0.5-0.7 m choppy waters is almost not noticed in this 5.8m boat. It is possible to put a glass full with liquid next to you and it will not spill anything.
Great concept! any chance of seeing this boat handle small chop that most people experience in this size boat ie 0.5 metre swell/chop/ confused waters, like a bar crossing? Thanks.
Beautiful design Anders! I am a hydrofoil enthusiast and working on converting my 13ft Boston whaler. Is this still a 20HP? May I ask what pitch prop you are using?
Hello, the boat you can see on the youtube is a reference sample in our development process and is not for sale at the moment. However, later this year, if our current development is following plan I would be prepared to discuss a sale of this boat. If you are interested to fund a one-off build of a new copy of the boat incl new engine, please let me know. Best Regards // Björn Ljungdahl, CEO Elektrofoil AB, bjorn@elektrofoil.se
***** Very interesting i have been interested in hydrofoils all my life and wondering why they are not just every where.... a hydrofoil cuts all the drag well most of it...Marko have checked out the flying hover craft that is my next project
when operating hydrofoils they call it flying when the hull is out of the water and up on its foils. the foils are like wings on an airplane. so yes it is Exactly flying, flying from lift from the water, not the air like in the case of an airplane.
richystar2001 fish would hear and sense a boat coming. Remember sound travels very easily through water. And how is your logic different from current propellers anyway?
Really? You invented the Hydrofoil? Who are you kidding! Yeah maybe you might have made a improvement but you sure didn't invent it. I guess the key word here is "self-stabilizing"..... big deal.
It performs extremely well in waves. That is a key use case for this. It actually does fly over most waves. The ride is very smooth and confortable.

The foils are completely retractable into the hull. You can tow the boat on a ordinary trailer.
What is the gain in efficiency?

How did the build turn out?
Any gain in speed or reduction in fuel consumption would be curious to know about. Looks good.
The fuel consumption is reduced by 75% :-)
So before: 4 litres, after: 1 litre???
Sounds too good to be true!
@@anderstornqvist8528 Proof?
Cool, how does it perform in waves
like a boat out of water. love it guys.
how much would one cost?
It makes virtually no wake when its up
That looks pretty fun :)
Candela makes a great all electric hydrofoil with a fifty mile range
I wonder what eventually happened with Anders & foiltwister
"no wake zone" my ass! *drives by at 50 mph*
By 75%? Site says 25%...
I want this boat, how much will it cost with this engine and delivery to Russia?

Website doesn't work. Gone out of business? Any patents or tech for sale?
See www.mantaraycraft.se/
Good. Now try it in huge wave
awesome!!!!!!! hows the ride? Looks smooth : )
The foil needs to be retractable how are you going to tow the boat with a trailer?
that is SO WAAAYYY COOL
very cool is that a rope hanging off the bow
That "rope" measures the angle of the boat and adjusts the hydrofoils to keep boat stable.

***** does it have a scientific name by any chance. This is the first time I've seen it on hydrofoils
mazin2892 I don't know more about it. I just saw it explained in company's website.
It's not throwing a wake
That is what I really want
It's electric?!?
Fire the cameraman....
Có chiếc này về chạy thử nhỉ?
Go home boat, you're drunk!
nice.. i don't know what to say!
Efficiency.
Do not like a-symetricality
not exactly flying..

no one mentions the fish shredding ability of this eco vessel. It's like raking the surface of the lake with a large sickle...slicing fish into sushi.

Definitely not electric lol
