I decked trucks for 8 years and the saddles we used were higher or they bolted to the frame so that you didn't have to remove the front wheels. Never seen it done with a loader though we had a crane or a extenda boom wrecker. But It worked good job.
Wiley hard to run any piece of equipment when you have two different people telling you what to do and the little one just about lost some fingers at one point. I worked with cranes for over 30 years and those guys getting under the suspended loads made me pray each time they did it, I’ve had eight friends die working with cranes and those two fellows were very lucky I hope they have a safe trip home and I’ll pray they do. God bless Wiley.
I decided that the brackets should be attached first while the truck is on the ground and then the pull truck could come in at an angle allowing the loader to easily clear the sleeper cab. Dangerous as can be allowing them under the truck while suspended by chains.
Ya know having dealt with DOT my whole trucking career I’d be surprised if they made to the first Chicken Coop without a state Bull giving them a major ticket or out of service tag. You’re damn lucky nobody got hurt what with the language barrier and the goofy hand signals. Stay safe Wiley you’re a good guy for sure.
That type of transport is done everyday even is is illegal ,unsafe ,unprofessional they always make it to their destination (mexico, central America or whatever they try to go)
@@That08civicsi my only issue with the whole video was in using that old beat-up War out front end loader he needs to get him a forklift with a lift bar so he's not damaging those trucks anymore before he ships them out one here it off the sun visor in the front another one he smashed a windshield I'm pretty sure he damaged the back of the sleeper on at least one of them he needs to get a better system for loading
My dad hauled trucks like that in the 70s and I used to help him some we always used a wrecker for the deck sets. Some dealers had big a frames and hoist which made it easier too. Never seen it done like that but it worked.
Thou they spoke different languages everyone was on 1 accord, loved that!! I got nervous a couple of times for the dude in green shirt, literally standing in the line of fire but thank God it all worked itself out.
I like the fact seeing this video to see how to hook a truck on top on other trucks but am still watching im in 16:00 minutes in but its fine because this my first time watching a 1 hour video this is fun
That was very interesting video. Here in the UK, I’ve only seen trucks towed with a fixed bar between each unit. The hitch system looks to be better and proves everyday is a school day. I re-watched and enjoyed some of you and Jacob’s earlier videos. Thanks for keeping me entertained with interesting content.
I've been to Guatemala and wondered where each semi I came across had just come from. This then was very interesting to me. 👍👍👍 Greetings from Australia. 👋
One thing I practiced as a young boy is never to stand close to chains or cables when it's being used to lift or pull anything heavy I always have this fear that it's going to snap and hurt me pretty bad.
Awesome, I was about to comment on the young guy getting down and dirty but someone beat me to it. To all of you, good work and to let people know, that's hard slogging going on there. There was a language barrier but you all understood each other. That was cool.
Hey Wiley we deliver new trucks around Australia with that piggy back system but the trucks braking system is all interconnected like trailers behind the lead truck ,so considering how hard your DOT officers are will they get passed through the inspection point !!!!! As always exciting ,maybe Hank could make a guest appearance tell a bad joke and leave LOL Cheers Kym Adelaide
Wow!!!! I have done some sketchy stuff and i mean alot. Worked alot with language barriers. You all could have spend 2 minutes goinng over hands and fingers basics such as up down left right stop. If and when there are future operations or for viewers. Line trucks up tight as you can. Put the clamp on axel, lift, block take wheels off, lift and let the fifth wheel do the alignment. If the bucket is an issue bring the power truck in at an angle. At all times have the spotter where the operator can see them. Go over hand signals before starting.
these trucks involved in accidents in the usa end up in mexico, they are sold as spare parts, or the seller in mexico will create a whole new semi truck according to the clientes especifications.
Thanks for another great video. It was interesting and enjoyable. That was interesting Wiley. Never seen that done before. Took a lot of dangerous work. They are going a long ways with that rig. Oh boy. Thanks for showing us Wiley. The Iowa Farm Boy. Steve.
Wily, I have always been supportive and positive. Not this time and you don't need me to tell you. Just so many many mistakes and not learning from them is one of my biggest gripes
Wiley when I worked for a trucking co we had a metal beam with hooks at each end and with the windows down we would run it through the cab hook the Chain to it and then pick it up.
Great job getting it done with what you have access to. I was just curious if you ever got your work shop that you and hank was cleaning up. You have a great channel I always look forward to watching it.
Wily, you need to get a telehandler and 3 0r 4 10000 pound lifting straps with chain and hooks on one end. For what you can ruin not having some basic equip isnt worth it. Thinking of your safety. In the mid eighties, their were four brothers that used to come up my way and each take 2 busses back to guat. full of washer and dryers and used bicycles. Wonder if they are going to the Blue Beacon on the way? Good content. Happy 4th, Bill
You should get an air compressor and some air tools in your truck! Would sure make instances like this a lot easier 😅 Glad to see these trucks get a new home!
Wiley is what America WAS. Get it done, get paid. No excuses or bullshit. The safety sallys and negative nancys in the comments make me a little sad… their world is so perfect they’ve missed actually LIVING. Rock on Wiley!!
I worked in Charlotte NC at a place that rented flat beds these guys would come in and get old flat beds load junk trucks and go to the place ,they told us they will drive till there were no more place to go then they were home
Curious as to why they had to be stacked in a straight line? You had that whole open field. Place the loader on the right front and lift it. The loader is stood off from the tractor being lifted with no damage. Have the axle attachment put on the truck in the air not the fifth wheel. Then have them back under it from the left side at an angle just like they were making a sharp turn and bump the fifth wheel, You have the wonderful invention of a fifth wheel that can turn 360 seems to me like that would be an awesome thing to use. Just curious.
Such a great video . Dealing with different men from another country . Job well done . It would be interesting to know the conditions of the trucks and how many miles that was on them and also the year models as they were probably out dated here in the United States .
I wondered what the couplings to the fifth wheel looked like. Going piggy back all that way, those fellas have a lot of guts with dot all over. Good video, stay safe.
Wily we call this piggy backin in the Pacific Northwest. We use a much bigger front axle archer for the fifthwheels. We can move 3 at a time and no more.
From the sound of the motor on that truck that's doing the towing it sounds like that thing needs to be towed I don't know if it's going to make it or not😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂.
The easiest way to hook them up would be to back in at an angle instead of straight on., kind of jack knife them in. It would have opened up the side you had the loader on.
This is the most wreck less thing that I have ever seen! Why, why would you think that this is safe? Just for a few dollars? I always wondered if you were a dangerous person to work around and this just proves it! YOU ARE SO LUCKY THAT THE CHAIN DIDNT BREAK WHEN HE HAD HIS BODY UNDER THE TRUCK ! UNBELIEVABLE,
I load 4 tractor’s behind a freightliner Cab over here in Pensacola fl going to Guatemala I don’t know how they do it in the Scales was like a train super long
Two hard working young lads.
Those boys aren't lazy. That little one got right in there.
I have a lot of respect for those guys they work hard and never complain
I believe the safest was to put the little apparatus on the frame cross bar or axle then slide it on fithwheel. Instead of them being under it.
😅

That hitch system was definitely interesting. I didn’t know that’s how those worked.
The king pins they mounted to the front axle are on there. They will get brakes hooked up.
