Have you got a review video on this in comparison to the SRL or SRL2 version prior to the Mesh? I have the SRL on Neotec2 in 2020 am I’m curious if it’s any better? What the quality of sound is on the new one? Better connectivity with the mesh? Even if you don’t have a video, could you please share some feedback even as a reply? Thanks in advance
First off. Thanks a lot for checking out my video. I hope you found it helpful. I did another video about the Sena talking a little bit about the practical uses and how I like it so here’s the link to that. ua-cam.com/video/Pnd2pLLufUI/v-deo.html
The voice commands are good and the Harman Kardon speakers are really good, clear and loud. I wear ear plugs and I can still hear calls and music clearly. I haven’t used the mesh yet because I don’t ride with more than 3-5 people at a time. The mesh can connect I believe up to 25 riders.
@@Texas2Tires yes. Sorry, forgot to mention, thanks for the installing video, I watched it all, handy to see the differences with the previous model, the one I have. I’ll check out the other video you gave me a link to..
@@Texas2Tires thanks, good to hear re sound quality. I don’t do more than 2-3 mesh intercom either, it’s just that it’s called mesh as model I think. I’m after better sound and I think it uses wifi or something to talk to the app. I might be wrong there. Mid research now. So thanks for all the info.
Hello I've purchased the SRL MESH to the end winter in sold, i have checked your video for see and how do the installation of my new SRL MESH and see where is the position of antennas on the helmet et how to install the antennas on the helmet this is my first time that i install speakers on a helmet and i cannot to do the difference with a other type speaker helmet and i never made configuration and never paired my bluetooth speakers with my phone and i have never use this system before i had had always of Helmets without speakers Sorry, the only thing i can tell you, the seller told me this is the best speaker that i sell for your Noetec 2 Note: I do a translate for my text with Google Traduction my Speak Language is French Only Thanks You Again for your Great Vidéo Explications!!! 👏👏👍👍
Should have come with the helmet. If you live close to a dealer, you could ask them as they probably have a bunch laying around. Or you could just use a plastic knife or something dull and thin that won’t scratch your helmet.
Not sure. But my friend and I were using it on the highway. I got off an exit to go home and he kept going. I could still see him as the connection broke down. Maybe a 1,000 feet????
Forget if they have a video or not. I remember I did it based on the instructions, which I didn’t read all the way through and ended up messing a step up. Had to go back and redo it. However again have to be patient, it can be done.
Thanks for watching, subscribing and commenting. I appreciate it. I really like the SENA Mesh. Supposedly the older models weren’t as good, but these new speakers are really good. I use it to take phone calls, listen to music, get voice directions from google maps and send text messages using SIRI. I’ve only used it as a blue tooth communication device with another rider a couple of times because I ride alone quite a bit and/or my buddies don’t have a communication device or it’s a different brand like Cardo. At this point, I can’t imagine not having one. Safe journeys.
Thanks for the question. From what I saw on the internet, the schuberth sc2 was developed by SENA, so it should be able to communicate with other SENA products. However, you should double check with the retailer you plan on buying it from.
The service tool is not used properly to remove the side intercom cover. It is slid under the other side of the cover while you lift the lock lever with your finger. In that way it just pops out. It’s explained in the Shoei’s “Instructions for use” manual. Also, you don’t even need the service tool to lift the battery cover. Again check the manual.
Thank you for the comment and suggestion. Off camera I followed the directions, however the plastic button on the battery cover I could not get it to depress with my finger or fingernail so I had to use the tool same thing on the side pieces. They wouldn’t come off as instructed. I had to muscle them off with the tool. In the end, I got the job done and Sena installed. Thanks for checking out the video, safe journeys!
You need to redo this video rather than put your viewers through your mistakes and call it s day. I didn't finish watching this because it was incomplete. Granted, we all make mistakes but this is your channel and you get to do a redo in order to respect your viewers. You give respect... you get respect. Thanks.
Thanks for watching and commenting. All the important parts of how you take apart the helmet and install everything was done correctly. Unfortunately the antennas were not installed correctly, but if you saw later in the video I included the directions of how to install the antennas correctly, which was only a small part of the overall install. Sorry you weren't satisfied with the video. These videos take a lot of my time to shoot and edit, which takes time away from my family and real job. It's a hobby for me, so I can't make everything perfect or devote too much time. Perhaps in the future if the channel actually makes money from google ads or has sponsorships, then I could certainly justify spending more time on this hobby. Thanks again for watching and commenting, I do appreciate suggestions and constructive criticisms.
@@handibag9219Thanks for the question and comment. Interesting, I can't find the right video either. I know I filmed the correction and showed the visuals from the manual. I'm guessing I snuck it into another video or I just never ended up editing and publishing. Apologies for that. Anyway, in case you haven't already downloaded the Quick Start Guide from Sena, here is the link: www.sena.com/eu-en/product/srl-mesh/documents This is where I should have started to begin with. The visual #11 on page 5 shows how the antennas are supposed to be properly inserted. I hope that helps.
@@handibag9219 Update, I just found where I inserted that correction. It was in the video itself at the 7:35 mark. I added it to the video later. Hope that description in the video is enough??? Let me know if you have further question.
All the song is great. However for some reason with my earplugs in, music isn’t loud enough. I can hear it, with a bit of wind noise I can no longer hear it. Oddly other sound like phone calls come through quite nicely even with wind noise.
@@Texas2Tires The voice commands are good and the Harman Kardon speakers are really good, clear and loud. I wear ear plugs and I can still hear calls and music clearly.
Oh that’s a shame. I’ve been in the rain a couple times and I know my friend that rides long distance has been caught in rain storms a number of times without issue. Guessing your unit was defective or you were in some serious rain for extended periods of time. Did SENA replace it or help you out?
@@Texas2Tires Hi , we had 2 units both died within 24 hours of each other, $1200 Australian to replace. Just a mild amount of rain for a couple of hours, no help or advice from Sena, they were out of warranty but no repair options available. We were about to upgrade to the Shoei neotec 3 with the new Sena unit but after the lack of response from Sena etc I doubt we will go the Shoei Sena route Cheers
@@horatio8764 Well that really sucks!!! Sorry that happened and that SENA wasn't of any assistance. I see that there is mention of them being water resistant, but not waterproof. I saw the resistance mentioned on some sites that sell it, but it is not mentioned on SENA's site nor could I find any mention of it being water resistant in the manual. That's really odd, because you'd think it would be a no brainer to make it water resistant as many riders get caught in the rain. Not to mention the regions where it rains a lot like the UK or Northwest U.S. Perhaps a switch to Cardo or another brand for you?

Given the 750$ for the helmet and another almost 400$ for the Sena, better instructions WITH photos should be in the box.
