I’ve been wearing my 511 boots everyday for a year or two and they’ve been phenomenal. I bought at the recommendation of the company by James in a sponsored program and haven’t been disappointed in the slightest.
I bought a pair of 5.11 boots back in early 2021 and they're still going strong. I bought them and started wearing them to break them in, but found them to be wildly comfortable and just kept wearing them.
Too bad, you were out of town for the Metairie 5.11 store grand opening. I was hoping to see James J. Revees cutting the ribbon. Maybe one day I will see him in the Shorty Shorts section.
@@silkplayer9 I have both. Use Chinos for work. The Ridgeline was a great everyday technical pant that could flex as business casual. I'm not going hiking in my chinos
@@silkplayer9 The Edge Chino's are far too tapered. 5.11 changed something around 2020 and now their pants (and clothing in general) do not measure/fit correctly. I have several pairs of Ridgelines that I purchased from Scottsdale Gun Club back in 2019 and the fitment is drastically different versus the new iterations. Stay classy my friends.
@@BertShacklefordcompletely agree!!! Too tapered and they don’t look dressy or classy. The old RidgeLine fit well and looked classy when traveling overseas or in office or hiking. I’m still looking for another high quality brand to replace these that fit like dress pants, have well placed good pockets (RidgeLine perfected) and make of good material.
Beautiful Mal!! I’ve never personally owned a Mal, but being involved in Schutzhund & French Ringsport as an Agitator/Decoy I can appreciate the Mal’s ability to do things my Rottweilers couldn’t & do things much much faster than a Shepherd. That’s a great example of a Malinois. We called them German Shepherds with a Twin Turbo! If I didn’t just turn 50 I’d consider getting one, but my body & endurance aren’t the same so it wouldn’t be fair to Super Mal not giving him required exercise. BEAUTIFUL DOG!!
This was the second time I listened to Mr Reeves. First time was the Garmin Fenix and it's the best watch I have ever owned I wear it 24/7 and a couple months ago I bought a pair of gloves, a tube scarf and a belt from 5.11. I love it, the value is unbeatable, comfy to wear and looks normal not to tactical because I wear it every day to work or free time.
The Packable Jacket seems like a great idea to put in a range bag or just when traveling anywhere. The price on these seem to be one of 5.11's best values considering their exceptional detail to quality. Thanks for the coverage.
Kristen is a talented, very knowledgeable professional. She has to be the company’s most valuable asset. My Christmas List includes 5.11 gear every year.
She memorized a script. No actual product knowledge. If she knew anything about what she’s talking about she wouldn’t ummmm so much and call vibram “veebrum”
I want one of those Jackets! And the dog too but I'm smart enough to know that a Belgian Malinois would wear me out in one day those guys want to work 24/7
I've got an end-user feedback for 5.11 : start supporting shipping to Canada from the main website; availability of 5.11 products is atrocious up north !
Hey 5.11, some user feedback: I’d love the Defender Range Pant in some additional colors; I ended up dyeing a pair for work and the results were sub-optimal. Take My Money! 💸
Excellent video! James you s.o.b., the Babette and you have sold me on those products. 5.11, I am heading your way. Thanks for the fantastic videos James, you are the best.
My 5.11 gear lasted less than 12 months of light duty work, emphasis on the LIGHT, both my ATAC 2.0 boots and Stryke pants, outright and utter garbage for the cash I forked out. Probably OK if you are just looking to play tacticool, but otherwise spend your money elsewhere.
Originally Weatherproof vintage pants from Costco are great work/EDC/urban tactical pants for around $20-$25. 5.11 is overpriced. I purchased 10 pairs from Costco in case they stop selling them. Many earth colors available. Much better and so far they are holding up at work (construction) just fine.
I have complaints about the Stryke line, but durability isn’t one of them. I wear them every day on the farm, and they’re holding up just fine. I don’t like how they’ve gone to a more “skinny” fit through the legs, but I have gotten a little used to it.
Also my friend wears 5.11 boots and I've been listening to him complain every hunting season. He finely got some Danner boots like I've been telling him to get for years and this hunting season he was like I can't believe how good these are. I think with 5.11 you are paying for the name mostly. You are getting some gear that is pretty good but there clothing line is not that special at all. Definitely not work the coin you drop on it. If you do a lot of hiking, hunting or work outside in the Pacific northwest you are going to find what works or be miserable.
Is it weird then when Kristen turned around I’m like “Wow, nice ass”, then 2 seconds later James turned around and I thought “ Wow, nice ass!”???? Lol.
Have always liked 511 a lot. Only issue is they prominently display 511 all over everything the put out to us! Really wish they wouldn't. I would readily buy more 511, but...
Hopefully they have a wide option on the shoes/boots. I’ll be getting the resoled Norris, that boot he’s wearing and a oversized jacket to go over winter gear.
A great video.Nice stuff. Lots of plasticky stuff however still there is no a warm bulletproof invisibility enabling water smoke radiation and fireproof blanket.
i like ruffwear's offerings but im stoked anytime pups get some spotlight! i remember seeing a video of a military dog handler's gear load out and got some great recommendations from them! already had half the stuff!
Since they're in the business of user feedback. I'd like the Halcyon Boot back or something like it. That features the Clarino material or something similar. I love my AT mid boot but I'd like something better for or winter that doesn't include leather or suede. We're in the age of material science, we should be able to make a boot without those things and keep the price down. Please keep offering wide sizes! Thanks guys!
I'm glad they are doing a variation on the Norris with far better tread. I had been wearing nothing but the 5.11 Range Masters for years and I'm guessing they have discontinued the Range Masters in favour of the Norris line which was disappointing to me because the Norris sneakers a comfortable but have absolutely no grip so I refuse to wear them. If the Mcclane line has good grip than I can go back to wearing 5.11 shoes again.
