Sena SRL 3 Shoei Neotec 3 Installation

- OK today we installed the new SENA SRL 3 into The New Shoei Neotec 3 "Grasp" Helmet.
I can report the AUDIO music wise and tel wise is a big improvement and a lot better quality then the SRL 2 was.The helmet is very comfy and although a bit fiddly with the new mid positioned visor lift tab I rode 200 miles and Im starting to get used to it.The SRL was purchased with my Shoe Neotec from John Wakefield at Bargain Biker Brands see link below.

Great KnowHow Clip - Thank you very much. I'm planning on getting the SRL-03 but the only thing I don't want to go back to is the Boom Mics. So, I need to see if Sena or someone else produces these with the correct impedance spec ( and connector, if not, a rewire job I guess) Thanks again
Thanks remember you can use the full face mic that comes with t depends on your helmet? As you can see i use the boom now i tried the flu face but didn't work out as good for me as i have a additional mic for my waffling on the channel...

hi the hidden full face mic idea may work if your just using the Sena but i used it for vlogging. i have now set up a rode lab mic hidden in the cheek pad and put the sena boom mic on for phone calls and if i ever use intercom. i keep trying different set ups nobody sells/makes what i need lol

Hi yes I think the sound is much better even for a deaf old git like me. No it does sound more clear I don't use the mesh as im videoing most of the time so i tend to not chat to the other riders.
How on earth does the cheek pad plastic get around the power cables? I can push it down against the side of the helment and make a nasty bend in the cable, But that doesn't feel right.

@@nord3153 As am I. After an hour of frustrated swearing, I am making an additional cut in the plastic clip to accomodate the cable. I cannot see any other way of working around this issue.
@@iangoodwin345 I managed to get it done without having to cut or destroy anything, think I watched some other videos where you could see it a little more closely
,@@nord3153, one side went in very smoothly, but the other side just would not cooperate. Cut a small section of the plastic clips to fit around the cable. Looks fine and works ok. Best wishes for your riding endeavors!
