3:28 ALWAYS CHECK YOUR SIDES AFTER TAKING YOUR EYES OFF THE ROAD, EVEN JUST FOR A SPLIT SECOND. Thankfully this car has more than enough pickup to avoid a rear collision, but that could have went bad.
I didnt see at first, but ye, you are right. Could have ended bad if driver behind him didnt brake and if Mercedes didnt have enough power.
From all of his videos this one was the most intense. When he finally decided to get off the autobahn I felt relieved.

As an American this video is just really intense. At ANY time one of those car would/may have just randomly entered your lane with no signal and with out looking. I love my country, but I am jealous of your German roads and drivers.

@@kingofsenf3172 not only opf , new eu regulations rules :'( from 2020 because my golf r opf with optional akrapovic 2019 sounds so much better i wanted to switch to a45s but when i heared this sound that made me run away for ever , i was expecting the good sound from the old one , waiting for new rs3 i pray for 5 cyl sound because the new s3 sound is pathetic just like the a45s

Probably about 2-3 car lengths behind. Not that close to be honest and he sped up quickly too.
He did see him - as soon as he floored it, he matched the speed of the incoming vehicle because the amg is that fast - and then quickly went even faster - so not dangerous.

@@kinnexion why is that? no V8? define AMG TO you,not AMG themselves,then lets look at the facts:
1)handbuilt engine like every AMG,NOT THE ENTRY LEVEL C43,E53,A35,ETC.
2)it has all the options of the AMG's top line car,like drift mode,not available on the AMG "light" cars.
3)highest power 4 cylinder mass produced engine in the world.
4) certain options are AMG specific only,not found on lesser AMG's.
from where im sitting,its an AMG...FULL AMG.

I've worked at a Merc dealership for 2 years now, and I can neither confirm nor deny that the engine is handbuilt by AMG. Do with that information what you will. I'm not saying its not a great car. It is. And yes, its fantastic that a lot of the options are reserved for the A45 and A45S versions of this new A-Class. What I'm saying is that its not a pure AMG car. I mean, even the new C63 doesn't really feel like a proper AMG car anymore. To be honest, the last car that still feels like an AMG car is the GTR. That still feels pure and focused
@@kinnexion well i ask you this: what was AMG's first well known car? the Hammer. they all have something in common,they were all sedans. to compare a GTR and an A45,is just madness. as for purity,if you want a real AMG,the E55 was even more so than an E63 to a point. as we know that its an(E63S) AWD,and not nearly as hairly to drive as a E55. so the GTR and A45,NOT FAIR. one could argue the SLS is better than a GT base. the C63,is far closer than an A45,but you forgetting thy have different roles in AMG,for different buyers. remember they listen to their clients. its not the biggest performance arm of any of the big 3 for nothing. they doing something right,they bringing people closer to the brand who would not have bought an AMG,cause it was too hairy,pure,whatever you call it.tyr comparing a an old DTM M3 to an M4,driving pleasure? ive driven a ton of these cars,as its my business,i cant really agree with saying that the C63 isnt pure enough. its pure enough. i had an old C63,far more hairy but not nearly as quick on a track. its well balanced i think between pure and civil..

Haven’t had mine flat out yet, but I know it maxes out at 170 mph and he just did that in 6th gear and there are 2 more gears after that. I guess it’s electronically limited. I wonder how fast it could go 🤔

@Bezza1981 - I am not sure, if you understood how gears work. A lower gear delivers higher power, not a higher gear. The higher gear lowers the revs --> result is less power = less speed.

@@MrZillas Dude, you are the one who needs to understand gears first. Gearing does not change power output, but torque and output speed. As power is a product of torque and speed it is not changed at all. Obviously you may have less torque as your engine revs drop, but this engine has a very linear torque curve.
