Weighted Neutral Grip Pull Ups, Seated OHP, SSB Squat.
Pull ups > rows
Based
Smith machine squat, pendlay row, seated high incline press
Standing overhead barbell press, chin ups, and Powercleans
Seated OHP, weighted pull-ups, and then probably RDL's.
OHP, Pullup, Barbell Row.
Honorable mention: Front Squat
Ohp
BB Row
HackSquat
Exactly what I was going to put!
It's a tough one for me to answer because early on in my training, it was all about the big three (Squat, Bench, Dead lift) and is how I build m base early on. After I kind of moved past those, I would say:
1) T Bar Rows
2) DB Incline Press
3) Belt Squat
Tough to name just 3... but probalby Barbell Row, RDLs, Dumbell Overhead Press
Weighted chin up, barbell over head press, and weighted dip
full rom weighted dips, stiffleg deads, high bar squat or bent over rows
firsties!
Squat, Bench, Deadlift, Weighted Chin-Ups, Military Press & Hip-Thrust
RDL, Seated overheadpress, bulgarian split squat!
Dang, man, you just had to bring up behind the neck press, now I'm going down the rabbit hole........
Neutral Grip Pull-Ups
Clean and Press
Supported Dumbbell Rows
Together with the Big 3 this gives Overhead Pull, Overhead Push, Horizontal Pull, Horizontal Push, Squat & Hinge. Pairing opposite movements keeps my strength balanced and my joints happy.
Power clean, heavy low-rep overhead squat, and low-rep heavy weighted pull ups. 2-3 reps for each set for these three lifts.
Bent-over rows, RDL’s, and close-grip BP, get the honorable mention - 5 reps for 3 to 5 sets.
Weighted neutral grip chins, Bulgarian split squats, Standing BB OHP
Standing Overhead Press, Partial Deadlift, Incline Bench Press, I do these way more than any other but I do also like hex bar deadlift, edited- possibly Tricep dips, seated rows and maybe prone rows and standing Cable bicep curl as secondary, I’ve stopped doing fancy workouts and I’ve just been going back to basics
BB OHP / 1-arm DB Row / Farmer Carry would probably be my next big 3. Have to admit I like cable flys, bicep curls and triceps pushdowns as a few pet exercises that make workouts more fun and keep me consistent also. 😂
Dips, barbell row, walking lunges (if I could only choose three)
I would say standing barbell OHP, t-bar rows, & zercher squats.
My three are going to be kind of weird, but they would definitely be sandbag-to-shoulder, push-press, and the pull-up.
weighted dips, front squat and weighted pullups or rdls can't decide
At least a big 5 for me needs the addition of some ohp/military and barbell row. For the 6th I'd say a lat pull since I can't do Pull-ups yet. Aside I'd toss in a leg press, cgp, rack pull and good mornings and that'd complete my main lifts for the entire body more or less. An early staple of mine was dumbbell press rather than barbell although there was a lot of experimentation with various bench movements.
I’d say clean n jerk, devil press and strict press. I just think these offer so much value in terms of bang for your buck and efficiency and they require strength mobility and a cardiovascular engine.
weighted dips, weighted pullups, front squats
BB SLDLs, Kroc Rows, Standing BB OHP
Standing OHP, weighted pull-ups, barbell row.
Wide grip pullup, dips, handstand pushup. I wish can do handstand pushups more but for now OHP is a good option.
Incline bench press, weighted pull up and Platz squat. I got a lot of gains with these.
Hey Mr. Shaw, do you think that it's needed to do rear delt work directly, or is back work enough?
PULL UPS, DIPS, FARMERS CARRY 70 YEAR OLD AND I LOVE DOING THEM
When I first started lifting I was scared away from btn press but it has now become my favorite shoulder movement as I feel it hitting the whole shoulder. My other 2 would be pullover and rdl.
Pull ups. Weighted dips. Box jumps.
20 rep squat, weighted dip, high pull
Weighted Pull-up, Weighted Dip, RDL
Weighted chin ups, dips and reverse lunges
Calf raises wrist curls neck curls
It's hard (and frustrating) to include any shoulder stuff since they aren't included in the original 'Big e'. So I won't include them here. The next Big 3 for me are leg press, DB/Pendlay row, and DB bench (flat or include).
For me its dips, pull ups and barbell rows
Glad to see the power shrug getting some love
Weighted Pullups, Dips, and Standing OHP
DB/BB OHP, DB Rows, Seated Cable Rows
For ranges
Shoulder Press, Bench Pulls and Clean Pulls…
BTN, dip, pullup
👍👍👍
💪💪
Wheighted pullups, seated DB OHP, barbell bent over row, freaking love them
Weighted Dips, Barbell Rows, Standing Alternate DB Presses
Not completely sure but here are some favorites:
Weighted ring push ups
Power cleans
Zercher squats
DB front and side lunges
Overhead BB side bends
Glenn pendlay before he passed wrote an article about his big 3 for athletes and said: Pushpress, powerclean and high bar back squats
