ATTENTION KEN: I just got all your seasonings, the salsa, coffee, and BBQ sauce. So far I have tried your salsa which was delicious with a unique tomato forward deep smoky flavor and very nice heat level. What made me drop everything and send you a message immediately was I tasted your BBQ sauce..... HOLY MOLY was it amazing! You need to immediately stop doing what you are doing and put that magic sauce on some corn nuts!!!! I immediately am driving to the store to buy some plain ones to make my own, but you are sitting on a gold mine with that sauce! God bless you and the family! Keep up the great work. Looking forward to tasting the rest of the seasonings I got!
Thanks Matthew so much and glad you are enjoying
Great video; as always 👍🏻. Best wishes from UK 🇬🇧🇺🇸
Thanks Tim and be safe
@@CowboyKentRollins Thank you! You too
Thank you mr Rollins. Hope you have a good day
Thanks and you too
My grandkids watched this video with me !! And we are baking chocolate chip cookies tonight! Thanks Kent and Shannon!! God bless!!🙏
It's 5 am and my 8 y o granddaughter wanted to watch your chocolate chip video again after watching it on 7/20 LOL!! YOU'RE THE REAL DEAL MY FRIEND!!! God bless you and your Mrs!!🙏
Exactly, a good chocolate chip cookie should be a little crisp on the outside and warm, soft and gooey on the inside.
Those cookies look delicious!
That is right, we thank you for watching
I love chocolate chip!!!
My favorites they are
Awesome video and have a great day cowboy Kent.
Thanks and you as well
These do look good. Love chocolate chip cookies.
God bless all here.
And God bless you
Woohoo!!! It's Cowboy Kent time! 🤠
Your videos are always such a comfort to me when I’m stressed 🥲 thank you for your lovely cooking videos!! 🥰
Love the way you always honour those who keep us free and safe……
Amazing!! God bless you all
Thanks Arturo and God bless you
I am going to add that "don't beat the eggs right into the dough" tip to my bag of tricks! Thanks Kent
I burned up a handheld mixer on a batch of cookies once. It never occurred to me to bust out the DeWalt cordless drill...thanks for the tip!
Work good they do
@@CowboyKentRollins chocolate chip that's my favorite
Those look delicious Kent. I was expecting the special ingredient to be the Mesquite seasoning. Have a great day my friend!
Thanks Timothy and hope your safe and well my friend
Smoked cookies might work too
I’m a farmer here in the mid west, I’d gladly stop the tractor to taste test these lol 😆
or chilli 😂❤️🌹
If we're talking about putting spice in cookies, I wouldn't be adverse to some cinnamon or Mexican chocolate in my chocolate chip cookies.
I'm always amazed at what you can do with a Dutch oven but I would not have thought it was possible to bake cookies in one. Great video and thank you for all you do sir.
Those looked so good. I got such a big smile when little Major popped his head up in the the grass.❤
"MORE CHIPS" Doin the cookie dance here
Can never have to many
Thank you Cowboy Kent 🤠👍🍪🍪🍪
Thank you Cowboy Kent!
Awesome recipe! One of the things I learned early from Mom is keeping the heat lower and pulling them when they just start getting golden. Very impressive heat control on the dutch oven.
Thanks David
Hi from Syracuse NY everyone thank you for sharing your adventures in cooking
The 3 rules are absolutely correct and important. I've made cookies for years, and I can't agree more.
And, as vanilla is originally from the Mexico area, can't agree more about it, too. Been using Mexican vanilla for years.😁👍
Makes for good baking it does
Absolutely right. Mexico is where vanilla is from (it is...!) When they first took it to Madagascar it didn't produce fruit. Why? 'Cause it's only fertilised by one type of insect - which lives in Mexico, not Madagascar. Whoops!
@@danielforde-pogson I genuinely like the flavour best. Not everything, just because it's native to the area, is good. Mexican vanilla is.
@@paulherman5822 Can't argue with that. It's funny though how people think Madagascan is the best. Mexican's much harder to find here in England. Enjoy!
I hugged my pup!
Oh good gravy those are looking fine!! Why yes the family and me will be making these this weekend!!
Hope you enjoy
...and I thought I have seen everything. Great recipe.
Thanks for watching
Another great video! Thanks for sharing!
Certified Gold!!!!!
Great show imagine cookies made in a Dutch oven while camping now I know how it is done. Thanks.
Chocolate chip cookies are my favorite.
This recipe is similar to my chocolate chip cookies except I use dark brown sugar… it is a wonderful rich cookie. Sometimes I will add some nuts or oatmeal but not all the time! I sure did want to reach in to my computer and take at least 3 of your cookies! Enjoyed watching you cook over the coals. Gale Flowers 🌸
Every video I watch from you is just GOLD my friend... Food always looks so good
The fire looked so lovely ... its winter down here so I wouldn't mind a nice warm fire
Love them thin and crispy
Hello from VA......i just love to hear you talk. love your videos and recipes.
Thanks so much
Watching you takes me back to when I was 6-10 years old. Watching my Great Aunt, and my Great Great Aunt Cook and working out in the garden on my mom's side family. Very wholesome, very fun, and a joy to watch. Here I am now 25, and do a lot of cooking, and I enjoy cooking for my friends and family. That's what cooking is all about have a good time and feed the ones you care for
Needed chopped walnuts!!! Yum!!!
Thanks for baking in that heat for us. Using Mexican vanilla makes me want to drizzle in some Kahlua now. Can’t wait to try on the campfire. Really like the salted caramel idea.
Hope you enjoy
Ain't much better than a nice soft chocolate chip cookie. Thanks for sharing this super-easy recipe. It's a winner.

You guys are legends. Much love from Australia 🇦🇺
Thanks so much for watching
I know I'm late to the hoedown on this one but I'm coming off a two year stricked weight loss and medical diet in a couple weeks, and am now stocking up on recipes for all the good stuff I've been missing out on in that time. As a Texan I especially like recipes with southern charm to them so from the bottom of both my heart and my stomach thank you so much for sharing this video and so many others. Your channel is gonna have the UA-cam admins after me for breaking the like button!!😁
We thank you so much for watching
My family and I truly love your you and your beautiful family wish we could all be similar. Thank you
Kent and family have a great day have fun thanks from Oklahoma
Ghirardelli is the best chocolate in the US, but Kent, you know we can't make chocolate chip cookies here in Texas without some pecans. Great video, thank you
Yummy Pecans. HUGS and GOD bless
@@SkywatcherSandra Thank you for making my day.
Pecans taste better in brownies tho..
yes pecans. my mother used black walnuts in her choc. chip cookies. they were the best too.but my cooks now dont use black walnuts in their baked goods. they are missing out.
@@carolhaggard700 You're right, you don't see them anymore. I was never fond of them until a few years ago when I made a mistake ordering my son's birthday cake and wound up with an Italian cream cake with black walnuts. It's so delicious we order it every year now.
Cookie's cookies. I add chopped walnuts to my dough. I also use the parchment. Been known to make 8+ dozen during Christmas time. Thanks for the video. Jon
I saw some of your accessories at Atwoods farm and ranch supply so cool mr Kent!
Good stores they are, thanks for watching
The salted caramel syrup is a nice touch! Love the combination of chocolate and caramel.

Ever since Gus pulled them biscuits out of the camp oven on Lonesome Dove I've been fascinated with this type of cooking, now I'm watching it and when it gets cooler I'm a gonna try it! Thank you Mrs Shannon & Mr. Kent!

You're welcome!
You are so right about that hard cookie! 🙂
The Cowboy ain't got no electric range, he ain't got no gas range, he's got the open range!!!!
Soft and chewy 👍 Hard to beat good old Tollhouse cookies !
You got that right!
Another great video. Also learned how to regulate the heat of a Dutch oven. Thanks for teaching me that.
Yet another great recipe. My husband loves chocochip cookies. He also loves oatmeal cookies. So I add 2 to 3 cups of oats to my chocochip cookie recipe along with pecans. (and sometimes raisins too), They're tasty and healthy for him too.
Wow , now your talking, God Bless guys your amazing, I’m hungry 🤩
Thanks David and God bless you
Your videos are awesome Kent! Watching here from Kansas City, MO.
But originally from Kansas! Grew up in small farm towns, and that said - would you ever make Bierocks? I feel like that could be a great recipe on here!
I will take a look
great video, have blessed week
Kent that was SO funny with the power drill and the mixer!🤣
Works well it does
These look great! Obviously this isn't going to be possible if you're out camping, but, if you want the cookies to be a little thicker and gooey in the middle, freeze the dough for an hour before cooking
I was feeling a bit down today, until you whipped out that drill with a beater in the chuck... big smile immediately materialized on my face. You're the best Kent. I wish I could have those cookies, but I'm diabetic. It was still fun to watch you in action! Glad to see that the "tasters" didn't get any of that chocolate, many are unaware of the grave consequences for them.
I love chocolate chip cookies
We made biscuits in the Dutch oven at little britches finals. Best breakfast ever. Got to try cookies.
Those cookies look so good, I gotta try the recipe tomorrow!
Hope you enjoy
Kent you are the most authentic cowboy i ever knew, great style, wonderfully presentation, educational and above all....,GOD is very proud of you as iam
Thank you for your positivity, kindness, and all of these tips and delicious recipes.
I've never done cookies in the Dutch Oven, however I'm going to try a Cheesecake in a few weeks for my son's birthday.
Ive tried countless recipes for CC cookies, and i finally found the one that i fell in love with. I use the king arthur baking blog recipe that uses vinegar and baking soda for leavening (no baking powder) and along with vanilla a tiny bit of almond flavoring (1/4th tsp) as well. I use same brand of chocolate but always do semi sweet.
Yours are the perfect consistency though. They need to be of medium thickness so they have crispy buttery edges but nice and soft in the middle.
Almond extract is like crack! It’s good in everything!
hugssss
“Don’t be talkin bout my chickens like that “ doggone right! love y’all!
Love the mixer, thats how I mixed drywall hot mud years ago doing home repairs.
Right on!
@@CowboyKentRollins For the record, chocolate chip cookies are the only dessert I can't pass up.
Kent, Shannon and all the pups, I stubbled upon y'alls channel a few days ago and have been hooked ever since. I really enjoy the recipes and the videos. Thank y'all again for sharing honest to goodness content. Lots of love form your new friend from Rougemont,NC. Stay safe and God bless.
Great recipe!! Looking forward to seeing Kent and Shannon in Kidron Ohio tomorrow! Our seven year old daughter absolutely loves to watch Cowboy Kent's videos, this will be a huge birthday surprise for her.
Well I tried your recipe last night.
And the cookies came out fantastic and delicious.
Here's a helpful hint for everybody.
I use burger spacing papers
between the cookies. Even after cooling there was a tendency for them to stick together. This prevents that and the papers are a perfect size.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
So glad you enjoyed
Thank you Kent, God bless❤
Look so delicious.
The recipe for Nestle’s Toll House Cookies is right on the back of the chocolate chip bag.....best recipe there is!👍👍
Darn... Because this is a family show.... Those cookies looked amazing....Ken ,Shan, and the pups...God bless and I'll she you guys next episode.
Thanks James for watching and God bless you as well
Making these for Fathers Day 😋
You are indeed a KING of the Dutch Oven!! Thanks for the tips!
Great video! Thanks for sharing.
