- The HP bars were SO slow in Generation 2! I used a curse lax to one shot it... (was at +6 iirc) took forever! This was played on Pokemon Stadium 2 for the N64
2021 edit: Whoa didn't expect this video to get all these views. For the young folks watching this, the speed was not due to technology limitations but rather an error in coding caused the hp bars to run slow (you will notice gen 1/the first Pokemon games ran fine- Gamefreak goofed!) What emulator is that?
This isn't an emulator per se... this is real hardware. It's being played on the N64, on Pokemon Stadium 2 with the transfer pack using an actual Pokemon Crystal cartridge. You could unlock "Dodrio Gameboy" that played up to 3 times as fast on Pokemon Stadium 2 using your real Pokemon cartridges. Was a really nice feature back in the day.

Ignorant comment, ngl. This is the absolute most extreme example. For most of the game, you wouldn't encounter this bug. Battle Tower was optional content (and only present in Crystal version) and lv 100 with higher hp is when you would run into slowdown this severe. Also, if you played other humans through link cable with lv 100s, it would run slow as well. In game/campaign ran fine, which is why the devs probably didn't bother fixing it, as fixing one thing can break another...
