In the U.S.(fl) there is limited variety of pessary to a small suitcase container 5 styles and that's it. Also. Other restrictions to a urogyn . Also now there is a back call to get a pessary because the dr are requiring a 3 month new pessary. Other problem is getting an appt with a dr and a PT. Close to, at least, 2 months wait. Also, ER refuses to get a gyn dr to work with you.
Thank you for the info on pessary.

Very informative video. I have stage 2 cystocele and rectocele. No incontinence or pain. Urogyn gave me 3 options: surgery, pessary and pt. Am currently doing pt and acupuncture. Am now able to relax my pelvic floor. Prior to the prolapse I did intense weight lifting and realize now that I was bearing down and holding my breath on effort which was incorrect. Am thinking about getting a pessary but there is so much information on the internet. Glad I came across this video. Thanks

Gaynor is a wonder and lovely human. She is very helpful and caring in group. I do wish Gaynor would have been able to finish speaking about suction and pessary removal before being redirected to something else.

Just discovered your channel. I am really liking your videos. I have just been diagnosed with Stage 4 prolapse. I have had interstitial cystitis for 11 years which is fairly well controlled through medications. I work out at home everyday and am looking for more workouts that are prolapse safe. I would love you to share more workouts if you can.

heard about pessory in 1998 i visited a medical supply place with a paper catalog and looked at various shapes. Decided to look at baby rattles, teething rings etc. Found the rough size to try but used to rings as they were a bit skinny. worked well for a few years as a sort of wedge to support uterous. Eventually I had insurance and have a folding version. Found out about pessory in a English vets story of life on the farm. So happy to hear your story.

This a really helpful video and informative. These remind me of an old birth control diaphragm. They had to be fitted and you took them in and out. In small town America it would be hard to find the right doctor to help.

Really fabulous! So educational. Why should it take so long to get one after you see a urogynocologist. The doc put me on an OAB pill.

It can take awhile to find the right shape and size. Is the medication helping?

@@vaginacoach it’s very interesting in that you’re not supposed to have any more than 40 ounces of water yet if you don’t have enough water, this drug can make you almost have a bladder infection, plus I’m getting heart palpitations now and it can cause high blood pressure. I feel fine except the heart palpitations are weird at night. You know when you get quiet and you lay there and you can feel it more. I am doing your Buff Muff Pelvic Floor. The doctor asked me after examining me with a bladder catheter also in my rectum, and immediately after that, I got a bladder infection again and apparently I heard that you can get that after a catheter has been inserted. Sorry for all the information. I have a stage two bladder prolapse, and when she asked me what she could do for me, I said I want a pessary to help me with the bladder prolapse

Loved this interview so much. I have a stage 4 prolapse but haven't seen a doctor yet. What kind of doctor should I see for this.? I don't know what kind of prolapse it is but I'm almost 70 and learned so much here on just one video. I thought I just had to live with this extremely uncomfortable problem.

This was very informative. I especially appreciate the portion about Estrogen as I am one of those who is fearful to use it due to cancer risks. My prescription is to put the cream on outside twice a week. I have Stage 2 prolapse. I have seen a pelvic floor PT. During our sessions her main focus was Kiegal exercises along with other stretch and breathing exercises. I found the sessions helpful. And am looking forward to finding out more about your 12 week program. I do have a pessary as prescribed by my doctor. However, I do not wear it all the time. I use it mostly when I know I'm going to be more active. For instance long walks, golf, Zumba exercise etc. I'm wondering if there is any issue with not wearing it all the time. I don't feel the need to have it in all the time. Your thoughts??

I highly recommend vaginal estrogen and I do recommend wearing the pessary as it can help with symptoms and may also help improve the prolapse over time and can help delay worsening.

Hello Kim, I appreciate you posting this video. I feel disappointed that stage 4, complete prolapse was not addressed. I must wear a pessary unless I'm laying down. At present I don't have one that fits properly. Do you have any other videos that address grade 4, complete prolapse?
Like Gaynor's mother, I don't want to live my life feeling this way, pain when I don't wear a pessary, and pain when I do!
I have seen a gynecologist, and a urogynecologist, all to no avail! I know more about pessaries than either of them do!

    • @vaginacoach
      @vaginacoach  5 місяців тому +1

pessaries can help regardless of the stage. It can take some time to find the right size and shape regardless of the stage of prolapse. Perhaps the one you have now is not the right size or shape for you.

I tried pelvic health and it was unsuccessful. I have stress incontinence. I was talked into a pessary. It was a ring, and I had to attach dental floss so I could get it out. There were a couple times it came out when urinating. It really bothered me to insert and take out. I didn't find it helped me. So now I still have the problem. I really feel there's no hope for me

have you tried hypopressives? A fantastic exercise for prolapse and incontinence. Also, there are so many shapes and sizes of pessaries so perhaps the one you had just wasn't the right size or shape for you.
