- In this Video, My Dad and I go to Clayton,Al and try to start this Freightliner Cab over Truck that has sat for 16yrs. As you know by now the struggles are real. It seems like every Cab Over we go to that the cab will not cooperate with us on tilting over.What fun would that be ?

Wiley, 2 brothers used to log here. They had a low investment operation. They bought a Freightliner just like the cabover..it had a set back front axle. They took off 5th wheel, put a single rank log bunk on it. They left the big air deflector on the roof. I asked 1 of them if the truck with big roof deflector had trouble getting into woods. He said best thing ever on a log truck..He said they pyramided the logs on it..when they meet a law car, lawman could not see the load. Enjoyed the video

Also when not used one Desiel motor for 6 months too and when warmer-0' F temperature s !

It has been setting a long time but when it ran, it did not sound that bad.
If someone was willing to invest some time and money into it, it just might be a good old truck yet.

Most all Freightliners will have a build sheet in the bottom of the glove box. year model, engine, trans, gears, ect. At least what it came from the factory with. Hope this helps.
