I’ve had one for a few months now and it is a terrific umbrella. It’s very solid, can handle strong winds without folding up and it’s made very well, I imagine in self defence if I poked someone or something with that steel tip, it would bloody well hurt and yes the handle is very chunky and could be used to hit someone or something in self defence. I also like leaning on it when I’m waiting in line or in a queue, the shaft is super strong and doesn’t bend at all. I am very happy with my purchase as first and foremost it is a fantastic umbrella.
To insinuate that you can use the umbrella as a parachute or shield is definitely misleading. It's a $50 umbrella. The only thing it will shield is a line of sight. Maybe a slap. Despite over selling it, it seems like a great product worth the money.
I thought it has a bullet or some pellets in the stalk. Those were used by the Bulgarians a while ago. It even protects against the wind and rain not bad at all. How much does it cost?Is the umbrella canvas made of Kevlar or something like that?

Pretty cool. Wish they'd make a compact tactical one as well, something to put in the car next to me or in a back-pack.
