Boxler Maple Farm, is a family owned farm located in Western New York. Our family spends our time learning, growing, and working together to build a life we are proud of.
I had to smile at his thumb bandage. My brother who is a maintenance man in a plant, he regularly has similar bandages
Cute Lil Sapper you got there and Moms that play in Mud Puddles are cool.
Congratulations on your pregnancy !!
I am very impressed how clean that your entire facility is, outbuildings and processing plants.
You all run a top tier business. Best of all, it's family.
Your knowledge, experience and ease around a camera allows for your presentation to flow very smoothly and clearly. You make it so ease to follow along
Thanks for sharing
That building and setup still blows my mind! You all do a lot of hard work,it’s very impressive. I totally was waiting for that little fella to stomp that mud puddle and give you a bath! Lol
I know I couldn't believe he didn't! I was expecting that as well!
What a little cute boss ya have. Nothing like fun in the mud. :)
He is the cutest and smartest 2 year old I know!
You're a good mom, letting a kid be a kid.
That little guy is going to break a few girls hearts someday, what a cutie!
Never seen how maple surp was made.we rise hay beer barley here .
Well at least the little boss acknowledged you presence 😄 and still waiting for you yo hop in the driver's seat of the truck👍
next video! lol
Thanks Nikki. For all your hard work and great attitude. It's inspiring
Thank you for the kind words, someone has to stay positive around the maple farm 😂
@@MapleFarmer My pleasure 🤗
@@MapleFarmer I'll bet that young man brings you joy
@@chrisg2622 He is so cute!
That filterpress is the REAL DEAL. So sweet. Sap is still running here in Ohio!
I never gave this a thought before today. As a kid we tapped a couple trees in our yard and I drank cold sap from the bucket and it looked clear. Today traveling down 98 from N. Java heading back to Attica, I saw a half full cube tank by the road. I could see that the sap actually had a green tint to it. Who knew ;)
Such an awesome process. Thank you for taking us along
That new building… I hope it makes the whole process smoother and, if possible, a bit easier. Great vlog today, as usual!
Thank you so much for watching! The building should make the process much easier and more efficient
Yeah... I'm going to be putting another order in soon. Love your maple seasoning. Your entire operations are impressive! Hopefully you have a great maple season.
Thank you so much! We are working hard to improve and be more efficient!
Glad to see you brought the manager.
He's so funny. He loves the sugar shanty, it's all he talks about!
What a beautiful building
Thank you so much! We are exciting to finish it up!
That is such a awesome facility! The maple syrup I got from you is very, very good! The quality of the syrup is perfect! Thanks for producing a great product for us to enjoy!
Thank you so much for the kind words and for choosing to support our small family business!
I collect sap all week and have to boil it all on the weekend because its not my only job. After 4 weeks im burnt out.
same here! Work full time jobs during the day and come home and boil at night. That's why it's always night when we boil unless its a weekend
Always entertaining, relaxing and calming seeing your vlogs Nikki, keep them coming. :-) ❤️🙏🏼
Great video. I too would like you to narrate a little bit about all the equipment and what it does in the syrup process…in layman’s terms for us. Lol. You do a wonderful job teaching us the goings on in the woods, then you get shy and quiet when indoors. Lol. Looking forward to your next video. And get driving that tanker truck!! 👍👍
That's because in buildings I get judged 😂 However, the next video will have some of me driving the tanker and an explanation of the inside of the building. That video was supposed to be tonights video but it's uploading painfully slow!
Okay you're a cool Aunt, the boy gets stuck in the mud and you tell him to jump in a mud puddle ha ha
What can I say... I'm just a big kid myself! 😂
Love seeing the little dude out walking in the mud.
Love your videos. Thanks for the fun. 🪵 ❤
Thank you so much for watching!
I'd love for you to narrate what we're seeing as you pan your camera around the sugar shack equipment. I think it will help me understand the process of making syrup as well. Thanks!
I just finished editing the video tonight that follows the sap from tree to table! It should be coming to you on Thursday if everything goes according to plan!
Always interesting and entertaining. Thanks again for sharing.
This video is a little different than my normal videos but my nephew is too cute not to share! Plus he is always at the sugar shanty! He loves it there!
I bet the view is amazing in the fall looking over the valley and hills, love that Kenworth your dads haulin with, Peterbuilts are nice but Give me a Kenworth any day of the week. Can’t wait to see the building all finished up, it already looks amazing!
The fall is absolutely stunning! Hopefully it's a good season and we are able to finish up the building by fall!
@@MapleFarmer Just placed an order with you guys can’t wait to try it all out! I didn’t know that there was different grades and flavor profiles this process just keeps getting better!
@@captainawesome5560 Thank you for choosing to support of small family business, We appreciate you!
That Is a nice set up go job
Thank you!
I thought you guys would be using high-pressure Steam for evaporation. Are you eventually going to do more in that building than just process sap?
That was funny , little man stuck.
he says the funniest things! Smartest 2 year old I've ever met!
I can't recall if you did get your license to drive truck, I know you were driving it with your dad I believe last spring ( shows how good my memory is ! ), at least with the Kenworth it has a normal clutch pedal swing action vs the Pete that the pedal presses down into the floor as its like trying to stand on a greasy basket ball to press a Pete clutch with muddy boots. Sounds like you three are doing the 48 hour a day, 8 days a week shift LOL.
No special license needed besides a regular drivers license when driving a farm truck in New York. Most states are like that. They are farming syrup. :)
I have my class B! Taking my A this spring after maple season finishes
Yes I have my class B! Taking my class A this spring, I have my A permit but they are behind on scheduling the road tests due to high demand since they changed the rules in NY
@@beckyumphrey2626 I've never seen a state by state regulation in regards to driving a commercial truck and was not sure where NY stood on that. I suspect that NY would also have the 150 mile radius rule as do some other states I heard from farmers that don't have a CDL. Here in Alberta its a no go even with a tandem axle body job truck ( and this truck falls into that category ) which as of recent years requires lots of dollars spent through a government training program, and medicals and so on. The CDL is just more intensive yet ( called a Class 1 in Canada ) . Luckily I got my CDL/Class 1 years ago and don't have to spend 10000.00 to go through a course. Its really put farmers into a bind in Canada to find anyone qualified to legally drive a farm truck.
@@MapleFarmerNo CDL is required for the farm truck and local driving correct? Is that the rule they changed? Always a good thing to have though. I watch Hourigan Farms channel and they are in NY and don't believe they have CDLs.
Hello just subscribed today been watching for a few days. I grew up on a family tobacco farm was hard work but I think surp and milk might be worse. Have you ever tried small pruning shears instead of the folding saw?
Wow ! my neighbors maple sirop press is about 10 times smaller than yours :) :) That is really big ... And do you use the water from the osmose to clean all those windows of the building ?
looks like you guys are wide open,,take care get some rest,,
I am really having fun watching your videos. How many gallons of maple syrup do you make a year. Please stay safe
Thanks for watching! How much we make always varies from year to year
Your dad should take it easy he’s not a 25. Your son was so funny asking for dad when you where filming him.
That's my nephew! He is the cutest and is so smart!
@@MapleFarmer ops
Do you use Propane, natural gas, electric, wood or something else for cooking syrup?
So I'm guessing that unit is a series of filters that the product gets moved through.
yes!
@@MapleFarmer Ah hah! Make sure to thank your brother for all of his articulate and thorough explanations regarding the equipment there. Hahahaha!
I grew up on a dairy farm using some automated equipment. Also working in a mechanical engineering field, so I find equipment like that interesting. Funny enough, one of the Gould brothers featured you in a shotgun video. The Gould brothers are good friends with one of my 1st cousins from the area in where they live (have done hunting excursions with him). I have no idea how they met you people, but I'd seen one of your videos months prior to Steve running a segment with you. Ironic.
@@exothermal.sprocket The Gould Brothers are awesome! I met them through Winchester - they are always so much fun to be around!
@@MapleFarmer Oh interesting! I was wondering if they held an exhibition in NY area. You connected to Winchester company in some way?
@@exothermal.sprocket Yes I work with them on the hunting side!
Do you drive the truck as well or is it just your Dad?.
Nikki, do you guys boil off all your sap or do you use reverse osmosis at any point? That's quite the weather change!!
Yes, we use an ro... which I will show you in my next video that I am currently editing!
@@MapleFarmer Ok thanks! I'll wait for it! :)
