One of the most interesting items called Flask of Petrification that has recently been used in Classic Hardcore may be a bit too strong and arguably defeats the point of Hardcore.

If they can farm enough black lotus to give every raider a flask of petri or two, I think that's fair enough. IT's not like it's easy to go out and make those flasks.
So gathering an herb is the deciding factor? Pallies can't even bubble hearth until the final stretch at 50 or 52.
How do you choose HC? I do not see it as an option in the realms.

The leveling process is still the main focus
The ingame RP sex is the main focus for me
It's for 50+ and it's a big deal if you're claiming to play HC.

Simple turn off the addon - login, do the trade etc. Log off and enable the addon again.
You have no idea how many "cheats" this way, even thou it is just for 16 slot bags or whatever.

totally agree with you! Petri + ghetto hearth is killing the purpose of Hardcore in wow endgame. HC Hardcore claimed to have cleared AQ and Naxx construction wing in hardcore a few weeks ago, but they didn't... abusing ghetto hearth or using mage portals in combat to return home just make it a softcore run. nothing different from a standard wipe were you just resurect. Also, nerf the mage portal to be unusable in combat.
I agree 100%. And if it is meta people will use it. If it is "optional" that option will always be used.
I mean, cry about it? It's a 60+ item. What matters in Hardcore is the leveling, not the endgame. Once you reach the endgame you've got nothing else to do but to play the game as normal.

Rule creators: Petri? OK. Re-Petri? OK. Bubble Hearth? NOT EVEN ONCE.
This thing that isn't exactly easy to come by and is one of only a very select few safety nets is going to ruin hardcore.
i never got why bubble hearth wasnt allowed but the flask was. scheme by the alchemists in wow I bet!
the "hc rules" are a joke anyways and that mc clip proves it.

@@caseylam8046 he just explained why lol HC and its garbage arbitrary rules. So you can use flask of petrification and leave group to port out of instance, but you cant bubble hearth? they both give the same end result of porting from danger in a instance... lol actual joke game mode
To be fair: Ive seen enough HC death clips to know more than half of the players REALLY suck. I kind of wanna say it should be removed, but at the same time I dont wanna die because of someone else's messup and in case its my fault, I want others to have the opportunity to get away from death too.
Just a question. What happens to the unlucky guy being the last one wanting to leave? Isnt he stuck in the instance and wont receive a 59 seconds teleport out message?
There is a macro, which puts you in a grp for 1sec and you instant leave the grp so you get the timer
The main objection of hardcore is to make it to Max, That's why bubble hearth is not allowed. And using this potion really only affects the people that want to play raiding hardcore. I'm never gonna do that so why shouldn't my opinion hurt people the actually used it. If I ever get my 1st character to Max level, I'm gonna start a new one.
You're talking about a very niche group of people that want to do hardcore raiding. Let them do what they want. If it was something you use in every other leveling bracket to break the game for hardcore, Then yes that should be banned. But we're talking about a niche group of people that want to raid after heading Max level on a hardcore character. They've earned that.
Then they should just play as normal. If your raid wipes, fine, no big deal. Res and go again.
@@JonO387 Then you don't understand the idea of "HARDCORE". It's a one life challenge. You have to use the addon and you have to play on a certain server. Think of hardcore as real life, You only have one life to live and that's what they're doing. WoW is a complete cake walk when you're able to die whenever you can and revive. Those hardcore people are trying to make the game harder for themselves to make it more challenging. WoW does not have a difficulty setting in it

Just don't use petri and claim to be playing HC, you're not.
It is an endgame item that only alch can craft that needs a really rare herb and you can't even use it at a lvl lower than 50
