Congratulations Tom and Melissa on your UA-cam award! After baking cookies for over 55 years you've taught me how to make perfect cookies! Your idea of freezing the cookie balls before baking gave me an idea to gift frozen cookie balls as gifts to my busy family. After working, making dinner, taking care of children, they can easily bake a yummy snack.
That's a wonderful gift idea and I would think your family would be delighted with a cookie stash in the freezer! We really appreciate that you are joining us at the table and we wish you a very Merry Christmas!
We have so many kind people who have shared great recipes with us over the years. And it's nice to think of them when we make their recipe, too. Thank you so much for watching our channel. Hope you are having a very nice day!
A great idea to freeze cookies ready to bake and just take out what you want to eat. I have been buying Pillsbury Chocolate Chip Cookies that you can eat the cookie dough and sometimes just eat one of the cookie dough and it is so good. I am going to have to make some cookies and freeze them so I can take out one or two and eat them. There is nothing better than a hot cookie. I loved the lemon crinkle cookies you made. I have printed off both recipes and I am going to have to make them. I sure do not need to make an entire batch of cookies and freezing them ready to bake is a great idea for me. I am always wanting just a little something sweet. LOL I love sweets, I grew up in a home that my mother always had a homemade dessert, nothing box mix, she was a scratch baker, just like me.
You have no idea how badly I wanted to reach thru the tv & grab 1-2 of those dough balls. I'm definitely gonna try your recipe. You two are so good together & I love the warm homey friendliness. So glad I stumbled on your channel...love it
I baked these this evening. They may very well be the best chocolate chip cookies I have ever eaten. Every recipe you have posted that I have tried has been incredibly good. I'm so glad I found your channel!
Most chocolate chip cookie recipes call for all butter, no shortening. Many years ago Mom started using equal amounts of butter and Crisco. That combination makes the cookies so much better than all butter.
Not my mom, I had to start cooking at around 7 or 8 years old, I had to do full meals for the whole family. The only cookies made was with permission only or serve the consequences. I had to do it all clothes, meals, feeding animals. I am a very good baker ( I’m not boasting , please don’t think I am) with many cakes done over the years. My grandma was the person in my life that showed me how to cook.😊
You most likely are not American because I have not heard of an American child having all those responsibilities at such a young age. You must be amazing. I'm happy your grandmother was there for you.
LoL, I’m as American as American can be. I lived it and Just because you have never herd of it does not mean that it’s not happening right here in America. I can tell you I had very strict parents, My dad a Southern Baptist deacon my mom worked inventory all over the state and was a school teacher. Thank you for the compliment for my grandma she was an angel and I’m so happy I learned so much from her.
Thank you so much for sharing your recipe. I gave up making chocolate chip cookies a few years ago because they always came out FLAT. Was truly disappointed until I found yours! This is what I'll make from now on! Thank you!
Hi Tom and Melissa I have tried to make different kind of recipes and chocolate chip cookies. Maybe for the last 20 years I tried different because I don’t like flat. Cookies I try your recipe a oh my Lord my Lord great taste soft around the edge. They are crunchy, oh my I do not know how to explain anymore. They are awesome cookies. I will keep your recipe forever and I will pass it on thank you so much
I love all your t-shirts but this one is especially fun. I’m going to make one on my silhouette machine for my daughter-in-law who is also left handed. Thank you for all your recipes. Look forward to the new ones you put out each week. Blessings to you both.
Thank you so much for being at the table with us. I used to use a Silhouette machine but I'm now using a Cricut. They are so much fun to use for creative projects. It has totally changed the way I scrapbook! I'm sure your DIL will love the shirt too! It's great that you are making your own shirts. I've not invested in the heat press - it's tempting - but I can't keep up with the hobbies I have now so it's best for me to not start a new one. Unless. .😊 .
Your chocolate chip cookies look delicious I’m going to try making them. Thank you Melissa for always adding the recipe for us. So happy I stumbled across your UA-cam channel I subscribe so I don’t miss any great recipes.
My Mom took left over homemade biscuits and made biscuit brownies for after school snack. I hate brownies but my siblings & all our friends thought they were the bomb.

I made these yesterday and they're really good. I laid out the butter and meant to cut one in half and forgot but they were still my favorite chocolate chip cookie. So I guess you can never have too much butter. I'm also a KY girl and love to bake, just shared your site with friends.
Chocolate chip cookies are thing king of cookies. If I’m feeling adventurous, I’ll add M&Ms or another candy. If I’m in a chocolate mood, I’ll do triple chocolate cookies… add cocoa powder and melted chocolate chunks Mix the powder in with the flour and sugar. Add in the melted chocolate chunks. Finally add the chocolate chips
chocolate chip cookies! yum! try taking a semi-sweet baking bar, chopping it up and dumping it in there! the chocolate melts into the cookie!!! you won't be disappointed!!
I loved your shirt,Tom. I am right handed but I can also use my left hand equally well. Thank you Melissa for always posting the recipes. The two of you really complement each other.❤❤
Try Ghirardelli’s chocolate chips. They are the best. I don’t care for milk chocolate chips unless they are Ghirardelli’s. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised. My recipe also uses both shortening and butter. Recipe also calls for bread flour. Your cookies look delicious. Guess what I’m baking today.
Tom & Melissa, I just about snatched a couple of raw cookie doughs off your cookie sheet for myself! Never knew freezing would prevent flattening. Adding this vid to my "Recipes" compilation on YT. Thank you for sharing. God bless.
Lol....Your funny ......They look yummy!!!!!! That's the best part eating while scooping!!!!!! LOL... Great idea for freezing them before you bake them!!!!
I just made your chocolate chip cookies and put then I the freezer to freeze, can't wait to bake a few later .I think 1 Batch made me 27.Thanks for recipe
We love that you've made them. It's so nice to be able to take them out of the freezer when you want one nice and warm and freshly baked (but my friend always tells me we need one in each hand!). Thanks so much for watching our channel. We really appreciate it.
You are so welcome! It's really not hard - do NOT be intimidated! Take it one step at a time and before you know it, your house is going to smell like cookies! Enjoy!
All my son ever wants for Christmas is home made chocchip cookies. Starting the last wk of NOV I bake a batch every wk & freeze them. This yr I will try your recipe & see if notices the difference. I could almost smell your cookies as you bit into one. You really need to stop teasing us Mr Tom 😊
We are so alike I tell ya! Lol. The cookie dough is our hardest thing of baking these cookies to keep our spoon out of to not eat before baking! SO……why miss out on “ a good thing”!! Right?! I love your chocolate chip cookie recipe Tom! I really do have “smellaphone “, & have to say your kitchen had the best aroma! ☺️. Mmmmmmm!!! I love y’all, & thankful for your channel so I can hang out with the best of the best! I already gained 5 pounds during this video! Lol. Scrumptious cookies Tom & Melissa! God bless! Love, hugs, & prayers! (It’s hard to leave “ your table”! 🥰). Deb.

Hi Tom and Melissa! Your recipe for Chocolate Chip Cookies looks delicious 😋 Of course I’m going to make this 😊I love a kind of crunchy chocolate chip cookie so I’ll bake them a little bit longer but my husband likes a soft cookie so I’ll make both kinds. Thank you for sharing your recipes with us and as always I appreciate and thank you! ❤❤
My son would tear those cookies up! I have a cookie recipe that I make and my son is always asking me to make those cookies. I will have to try this cookie recipe looks yummy!
My family doesn’t like the milk chocolate but semi sweet and even dark chocolate. I always used part crisco because they always seem to come out perfect. I have recently found another recipe that uses all butter but has the same texture.
Raw cookie dough is a right of passage when you're a kid. I was shocked years ago when everybody started saying not to eat it. I'm going to admit I never listened to that PSA. Maybe I have an iron gut, but I never got hurt from it. I can see with the raw egg there's the possibility of Salmonella, but I'm willing to take the chance
I’m sure you’re not the only one who uses their fingers. I know I do that!! Guilty 🙋🏼♀️ right here of eating raw cookie dough it’s so yummy and tempting. Haha
Love the shirt, fellow lefty!! I can't wait to try this recipe! Do you have a snickerdoodle cookie recipe you would share? I have not found one we really like, and it's my husband's favorite cookie. Thank you for your videos!
Really silly question: Do you use salted or unsalted butter in your baking recipes? I see that for this recipe, you've added salt. Thanks for the detailed narratives of your great recipes; it's very much appreciated. I recently made the chili dog recipe & it was awesome!!
YOU SHOULD TRY THESE "Moose Farts Ingredients: 1 can sweetened condensed milk (300 ml Canada, 14 oz US) 1/4 cup melted butter 1 tsp vanilla extract 1 1/2 cups dried coconut (fine or medium cut) 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips Additional graham crumbs for rolling the cookie balls. I make any cookie batter way ahead of when I'm baking them. I put the entire bowl of batter in the fridge before baking for at least 1 hour or more.
This Chocolate Chip Cookies recipe looks so delicious 😋 Mr. Tom. They happen to be my all-time favorite Cookies to eat.
Classic favorite can't go wrong with chocolate chip cookies 😋

I just love your channel. Everything you make comes out great. Tom is so funny.
Most chocolate chip cookie recipes call for all butter, no shortening. Many years ago Mom started using equal amounts of butter and Crisco. That combination makes the cookies so much better than all butter.
Why did I never think about making and freezing them. What a great idea
I only refrigorate my dough. Usually overnight. And my cookies stay nice and thick like that.😊
Not my mom, I had to start cooking at around 7 or 8 years old, I had to do full meals for the whole family. The only cookies made was with permission only or serve the consequences. You Should Always Ask Melissa If She Wants the first bite 😊
Really silly question: Do you use salted or unsalted butter in your baking recipes? I see that for this recipe, you've added salt. Thanks for the detailed narratives of your great recipes; it's very much appreciated. I recently made the chili dog recipe & it was awesome!!

Yeah, I don't remember my mom ever baking any. But I know my grandmother always. Did she made homemade everything?❤
This isn’t fair! I want a cookie, too! They look so good I can almost smell them!
I just got a new ninja oven, and I live alone I am going to make these to try my oven.

This is my recipe as well!
It's such a great recipe, isn't it!!!! Thank you so much for watching. We really appreciate it.
Yummy y tom a melissa
I like to also add butterscotch chips
😊😊😊❤
Hi Tom and Melissa, Do you use unsalted or salted butter on all the recipes?
I mash in the middle of each cookie a half pecan then bake
I’m gifted as well. I’m left-handed.
Love it! Even though I'm right-handed! Tom is third generation of left handers! Thanks so much for watching our channel. We really do appreciate it.
Can I replace the shortening cristo for something else? Regular butter?
Question: Do you pack the brown sugar?
There was a man who was a scraper like you but the difference was he would lick his fingers kind of too close to the microphone so with a slurp slurp here there a smack and even if l wanted to make the recipe l couldn't handle the acoustics. I'm so glad you refrain from licking fingers. LOL
My first two daughters are left handed. They wanted their little sister to be left handed too. She is right handed.
How long do you bake from frozen state?
