Fun fact: because it takes 2 minutes to kill a sash blissey, if this mechanic was put in showdown in a timer battle, assuming the timer starts after you make the move and you don't skip the animations, that blissey would've drained half your timer, and another one would literally make you lose on time.
Imagine if gamefreak actually programs this for every Blissey in BDSP and clicks rest on every fighting type turn 1 with obviously the same slow af hp bar
Possible changes to make this longer: Level 100 Blissey with 31 IVs and 252 EVs in HP Shiny Blissey and Staraptor Rain/Sun active Staraptor using Double Edge so its hp also goes down from recoil Staraptor holding a HP restoring item so we also have to watch its animation Blissey using protect on the first and third turns Intimidate Staraptor for the extra activation text and stat drop animation

I hope you’re right, because judging by the nostalgia pandering way they’re going with the graphics, I’m partially expecting them to make the HP system slow on purpose just for nostalgia.
Not even close, in Diamond and Pearl health was deducted point by point instead of percentage-wise. A level 100 Blissey with 31 IVs and 252 Evs in HP reaches a maximmum of 714 HP. The HP bar in Diamond and Pearl is made up of 50 individual pixels, so at a maximmum, each pixel represents a maximmum of 14,28HP, since Blissey is the Pokemon with the highest base HP. If each tick of the HP bar were really 50 health, that level 99 Blissey would've had 2.500 HP, which is NOT possible.
