Love these items. Here in UK our rights are to be a victim of crime without any defence. No weapons allowed. Even if you use an everyday item as a weapon like a key, you will be charged with carrying a weapon and harming a mugger. If you fight off an attacker, they will rush to a police station and report you for assault and you will be arrested and charged. Here we must allow ourselves to be victims if we want to keep out of prison. What a democracy.
Perhaps a PAC (Political Action Committee), could be formed so as to enable police, security and vulnerable members of society…to protect themselves. I would also suggest that charges be brought in civil court, in class action lawsuits.
I know a girl that wore a couple of those cat rings. One on her index, one on her ring finger. She actually had to defend herself with them once and basically by accident found out that if you leave the spikes on your palm side you can give someone the ultimate bitchslap 👍
When I think of hidden weapons I think of everyday objects in plain sight but used as improvised weapons, not purpose-built cane swords etc which could land you in trouble. Umbrellas, hardcover book, rolled up magazines, ballpoint pens, a piece of paper fashioned into a stiletto point etc. The brain is the real weapon and the possibilities are endless once ingenuity is involved. Nothing against your business but the apex of true martial arts, esp weapons arts, is the ability to fight with whatever is in hand. I carry a solid padlock and a strong carabiner and that works for me, two seemingly innocuous items that can be used a brass knuckles, inside fist loads or in conjunction as a “rock in a sock” combination. You can bring these anywhere, even past security and checkpoints with zero scrutiny. But as weapons, they are more than enough to pulverize bones and put holes in the skull. Lethal stuff.
A regular fighting cane is just as good, but as I am a blade addict I don't know if I should visit your site because I probably end up spending all my money.
Great stuff.Keep it up.Marvel's Bullseye is the one who inspired me a lot to know how to use improvised weapons from his ability to turn any object even the seemingly harmless ones into lethal weapons especially projectiles like,it's crazy ridiculous, the guy can kill you with anything from playing cards, toothpicks, pencils, pens heck he even spat his tooth to a prison guard's skull when his body was chained probably cause of the danger he poses and his accuracy is off the charts he's such an exceptional marksman that rarely misses. The only person who's made him miss is Daredevil and that's only because of his highly heightened senses.
I have the Cold Steel "Hidden Sword Cane" that they call the Night Watchman. It is an excellent cane and sword and well worth the money. I have the other sword cane you showed, as well. It just fell over one day as I was still getting used to using a cane, and the knob handle broke right off. That one little dab of glue wouldn't hold. Used some good cement on it later, but it is now relegated to emergency status in case I forget or lose the Cold Steel cane.
Yeah, I've heard others complain about the knob falling off of that cane when they have purchased it from another company. We actually used a very strong epoxy to secure the knobs on the canes we sell so that doesn't happen with ours. We knew it was a problem, so we took the step to epoxy each one by hand. Thank you so much for watching and for your comment!
I have the heavy duty one as well, and it travels with me everywhere I go. As a disabled vet I even have a legitimate reason to have a cane with me. I don't fly so no worries about the TSA, either. If I ever have to use it for anything besides a cane, well...better to be tried swiftly by twelve, than to be carried away slowly by six!
There are some cool items here but the comment about the umbrella-stabber-unit, “we’ve got a lot of customers that just swear by them” makes me think of the customer(s) saying something like , “I’ve had to employ it half a dozen times in the last month and it only jammed once , with 11 kills in total” .
@@lisacolbert5987 Oh my gosh....I sure hope not!!! No, I've just had the pleasure of speaking with some of our regular customers and they seem to like the quality of them. Thank you so much for watching!
Just remember with all concealed knives, be weary when going thru metal detectors. Such as courts, TV show sets, airports etc., In most cases confiscation but you never know what predicaments may be.
Exactly! I’m so glad you mentioned that! It’s so important that people remember that and that they also check their local laws before carrying any of these. Thank you so much for watching and for your comment! Have a great weekend!
Anybody who has ever been in a knife fight knows he is going to get cut....cut a lot, so pulling out a big knife with a 2 1/2" blade is really going to get you cut up, a lot! When I am going to a knife fight, I bring my 1911 with extended magazine. I don't get cut at all. Even a North American Arms .22 with a 1 1/2" barrel, is better than a knife with a 2 1/2" blade.
I enjoyed your enthusiasm for the design and ingenuity of these 'hidden' (the word that makes them ALL banned 🚫 Not for Sale in the UK) weapons. Some are really neat, for this crazy world we live in! Thanks 👍 for the show!! ✌️🙏

@Mike Hock theyre sharp ? I had one and i hated it it felt cheap and had such a horrible blade i bought it at my fav knifeshop and even the guy seeling it said "dont get these except ya want to spend too much money on a one way blade that you cant use on anything but if you want it that badly then take it for free cause i feel bad for ya" i still gave him the 5 bucks he sold those for (yes he determines his own prices for the stuff he orders and sells)

Thank you for the informative video. One thing you left out is to know your local laws for each item. Some of these are very illegal to have in parts of the US.
I completely agree! This was one of my first videos when I didn’t really know what I was doing yet. All of my more recent videos have that disclaimer. Thanks so much for watching! I really appreciate it!
That's an excellent point Steve! Weapon laws are definitely something you would want to research before carrying any of these! Thank you so much for watching and for your comment!
Do you teach a class where seniors could learn to defend themselves with one of your cane swords? It looks like a really cool way to handle people who are getting on your nerves.
I wouldn't advise a longer blade for elderly as you have to have more strength behind it to swing it or stab it. Plus it is much more easily disarmed. You would be better with a short blade with a handle that gives a steady grip
Great video and great products, once again. Now here's one piece of advice, make sure to tell the customers that THEY can sharpen the blades of what they buy from there, if it's not already sharp enough for their need! 👍🏽
Thanks man! Yeah, I mention that quite a bit in next weeks video and even show them how to sharpen things. The video you are commenting on was one of my first ones and I’ve learned a lot since then. I hope you have an excellent weekend!
Thank you so much I can’t explain how grateful I am. I bought the hidden knife belt last weekend and I couldn’t find a video of how to put the belt around my waist until today thank u so much.
Definitely Kyle! I'm not a huge fan of this particular video because I was really busy the day I recorded it and kind of rushed it, but I will be doing a lot more videos that show off our products. Thank you so much for watching and I really appreciate the support!
he seem nice but i wouldn't get on his bad side. i teach my kids not to piss off any body especially the nice quiet type and one with cauliflower ears.
I have been robbed at knifepoint in a gymnasium locker room before. Those comb or brush spikes tucked in a dopp kit would have been handy and perfectly discrete back then...and may again be so in the very near future!
I got a few different hidden self defense tools but I think that credit card on might be one of the most practical if the size isn't too small or the handle not too awkward.
Hey, want to say thanks for the heads up on that cool sword cane. I'm a army veteran who needs a cane daily for use.. And would love to use one of these. All my other friends will be wanting one🤣🤣🤣.. Going to go save up my penny's, on wait list for them. Thanks for the video. 😎👍🏻
Get the second one. Cold Steel calls it the Night Watchman, but it comes under other names as well, such as here. Aircraft grade aluminum cane with 25" 1095 carbon steel rapier inside. Excellent for daily use.
Awesome! I really like the sword canes too. In fact, we are adding some new ones on KarateMart.com soon. Thank you so much for your support and for your comment!
Do yourself a HUGE favor, and SPEND THE MONEY for an hour of a Lawyer's time, so you can pick their brains about Sword-Cane laws in your jurisdiction. Record the session, too, so if he told you something wrong... You got Ineffective Assistance, right there. The best Free Legal Advice I ever got was to carry a Baseball Mitt in my car. To go with the Baseball Bat I "Wasn't" carrying for self defense. It was well timed advice, too. I wound up needing it within two weeks...
I own one of those spiked rings. As far as I'm aware they only come in one size and the one I got was actually too small so what I did was put sandpaper on my finger and twisted my finger inside the ring and told the hole became big enough. But as a weapon I would personally keep the spikes towards my palm and use it as a slap weapon rather than a fist weapon since there's no support behind it like brass knuckles have and one could potentially break one's finger using it to punch with
Awesome! Thank you for both suggestions! That sandpaper idea is really smart...especially with some really high-grit polishing sandpaper. And also, I agree about using it as a slap weapon. Thank you so much for watching and for your comment. I bet your comment will help some people in the future!
Great video thanks. Great pen knife, lipstick knife, comb knife, credit card knife, key knife, hidden dog tag knife, belt knife, but all illegal even at home in California. No knives that appears like something else & no cane swords, umbrella swords. Throwing stars illegal too.
What the Hell is up with california!?!?!? Are can openers illegal too? It seems like everything you could do to protect yourselves has been made illegal. You guys need to elect a new government.
@@saberattler570 just the big cities and the over populated counties that go with them are having the strict rules. A lot of place in California do not have any size limit on knife blades. And if you are using for recreation and work they become tools not weapons and then are legal to have everywhere but schools and government buildings. Just no EDC of weapons that are considered deadly weapons. I EDC a couple of 3 inch knifes and flashlight with long lanyard that can flail like a whip plus pepper spray. All legal and I have bullet proof back pack insert so when I run from the guys with a real weapon I have a half a chance. Do wish the laws were better then they are and I do support 2A.
I had to go overseas and was scared of all the unrest going on. Looked into cane swords and umbrella swords. Was just getting ready to buy something and talked to a co-worker coming back from the same location. He had his sword cane confiscated by TSA. He was told all TSA agents go through special training to spot all these gizmos. I ended up ordering a belt buckle knife but chicked out while I was packing.
I wouldn't call what you did "chicken out" as much as it was "wisening up"! None of these "HIDDEN WEAPON" items are a stranger to law enforcement, criminals and the folks that work at standard checkpoints or use metal detectors and x-ray scanners at events. All of the items are a dime a dozen and have been around for decades. The odds of being caught with one in a place ehere weapons are prohibited are better than you needing to use it there for defense. If you're lucky, you'll only be out the purchase price when it is taken away. Also, even if not in a situation where it would be confiscated, all but 1 or 2 of the items would increase your odds much at all from a determined attacker, especially one that takes you by surprise. Often heard of but seldom seen is the situation where there is a helpful reverse surprise from a defender within the few seconds of the first surprise from an attacker that involves a dime-store "hidden weapon". What matters most is what you do beforehand to avoid finding yourself in a location of suprise attack. Asides from that, keep calm when it happens, use your brain and also train before you need to place you life in the hands of a cheaply made tube of "Attack lipstick", "Hairbrush of Death" or "Cane Sword of Conan the Geriatric Barbarian". If you have a real situational need for a weapn... carry a real weapon. If one cam't legally do that where they live or themselves, then their #1 weapon (their brain) was not utilized properly and has already placed them at a vast disadvantage to people who chose to live in and amongst groups with much lower odds of needing cheesy "Hidden Weapons" to be in a crowd or tale a walk doen the road at night.
Beltsword (belt machete) - similar to beltknive, but with longer and partialy flexible blade, stored inside the belt. Deringer pistol, either in "backpocket", or in the sleeve holster. Hardened clothing to double armour as good as possible. Umbrella (as umbrella masked) sword and shield combo. Telescopic cane-spear. Flashbang, just to bridge over awkward silence during conversation in the dark. Bond-esque mousetrap with steel teath like device into the pocket, to great everyone who wants to "check" your pockets... and first and foremost - BRAIN. Heap of logic and grain of intuition, if possible supplied by third party (detective, contractor, ex-police or army...)

Most of the places I have been around the world, all of this stuff would get you a quick trip to prison. Using an improvised weapon is far different than carrying a concealed one.
Excellent question, David! This was one of my very first videos, so I didn't really know what I was doing yet. In all of my newer videos, we test out the weapons to make sure they are reliable. And, you often see weapons break or me mention negative things about them because I want to be as transparent as possible. That specific comb knife is a very inexpensive hidden weapon that could be used in a pinch during a self-defense situation, but wouldn't be a reliable or durable knife for typical knife usage. I'm not sure what the tang is on that knife, but it has a plastic handle, so I don't expect it to hold up very well for long term use. Thanks so much for watching and please check out my newer videos, because this one is not a great representation of our UA-cam channel. Have a great week!

You clearly know your stuff and your knowledge transfers seamlessly to be useful to the consumers. Great job and keep up the good work!! Thank you for sharing these demonstrations.
cool! do you have "ozark bear claws"? -they used to be popular and I'm not sure about their legality or if they'd be considered "daggers" because there are many many dagger and poker style blades available today...but these are two blades that slide into each other's handles and completely conceal the blades, looking like just a nice block of wood or antler. When pulled apart, you instantly have a knife ready to use in both hands...
Honestly, I'm not familiar with Ozark Bear Claws. We do sell a bunch of different claw weapons on KarateMart.com, but I'm not sure if they are similar to what you are describing. Thank you so much for watching!

Great suggestion! I considered making those a couple of years ago and even built a prototype, but I stopped because I realized that if they were leather, we would have to carry them in a bunch of different sizes. I may revisit this soon though because I think more people would wear leather belts. Thank you so much for the suggestion and for watching!
@@Karatemart You could get away with only two sizes or even just one size. Let the buyer shorten it to fit. You could even include a cheapo disposable hole punch (a 4" length of 3/16" inner diameter X 1/8" thick wall steel tube, cone-sharpened on the punch-end, and perhaps a small side cut to push out the punch rounds and maybe a 2" long X 3/16" diam bolt to screw into the hammer-end) with it and thick leather is easy to neatly cut with all kinds of shears and snips. And I have always found use for any excess leather I've cut off of too-long belts. Chances are that anyone buying a leather knife belt is going to already have the tools (snips and a hole punch) and wherewithall to custom fit the thing. Also, consider a knife belt buckle that the buyer can fit to whatever belt they want.
I think folks have forgotten just how effective a blunt force blow is. A sturdy cane with a brass or bronze head/handle is essentially a mace with no spikes… since the spikes primary purpose is to penetrate armor, and very few people are walking around in full plate then you really don’t need spikes… just a nice round heavy round shape is more than adequate and raises few suspicions aside from the fact that you’re walking with a cane.
I carry a firearm two spare mags a neck knife and a good folder and they are only last chance weapons, if I ever get into trouble so bad that I burn through 3 mags and have to use a blade it's not likely I would survive

My problem with every pen knife is that the removable cap is not designed to fit over the pen point end when the blade is exposed. This means that yoy can not put your full power behind a strike without driving the pen point end into the pAlm of your hand.
That’s a really excellent point Michael. There really isn’t much to hold onto with the pen knives, so you are limited with what you can do with them. Thanks so much for watching!
Here in Florida, the rules are clear, and the police and judges do not make all kinds of excuses in favor of the criminals. Where you are in this state, like what county or town matters, too. We absolutely have the right to defend our loved ones, ourselves, and our property. In fact, law enforcement sees it as making their jobs easier it ends up costing less in taxes to have to support these criminals. Credit cards are ctually pretty good weapons all by themselves with no enhancements.

There are some cool items here but the comment about the umbrella-stabber-unit, “we’ve got a lot of customers that just swear by them” makes me think of the customer(s) saying something like , “I’ve had to employ it half a dozen times in the last month and it only jammed once , with 11 kills in total” .

The length of the sword-umbrella and cane are illegal in a lot of States. In Colorado, the concealed-blade maximum is 3.5 inches.
Lol…no, I don’t, but I know a lot of great martial arts instructors who could! Thanks so much for watching!

@@Karatemart welcome!
Great video thanks. Great pen knife, lipstick knife, comb knife, credit card knife, key knife, hidden dog tag knife, belt knife, but all illegal even at home in California. No knives that appears like something else & no cane swords, umbrella swords. Throwing stars illegal too.
I agree Thomas! California has some pretty strict weapon laws! Thank you so much for watching!
Oregon is getting just as bad.
Yeah the most ideal urban weapons must look innocuous ☺️

Yeah see thats one of the things that sucks about cali. Love it though I surely do. But the cops and the billions of bi laws and shit is as bad as jersey and new york
Most of the places I have been around the world, all of this stuff would get you a quick trip to prison. Using an improvised weapon is far different than carrying a concealed one.
Broom Sticks are against the law in
Ca, they know what you can use them for,
hammers are next, then butter knives.
Everything in this world can be used as a weapon even a damn Plastic candy wrapper
Do you test these weapons for reliability? Is the comb knife durable, is it full tang?
Have a great week!

cool! do you have "ozark bear claws"? -they used to be popular and I'm not sure about their legality or if they'd be considered "daggers" because there are many many dagger and poker style blades available today...but these are two blades that slide into each other's handles and completely conceal the blades, looking like just a nice block of wood or antler. would be great if you had a knife belt made from leather.
@@pinkpriss that’s very true. I’ll definitely revisit the idea of making them again at some point. Thank you so much for the suggestion!
I completely agree! Standard canes are definitely one of the most underrated hidden weapons. Have an awesome week, my friend!

My problem with every pen knife is that the removable cap is not designed to fit over the pen point end when the blade is exposed. This means that yoy can not put your full power behind a strike without driving the pen point end into the pAlm of your hand.
