Long term nursing and social care is more complicated in terms of funding and availability, there often simply aren't enough spaces, so the provision of care falls back on family members. It's a desperate state currently, and it's getting worse thanks to 12 years of austerity as a political ideology, and chronic underfunding.

In case anyones wondering she meant bacterial endocarditis. Where clumps of bacteria forms on the heart causing infection, they can break off and cause infections to other parts. The part she doesn't include is the fact that it's a common disease amongst heroin addicts. Trust, she's been a user before if not currently still using.

I have always said to anyone who would listen - Never huge a homeless person. You don’t know their story and what they’ve been through to end up like this. The first thing that goes through my mind with Every homeless person I see is “What happened to them? What’s their story? I wish I could help” Wish I could help every single one that really needed it. I really wish 😔
God bless this lady beyond measure. I hope to hear the rest of her story one day - especially the part where you put it on someone’s heart to buy her a home. Amen! 🏡 take her to her new home!
So she says... bottom line follow your heart ❤️....if you feel like it... well that's your choice....but in the meantime let's start wars/ and then send help... THINK ABOUT IT!
I’ve always said some of us are just a few pay checks from being homeless. It’s not a place where people choose to be it’s the cards that’s life delt to us. Take it or leave it. Like Forrest Gump says Life is like a box of Chocolate you never know what you gonna get. Be kind to the homeless you don’t know how they got there and when you learn their story show compassion. Thank you. Amen 🙏🏻 God bless you
My husband bought food and drink from the store to a woman he saw begging on the street. She took what he gave her without a word then to my husband’s utter amazement she said “go to the cash point and get me £50!” My husband went away feeling quite angry as £50 for him was a day’s wages and she didn’t even say thank you.
My heart goes out to her, I hope she has a place and support soon.. it’s hard being homeless but even harder when your a woman.. how our government is forced by the European human rights bill to take thousands of migrants and leave it not able to look after its own.. this injustice needs to be sorted out
Here in America,I feel exactly the same....how is it possible that we have even one person, homeless?!?The billionaires, the empty buildings everywhere, there is no excuse that anyone should be in need!!!!😪🤷♀️
There was once a homeless man outside our local Asda on a hot day. He reminded my mum of her dad who passed away back in 2014. We brought food for him and gave him a tenner. He was so grateful because he said he was saving up for a £20 single tent because his was ripped. Me and my mum ended up buying the tent for him. I mean what's £20. He was so grateful and I prayed to God that I'd have something good in return. After finishing uni I was so stressed about getting a job and low and behold 1 month after graduation I was hired and now am so happy in my new job. You better believe that if you do good, you'll get good in return
So many Homeless people all across World , glad if someone help her get place to live. So sad her husband past away. Let’s give helping hand in this Hardship in this World. Gift love goes long long ways. Beautiful story.
Many people in our homeless communities have stories like this one and if we take the time to listen we’d have more compassion and be more willing to help. We have to get rid of the idea that the people in these kind of situations are there because they choose to be or because their too lazy to work or because they are addicted to drugs and alcohol. Any one of us, through a series of life altering events, can end up like this. So happy this woman has a happy ending.
I became homeless and disabled after a bad car accident. Drug attack/lazy people got more help than me. I was still working part time. My health couldn't do more. These people like us get over look and pushed away.
More action, less empty commenting. If we have money to spare, there are many charities helping to get people off the streets. If we have time to spare, working for/with those charities is great. If you can be assured that who you meet is "safe" (not a lazy, drunk or violent beggar) then offering a sandwich or a drink is kind. Money is fleeting and all too quickly squandered. Charity donations are better. If you want to befriend them, invite them home - that is a noble undertaking.
Yap one time I had 1 nickel to my name. I was lucky cause I got a job that same week. It saved me that was 10 years ago. Ever since iv been planning and working hard for the future. Just be kind and realize even if they are on drugs why are they? I just don't no why we help everyone else. Since January of this year over 1 million have crossed that border. They go on welfair when they get here. They are flown to New York and they get on aid for 1 year intill they get a work visa which takes a year. They come here and 3 4 kids. Why do u think our gas food etc has gone up? We help everyone else but our own. Shut down mental health and rents sky high so people have to live on the streets now in campers. This administration says unemployment is at its lowest. All a lie than why are so many hurtting?
God wants us all to help one another...something small to us, who are not in this position, is huge to those who are. So glad she now has a home. God bless her.
My father died in March 6 weeks after being diagnosed with colon cancer, although we knew he had been sick for years. I don’t know what people do without them. Their home care is a blessing.
I went from having a well paid full time job, $90,000 in my savings account and a nice 2 bedroom apartment to the streets in the space of a year. Make no mistake, this could happen to anyone. Sometimes life drops you on your head when you least expect it.

People don't seem to understand that we _are all_ only one bad decision, bad circumstance or bad experience away from losing our homes. We should all be far more compassionate than some are. The misconception that people are just 'lazy' is absolutely disgusting. No one would choose that way of life. I've known many homeless people for various reasons & non of them were lazy, 'enjoyed' it or chose to be out in the cold. I know what I'm saying sounds so obvious, but sadly there are still some that have 0 empathy for others difficult situations; especially the Tories here in the UK who believe we all just need to pull up our boot straps & graft harder 🙄🤨. I don’t think it was her home, I think it was her business too. Does she not say she had a hostel at the time and gave it up to take care of her husband?
Yes. Unfortunately that's the way housing legislation works in the UK. If you've given up your place in temporary accommodation, they class you as "voluntarily homeless" and withdraw assistance from you. Tricky policies they've got. Glad it's all worked out for her. X
I noticed that the interviewer did not offer up a bedroom or couch, but was quick to state, “I don’t know why nobody is helping you”. It’s easy to identify problems, they are everywhere. Be the one to bring solutions.
People these days are sickening, they walk by me the same way like i don't exist, and i'm a regular labor worker, but i keep reminding to my self, the only who opens my eyes and give me strength is the Lord Almighty, everyone else can just keep walking.
Oh well I'm glad that Andrea got some help unfortunately a lot of homeless are not drug addicts they're just in bad situations and they become drug addicts and alcoholics because hell there ain't nothing to look forward to there's nothing to lean back on so the drugs take you to a different better place in your mind... The update is amazing x I live in a homeless centre myself, I’ve been homeless since I was 15. This was because I ran away from home every time the police bought me back to my family home, I was beaten to pulp every day and I couldn’t take it anymore. I went to the police and social services and they let me down terribly. I spent so many winters by the canal because even though it was freezing, it was the only place I could hide and sleep (in the bushes or a really dark spot. My 17th birthday I spent in A&E because I’d taken an overdose on paracetamol, the stranger that found me had called the police and because I looked so young and I had no identification on me at the time, everyone thought I was about 9 years old. I spent 3 months in a mental hospital, then a women’s refuge centre for a year, then a hostel where a male staff member abused me for 4 years and that damaged my mental health even more than my abusive family. I was now a grown woman running away from my hostel because of abuse. I wanted to leave this world so many times because of just not having somewhere I can lay my head without constantly watching my back. I wouldn’t wish homelessness on my worst enemy.
That is so sad!!! THANK YOU for sharing icecream with her. All she was doing is helping and then she ends up on the street. God Bless her. It gets worse before it gets better. Sounds like the worst has happened and getting better is going to happen for her.
I taught my 3 boys to help people wherever they can. After helping lots people and been used so much and now we need help but no one has helped us. The boys said now we are not going to help anyone but I told them you help people because you want to not because you might get something back, you do it out of the goodness of your heart. We have been broken into 4 times and still after almost 2yrs we still haven't replaced things we need like medical equipment and more but we helped more people instead of our needs. The last 2 people we helped the boys seen how a drink of water and a sandwich made them cry as they hadn't eaten for a few days. A few months go we helped a father and son, they ended up stealing stuff including all our medication and they gave us covid which almost killed one of my boys and I.

When I was little, I had a few dollars in my pockets. And one day, on a holiday with my family, I saw a homeless person with his child. I wanted to give them my pocket money, but my dad dragged me and didn't allow me to do it :(. One day I went to buy myself some food for school and in front of the shop there was a homeless man. I went to buy my food, but I also bought that mad water and food and I also gave him 10 dollars. He was so happy that it made me feel happy
I spent over a year homeless living in my car and couches/hotels when I could. I got sick with leukemia and I didn't hsve health insurance. I went from working 2 jobs and going to school to barely being able to work part time to afford food and gas to sleep in my car, in the space of 6 months. I lost everything but the bags I could fit in the trunk of my car. Please never judge why someone ends up on the street, talk to them or at least be kind in passing. I became homeless for 7 years starting at the age of 50 because of some evil people including some government workers. I've also been harassed since then by gangs of people. I'm a Christian minister for over 40 years and now I am 60 years old and live in a one room deficiency apartment in a senior apartment complex under HUD and I get the full food stamps because I have no income without a job. Thank you for actually asking her if she’s okay w being filmed. Drives me crazy random people sticking a camera in the face of folks who probably wouldn’t agree to it if asked the question
It’s not illegal. And if you don’t want to be stared at or filmed, try getting your act together, get off the street, and stop being a drug addicted burden on people.
@@MrFuggleGuggle you're a joke not an ounce of humanity in you aye. I hope you're never in that position.
@@phazedkilledyou I’m not the one using a public street as a campsite, pooping and peeing in the alleys, leaving dirty needles and broken glass at children’s playgrounds and dog parks, and using the money people give me for food to buy drugs and booze all day long.
You say I don’t have humanity, but it’s ok for these degenerates to act like animals forever - stealing everything from family, friends, and strangers that isn’t bolted down instead of getting over their addictions?…
I pity you. You still think these are just ‘poor’ people. That’s adorable, but, scary that you can vote.
@@MrFuggleGuggleYou clearly know absolutely nothing about trauma and addiction and how the systemic injustices within our society cause them.
It is incredibly difficult not to find yourself destitute when you’ve been brought up in the traumatic, poverty stricken and often violent and abusive circumstances that these people have.
“The Myth of Normal” and “In the Realm of the Hungry Ghosts” by Dr Gabor Mate are enlightening reads on the topic. Equally “The Wisdom of Trauma” is an exquisite documentary, also with Dr Gabor Mate.
Shaming and a lack of understanding is not only what got us here but is what perpetuates the problem.
Do better.
@@DrAlexisM So - because you had a hard life, that gives you an excuse to be a burden - even a potential threat and danger - to everyone else, forever? If anything we aren’t shaming enough. We’re literally telling people it’s ‘OK’ to live on the street endlessly getting high and failing to rehabilitate into society.
And if you’re so self righteous, invite them into your home and house them yourself! My tax dollars are better spent elsewhere. Also - fun fact - 18% (nearly 1 in 5) of California‘a homeless have a sex offender charge. You comfortable housing and feeding and clothing a ‘down on their luck’ kiddie-fiddler, endlessly?…

Long term nursing and social care is more complicated in terms of funding and availability, there often simply aren't enough spaces, so the provision of care falls back on family members. Endocarditis is a infection that attacks the heart valve. It doesn't travel to other parts of body. Therefore this woman's story is really just a lie. Furthermore the way
to get endocarditis is by using needles without first cleaning the skin with an alcohol swab. What is her full name?
In case anyones wondering she meant bacterial endocarditis. Where clumps of bacteria forms on the heart causing infection, they can break off and cause infections to other parts.
The part she doesn't include is the fact that it's a common disease amongst heroin addicts. Trust, she's been a user before if not currently still using.
Im not saying that to be mean but just can tell what the real cause is, the apartment and disease were symptoms of the drug use.

My husband bought food and drink from the store to a woman he saw begging on the street. Ronan Evans is a great person. Calling on people to help others. We need more of that.
Or just do good without expecting anything in return, just be a decent human

She's so gracious and so pleasant, her story is so sad. It hurts my heart seeing her sitting on the wet ground. Bless her heart.

People don't seem to understand that we _are all_ only one bad decision, bad circumstance or bad experience away from losing our homes. We should all be far more compassionate than some are. The misconception that people are just 'lazy' is absolutely disgusting. No one would choose that way of life. I've known many homeless people for various reasons & non of them were lazy, 'enjoyed' it or chose to be out in the cold.
So sorry for everything you had to endure.
I hope you are ok now 😊

The boys said now we are not going to help anyone but I told them you help people because you want to not because you might get something back, you do it out of the goodness of your heart. We have been broken into 4 times and still after almost 2yrs we still haven't replaced things we need like medical equipment and more but we helped more people instead of our needs. The last 2 people we helped the boys seen how a drink of water and a sandwich made them cry as they hadn't eaten for a few days. A few months go we helped a father and son, they ended up stealing stuff including all our medication and they gave us covid which almost killed one of my boys and I.

I'm a Christian minister for over 40 years and now I am 60 years old and live in a one room deficiency apartment in a senior apartment complex under HUD and I get the full food stamps because I have no income without a job. I have tried to get an agency to pay for my schooling to be a truck driver and they seem to be putting me off for over 6 months now. If I could get that truck driving job I would buy a non-semi truck to help people in need by delivering them food and mowing their yard etc. I want to do good things before it's too late. I keep believing God is going to bless me so I can do this and I pray God blesses everyone that wants to.
I love these videos, I've just recently become homeless and it's so hard to see the world carry on around you when u just want to desperately cry out for help.
Get back to Allah
