    I was looking for a good used laptop and the ThinkPad T480s caught my eye and I saw an affordable one. Then I looked some more and found a couple of deals that could be said to be even better. But as that dawned on me, I felt a tug in my heart. I couldn't let go of the ThinkPad. The look speaks to me. It looks so likeable. I'm gonna go after it even though it might not be as good a deal objectively.

      thinkpads are great laptops for school, work and gaming (depends if you get if configured with a GTX card). Also, if you take care of them they last for at 5 years. Make sure you get a ThinkPad that’s upgradable and you can do it on your own (easy to upgrade memory and hard drive)

    Just so you know, the Finger Print Reader is not an old style swipe one. These don't require you to "swipe" your finger down. Just put your finger on and then lift it off, even if only for half a second, that's all it needs to read your fingerprint. 7:24

    I went for the T480 just for the bigger battery combo, great for long days at uni running 6+ hours of intensive Autodesk.

    I really appreciate your videos. But I would like to know how you spent the battery exactly because your battery results on laptops are always worse than other reviewers say (not just 480s). Moreover, I noticed you had a defective unit of L480, and now this one. What's up with that? Moving mouse cursor, and not responding the left click on the trackpad are not normal. you shouldn't review those as flaws of the laptops. I think you need to get a replacement before reviewing so that you can make more objective reviews.

    I don't understand this video!!! I just got my new T480s and the battery last A LOT more! Not like said on this review!
    From 100% to 15% it lasted 10 hours, WiFi always on, screen at 70% brightness, web browsing, document editing, youtube and some video watching.
    Also recharge times are a LOT FASTER that shown on this video! From 70% to 100% it took me around 30 minutes, on this video it took over 90 minutes!!
    From 15% to 100% on this video it took two and a half hours!!! For me it took just over one hour!!!!
    Very strange... something is not right with you or your laptop!

    • @bjtechnewshd
      @bjtechnewshd  5 років тому

      Please remember that I ran a battery test three times to drain the battery life of the laptop from out-of--the-box before I took it home and did a real life battery test. Of course the battery life is going to be amazing out-of-the-box. Eventually, you will see it. Not now, but you wait. Please come back in a month and report if the battery life is what you stated, but continue to use it the way you stated within your comment. Thanks for watching.

    you called its expensive and throughout this video you kept on praising this piece of machine which is actually one of the best i have used.
    About the mouse pointer running through... u can just get that fixed with a diver update (which you must be knowing it already)
    For god sake, make sure you get a really good product for testing and making such kind of video... like you said SD card reader doesnt work on T480... i have came across at least 4 of them which and none of them had this kind of issue which you kept saying
    Finally, dude you kept saying its expensive... you get what you pay for...so for good piece of tech, you definitely need to pay higher than cheap quality stuff
