Finnish army is silly some times. I did my military service when I did have to, but couple years after that I got job in construction in Russia via finnish company. I worked in st. petersburg for 9 months and 2 weeks after I got back to Finland I got letter from army. "You are released from future military duties so I can't sell military secrets to Russia." Like, okay, I was private in army and normal construction job in Russia... I can sell so much secrets to Putin
I discovered this channel a minute ago because i was looking for finnish stereotypes on UA-cam and honestly this made me laugh So Hard. I'm finnish and i have online friends Who dont speak finnish and i've told them that learning finnish is almost impossible because they're most likely gonna learn the Basic "hei, minä olen *Insert name here* " and the literal language when everyone speaks In a dialect like "moro, mä oon *Insert name here* "
Learning kirjakieli for speach is silly. The best is when in a Finnish course, you have to have conversations with people who also don't speak any Finnish.
You sure you haven't been there already? That bed making is too spot on. The exact ways of making the "pinkka" are a heavily guarded secret and if that was to get out it'd be the end. Sergeant told me that when the tanks are burning and bullets are spent, it's the "pinkkas" that decide the winner.
I remember how my dad taught me and my brothers bed making and cloth-folding when I was a small girl, because otherwise the "alikkis" would shout at us upon seeing them. We did not know what an "alikki" was, but the threat worked :D And apparently my brothers did have an easier time in the military than the others.
@@msai257 Sounds like he had parenting all figured out. If I was an enemy of Finnish democracy I would not sleep easy fearing your brothers. To know pinkkas at a young age makes them all the more dangerous...
I understand that this is stand-up comedy. Still I can't help thinking that some of the things you said might indeed reflect your own thoughts. If I'm mistaken I apologise. Here's my 2 cents: - As you have applied for the Finnish citizenship and recieved it, you should be thankful and willing to give back - and do your duty like a man, just like the rest of us do. - There's nothing wrong being told what to do. It is probably character-building, especially in the modern, twisted society. - The age of the person giving the orders is irrelevant. In the military the person giving the orders is more trained and experienced than you. - It's great news if the Finnish military FINALLY restricts the tasks given to the persons of multiple citizenships. We all know the reason for this is Russia (and China), not Scotland.
Well: - "Do your duty like a man", man you live in XIX century? Lmao. - Being told what to do by a kid, is always annoying. Hence, the joking about it. No one says is wrong. - We don't live in war or in the Cold War dude, Russia couldn't give more fucks about Finnish military secrets, Finland is no North Korea or USA. -But in top of all, learn to take a joke. In no moment he said it was wrong, it was bad or anything of a complain. He just said it's not for him and he joke about some of the things that he couldn't do in the army. Cheers
@@totomaiden08 I do live in the XXI century - do you? There are no kids in the Finnish military. There are just the ones who are either more or less able than you. Perhaps you haven't followed the news lately? We are in a state of (cyber) war all the time. Russia is also willing and able to use other types of war any time, as it has shown time after time. Everybody should be aware of that by now. Russia is the most active and has the most spies of any country (also) in Finland. It's incredibly naive to believe otherwise. I got the joke. Please read the first line of my previous post again. But as we say in Finland - every joke has half of the truth in it. If you live in a country - especially one you were not born in - there are certain obligations you can't ignore just by saying "it's not for me". Being a man - or an adult - means, that sometimes you have to do things you wouldn't like to do. Having issues with one's masculinity doesn't change that.
You never fail to make me laugh! Keep it up man
Thanks!
"Aye, Nicola Sturgeon? Hiya pal it's Ray again... listen. I've finally got the recipe for official "Karjalanpiirakka"... should we talk business?"
If I could just get that pesky Lonkero recipe....

you wouldn't want to be at war with finland... ask the soviet union..
If you tried doing your routine in Finnish you would be bloody hilarious.

Touché.
I've also got a tip for making your boots shine real fast and how to use an AK variant as a golf club if needed!
