Edd does all the work as usual 😂
Edd is a Brilliant Mechanic Patient Calm and Puts his heart and soul into what he does. Well Done to you Edd China Big thumbs up to you fella 👍👍. He is one of tallest Mechanics around at 6 foot 7 inches.
I would like to see Edd back so I can again watch WD.
Ed you deserve a cup of tea
The positive note throughout the diagnostic and solving steps is just outstanding!
I owned 3 of these C4 Corvettes and if you ever want to startle someone while they look at your engine? Turn the lights on while the hood is up...most people will semi-freak. ;)
DAMN...I miss them.
I don't see how any of these are profitable unless you factor in the labor costs for Ed.
They aren’t profitable, the money is in the views.
Irony, a brit saying American electrics are 'dodgy'.. We call Lucas the "Prince of Darkness"... British cars have a 3 position light switch, off, dim and Flicker.
Great design and styling..typical Corvette..the 1984 digital dash was miles ahead of the opposition. Brilliantly retro now..then came heads up display..like in a fighter jet and then later g meter..the Corvettes had some brilliant tech.
I own the same year Corvette an 84 like that one and I had to replace the headlight motor and it was quite easy actually and I will have to do my didital display soon because it losing brightness messes up sometimes
I have seen so many of these vids, I will be hearing Mike saying 'Give here to subscribe' in my nightmares.
The Lucas Electronics slogan: "Get home before dark."
Just cant watch the show without edd
Am I the only one who loves that corvette
YEP!!!
@@duncanhowarth9514 Nope! I love my C6, her her for years ....
@@johnclayden1670: You can't beat a TVR Sagaris!
@@duncanhowarth9514 A school chum of mine has one: great machine. Traction control by 4" of throttle movement you don't know what to do with! Smashing!
Nah mate, its not only you that likes that Corvette.
Edd China you are the star 🌟, the other lad is just a car sales man.
Ok, when Mike said dodgy American electronics I about spit my beer out... Has he has a brain lapse .... Lucas needs 2 miles (km) of wire to run a tail light and every colour in the spectrum of wire colors. And note i spelled color correctly for your brits to understand all except Ed. as he rocks...
That was my thought aswell. US electronics is far better than British. 😂
Come on mike... Met you in Sandiego and i will never forget or regret you selling me that white Tr7 convertible before shipping it off to the UK. I like ya Mike... But Brittish Leyland is tied in my book with China for best worst products ever.

Lmao Lucas electrics. Legend at breaking.
The wiring might suck but at least we can turn a corner 😂
Good for Edd, he is rid of Mike, good for him.
That brit shouldn't be talking about bad electronics
Everything on the dashboard is electronic... except for the odometer.
The UK episodes of this show especially the early seasons like this episode were so great and fun to watch and see Ed at work. It was just a simple show with a simple idea. Buy cars and fix them. Once the show moved to the US and Edd left it was never the same. The cars became more like expensive restorations whereas episodes like this corvette were simply to fix the car affordably and get it mechanically reliable. Sadly just another great show ruined by the popularity and fame of the shows success
Me watching that heat shrinking job: *shudder*
Well soldering is not recomended for car wirering. (correct) Crimping is way better.
Ed is humble and Mike is so arrogant pitty he treated Ed as someone who is under him and not as someone who does all the work
I call bullshit on the total they spent .

The English making fun of American electronics? That's HILARIOUS!!!
American cars are junk
Karl T amen
@@karlt9087 Says everyone who's never owned an American car.
"dodgy American electronics" said by the guy with the dodgy brit hair dye job.
Electronics in American cars back then was pretty crap, but anybody that hails from the land of Lucas Electronics really has no room to talk.

Fixing the dim dash is easy. Pull out the old one, pull apart the circuit boards, install new bulbs and put everything back together. I did mine for $50 and about 2 hours of work. I'm not even a mechanic.
Slinging some mud: "dodgy American electrics"...I am sure that's why the IT Crowd made fun of "Made in Britan" things...I also realize that the IT Crowd is probably the best of sources for developing a stereotype.
Q: Why do the Brits like warm beer?
A: Because Lucas make their fridges...
Dodgy AMERICAN electronics!? That's the pot calling the kettle... 🤣
CrossFire Corvettes were no muscle cars. This was not the most desireable version of the C4.
Maybe it is wherever he's from🤔
“Solder is by far the best way to connect wires together permanently”
Wow ok so every airline, F1 team and military outfit has been doing it wrong all these years. Thanks Ed.
Klaus Langbein How do they do it?
Fun fact, gm recommends the butt connector with the heat shrinking ends over soldering, they claim in their extensive testing that the butt connector repair stood up better than the solder. I took the gm program at uti, that's what I was taught. I dont really believe that though
@Little Reptilian nope, physical connectors are called for on every Audi. No soldering allowed. Never used a soldering iron in my entire airforce avionics career on wiring.
this. no professional uses solder to connect wires. research the actual tech manuals and you'll notice non soldering allowed.
Edd was really wrong there. Crimping a wire is the way to go.
Dang.... It's like a foreign language.
Those mirrors look horrible.
Export mirrors. If you look at the Camaros and Firebirds sent to Europe, they are the same boxy style.
Mike must be desperate
You got robbed LOL
Dodgy American electrics!
*cough cough*-Lucas. Enough said.
“Dodgy American electrics,” because British electrics are so much better......
Dodgy American electrics eh?
