending community college. My son had an Asian (Japanese) friend in High School who was a straight A student, in a bunch of extracurricular activities, played the cello, spoke 3 languages and was good looking and well-spoken. A few months before graduation, he went to his first party (while his parents were at a Broadway show in NYC for the night) and someone convinced him to try acid...from what we've been told, from people at the party, he had a horrible "acid trip" and 911 had to be called. He never fully recovered and seeing Leah reminds me of my son's friend. He ended up talking in circles, missed he last few months of school and just went downhill very fast from there. Last we heard he's homeless, on drugs and living in Portland Oregon.

As long as you’re prepared for how long it lasts, what will happen, make sure it came from a trusted source, you have trip sitters (sober people you trust) to watch over you and take care of you if you start to feel scared, if you’re in a safe environment, then you’ll have a nice time. If you have problems with intrusive or self harm thoughts, it can make those worse as well, so you have to decide for yourself if that’s a problem for you. If you feel ready for it and safe, then that’s the time to try it. If you’re unprepared like it sounds like this kid was, then it CAN end badly.

I’m Asian and I use to do drugs and drink now I only smoke plant. But here is what I think happened to her from personal experience. She was a star student and got straight A’s. She studied hard and did well. But she fell into a dark path because of her childhood. Her parents probably pushed her so hard and never gave her freedom. She was always in her school books. She couldn’t go out and she had to succeed. She didn’t have time to be a kid when she should have been so after graduating college and she became free from her parents and of school, so she started experiencing what she couldn’t as a teen. She probably tried a few drugs here and there and ended up getting hooked real bad. Let me tell you if you need help from any addiction do not be embarrassed! We are all in this together and I’ve been there. But a thriving open human being is 1000% better than a close up dead human being.
I would say that she was not able to be brought up in the world like others with overbearinng parents,and when let loose i hte world,did not know enough to stay away from certain people.Didn't get the tools to survive...possibly

As a full blooded Korean raised by very strict family i totally understand her. I been to Australia for my highschool and china for my college. I got my bachelor degree but life didn't went well as i expected. I got depression and alcohol disorder for long time. Being a loner for few years and disconnect myself from society. I still have light depression and drinking issue but i try to become a better person so i could help someone who's been same situation as i did. When i am depressed i go to church and pray to jesus. I hope jesus leads me to best way for helping others.

I have a feeling Leah’s been drugged (she did mention she was by her husband with male enhancement stuff) and not necessarily taking them by choice. My gut tells me her relationship was extremely abusive. She may have incurred mental damage both physically and definitely emotionally. If she was drugged with other dangerous stuff, then it did brain damage. And perhaps if that man who approached her is a pimp and gives her the false sense of security (like keeps her around by feeding her), he’s doing the same to keep her in a confused state & to keep her under his control. Her parents most likely did not understand that this could happen to their daughter. And instead of protecting her from abuse, they disown her cause they think it’s strictly what she chooses, even though it’s not. They disown her because they do not have the mental tools themselves to understand how to deal with behaviors from those being abused. The cycle of abuse / generational issues are passed down. As an Asian woman who started my very first relationship off with major abuse from my ex boyfriend, I learned we tend to gravitate towards abusive relationships cause that’s what we’re used to from abusive parents. I, too, was a gifted child, top of the class, graduated with honors, voted “most likely to succeed,” received many outstanding citizenship awards. Abuse does not discriminate. I had to learn to spot and disown the abuse and that it is unacceptable even from those who you thought loved you the most. Poor Leah probably couldn’t get out in time and now she’s stuck in a cycle. I pray she gets ripped away from it all and can start a new. But even so, it’s sad cause if her brain is damaged, we all know that that may equal no full recovery or being able to function in society again.
I have my doubts about her past intelligence. Also, she may or may not have been forced to take drugs, but pretty sure she is a meth addict now, given what she has said. It is sad that 10 years ago she would have been an attractive sane, woman and now she is a shell of her former self and may never recover.

Those were not necessarily good days- those were days where she could easily comfort herself with goals that were not in sight yet. She was getting the external rewards she confused as hers.

I’m full blooded Korean born and raised in Los Angeles by strict immigrant Korean parents. I’m 42 yrs old and my parents’ Korean generation raised my generation with tremendous unrealistic expectations to academically succeed. I dropped out of college at 20 yrs old and served in the USA military for 7 yrs. My Dad disowned me for several years due to being a college drop out. I was hoping to hear what happened to Leah in her earlier years that brought her to the current situation. I went back to college and obtained my AA degree at 31 yrs old and BS degree at 33 yrs old while raising 2 babies. I wish my parents’ Korean generation realizes success is a relative term and different for everyone. College isn’t the definition of success in my opinion and work experience. Whatever triggered Leah’s drug addiction, I hope she doesn’t give up getting back on track to the days she was passionate about interior design. Or pursue whichever productive lifestyle she desires. I hope her Chinese parents didn’t disown her (very likely did). Leah we’re rooting for you. You have a sweet soul. ❤

Medication is a suppression. Medication does nothing to solve the problems. It just shuts ppl down. And this is how doctors think. Just give them medication. Maybe, if you're a real doctor, find out the causes of this instead of just throwing medication down her throat to shut her up. The only winner here is the pharmacist.

She was in Temple burn unit for months. She'll require a lifetime of surgery. The point was her story was in there. It wasn't made up. If you'd want to hear her interviews they're on AML FILMS. The only "good" thing came out of this is she got clean and is in another State far from Philly. This beautiful woman seems to be the same. She's in there, but protecting herself mentally and of course physically. We can only hope and pray she gets help somehow.

I know I shouldn’t assume, but I cannot help but think considering the stats it could’ve been some form of violent SV/abuse experience…I was r*ped and after four years of struggling to keep going it is extremely difficult as I’ve lost very good jobs twice since then due to my constant flashbacks and intrusive thoughts periodically becoming unmanageable… I used to be highly ambitious, successful, I was in peak physical shape…now I’m thin, weak, and constantly battling to just survive the day. There were times I’ve been so low, I wanted to die and I really can understand how people choose drugs. I grew up with parents who were addicted to drugs, so I’ve never considered it, as I know where it leads…but let me tell you I understand why it’s not easy. I could be totally wrong about her story, but considering how prevalent SV is among women and how silenced it is…it could likely be a catalyst. It does the same kind of damage to the brain as war does…I’ve had brain scans that show the damage it is insane. I absolutely hate that this happens to people and one thing keeping me focused is to believe , by the grace of God, I can use my story and my life to help others walk out of that darkness and find their resilience again too. 🕊️
In any case, she’s obviously been through hell and back…I pray she finds community, and someone to sponsor her, to help her get back on her feet. It takes a village to care for our vulnerable, our vets, our children, out displaced and discarded. We as a community need to step up as often as we can to be there for others. That’s were the riches of life are truly found, that’s we’re true legacy is imprinted on the world. 🙏🤍🕊️

One of the most beloved people in my life has a psychotic disorder. What scares me the most is how vulnerable someone is when they are experiencing psychosis. She seems like a beautiful person and I pray she is kept safe🙏🏼
If you take away the obvious signs of her drug use, you can tell she’s intelligent and probably use to carry herself with composure and poise. You can hear it in her voice.
If she could get cleaned up, with her knowledge and experiences that she has been through, she could accomplish so much!

Most of the people featured on this channel came in with a dream but are going out with a nightmare. Nobody wants to be in that situation. Nobody planned on that life. Some may have helped it along but many of them were merely just asking for a ride they had little control of.

Reasons why she have a better sense because a lot of the guy and girl when they are in their teen. They felt that euphoria of ejaculation. Everyone just want to feel that sensation. And if no one educated themselves, then they end up with a kid they can't take care of. When you hit closer to your 30s you'll see this. When your in your 16 - teen, you just want to fuck and have that sensation feeling when ejaculating and your not educated enough to know why you want a kid in the first place, it just suddenly pop in your belly. 18 is the legal age to have sex but kids be doing it anyway in blind sight. In her case she made money by fucking. She also knows that this can't raise a kid for that kid to live a proper life. Teens these days are starting to catch on though because of a lot of divorces. People are just fucking back then and never really thought about spending their rest of their life with someone who enjoy the same hobbies or passion of the job. If you want to live a good life, find someone who also have the same passion and hobbies as you.

This is absolutely the saddest thing I've ever seen in my life. This woman had a 4.0 GPA in college, and she ended up in the street on drugs. Well, where did she learn about drugs? She learned her bad habits and met her pimp boy friend / husband while she was in attending community college. At this point she is still young enough to recover, if she can get away from the bad habits she has picked up. I hope someone helps her.

My son had an Asian (Japanese) friend in High School who was a straight A student, in a bunch of extracurricular activities, played the cello, spoke 3 languages and was good looking and well-spoken. A few months before graduation, he went to his first party (while his parents were at a Broadway show in NYC for the night) and someone convinced him to try acid...from what we've been told, from people at the party, he had a horrible "acid trip" and 911 had to be called. He never fully recovered and seeing Leah reminds me of my son's friend. He ended up talking in circles, missed he last few months of school and just went downhill very fast from there. Last we heard he's homeless, on drugs and living in Portland Oregon.

As long as you’re prepared for how long it lasts, what will happen, make sure it came from a trusted source, you have trip sitters (sober people you trust) to watch over you and take care of you if you start to feel scared, if you’re in a safe environment, then you’ll have a nice time. If you have problems with intrusive or self harm thoughts, it can make those worse as well, so you have to decide for yourself if that’s a problem for you. If you feel ready for it and safe, then that’s the time to try it. If you’re unprepared like it sounds like this kid was, then it CAN end badly.

It's a lysergic acid that binds to certain serotonin receptors which in turn causes the hallucinations and phycosis. There is studies out there that say lsd has a potential to slowly tear down ones sense of self, which could be devastating, yet those studies show that with habitual users. I’m Asian and I use to do drugs and drink now I only smoke plant. But here is what I think happened to her from personal experience.
She was a star student and got straight A’s. She studied hard and did well. But she fell into a dark path because of her childhood. Her parents probably pushed her so hard and never gave her freedom. She was always in her school books. She couldn’t go out and she had to succeed. She didn’t have time to be a kid when she should have been so after graduating college and she became free from her parents and of school, so she started experiencing what she couldn’t as a teen. She probably tried a few drugs here and there and ended up getting hooked real bad.
Let me tell you if you need help from any addiction do not be embarrassed! We are all in this together and I’ve been there. But a thriving open human being is 1000% better than a close up dead human being.

I been to Australia for my highschool and china for my college. I got my bachelor degree but life didn't went well as i expected.
I got depression and alcohol disorder for long time. Being a loner for few years and disconnect myself from society.
I still have light depression and drinking issue but i try to become a better person so i could help someone who's been same situation as i did.
When i am depressed i go to church and pray to jesus. I hope jesus leads me to best way for helping others.

That was just effing strange as hell when that dude ran up like that. Dude sounded like he had a Russian or Eastern European accent, and dresses like he just left the old country. I have a feeling Leah’s been drugged (she did mention she was by her husband with male enhancement stuff) and not necessarily taking them by choice. My gut tells me her relationship was extremely abusive. She may have incurred mental damage both physically and definitely emotionally. If she was drugged with other dangerous stuff, then it did brain damage. And perhaps if that man who approached her is a pimp and gives her the false sense of security (like keeps her around by feeding her), he’s doing the same to keep her in a confused state & to keep her under his control. Her parents most likely did not understand that this could happen to their daughter. And instead of protecting her from abuse, they disown her cause they think it’s strictly what she chooses, even though it’s not. They disown her because they do not have the mental tools themselves to understand how to deal with behaviors from those being abused. The cycle of abuse / generational issues are passed down. As an Asian woman who started my very first relationship off with major abuse from my ex boyfriend, I learned we tend to gravitate towards abusive relationships cause that’s what we’re used to from abusive parents. I, too, was a gifted child, top of the class, graduated with honors, voted “most likely to succeed,” received many outstanding citizenship awards. Abuse does not discriminate. I had to learn to spot and disown the abuse and that it is unacceptable even from those who you thought loved you the most. Poor Leah probably couldn’t get out in time and now she’s stuck in a cycle. I pray she gets ripped away from it all and can start a new. But even so, it’s sad cause if her brain is damaged, we all know that that may equal no full recovery or being able to function in society again.
I have my doubts about her past intelligence. Also, she may or may not have been forced to take drugs, but pretty sure she is a meth addict now, given what she has said. It is sad that 10 years ago she would have been an attractive sane, woman and now she is a shell of her former self and may never recover.
