This is also my all time favorite generation of the Jeep Grand Cherokee. My older brother has a Bright Silver Metallic 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo and it's a very nice car.
love it got mine for 1200 it was a steal i knew the the person was and she very lazy she thought it needed work a few minor fixes a e test and here we go haven't looked back
They are Okay in reliability, don't expect anything from a Honda or Toyota's superb reliability, but don't expect terrible reliability like a Hyundai or Kia back in the 90's
@@omegarugal9283 Totally incorrect... you don't know Jeeps... the 2004 models still offered the floor-shift manual 4WD with low range, and even when they switched to fully electronic 4WD in 2005, the higher-level transfer cases still offered low-range (we had a 2005 model with electronic-shift 4WD and low range, and it had a toggle switch in the center console for that)... I've got you beat. I'm religious about 3000 mile oil changes. I've got a '98 plain Cherokee 4.0L with 407k+ on it, and I know of a Grand with 436k on it. Not sure which engine the Grand has. The guy that owned that the Grand sold it to a Jeep garage and went to the dark side and got a Land Rover. He's now regretting it. My Cherokee is rusting around me, which is a shame, since I've gotten fixed all but the oil pan leak. I lose/burn 1 quart between changes. It does have low compression, which I notice on the highway when trying to come up to speed. Other than a worn-out driver's seat giving me sciatica and the rust, I love the car. I'm looking to find a newer car with a full set of real gauges and 4x4. I may end up with a truck. Gauges are becoming a thing of the past.
Had one before, And would'd sell in for the world but I had to since I left my homeland, the great car at all aspects except that there's no air ducts in the rear, kinda a buzz killer
opiedac90 Michael Stokes Yeah that's the only downside with these is the transmission. Those aisin transmissions they have in the regular cherokees are very good i've heard. I'm at almost 123,000 miles in 2001 wj and the transmissions hasn't given me any problems yet, although I do need to get it serviced next week.
Yes they did make a Grand Cherokee 2WD very rare, and they made a Limited as well also very rare. The 4WD delete made it about 27,000 back then. Why they are asked that much is the low mileage and because of the stupid ass we had in the WH called OBAMA and his brilliant plan known as CARS (Cash For Clunkers) made the 4,000 vehicle worth about 8,000. Remember this was posted about three years after CARS program took all the cheap used cars and destroyed all their Moters with liquid glass and revved the engines to 2,000 RPM to seize the Moters or until they quit which dumped antifreeze and other fluids on the ground caused a bigger envirmental hazard than saving 2.00 worth of oil. Smart plan to fuck the poor man and bail out the useless auto makers like GM and Chrysler. What good that did Chrysler is not American automaker anymore it is owned by Fait which is a Italian owned.
This Laredo is nice with low mileage. Unfortunately, it is not 4x4. That said, I really think this is WAY overpriced for a 2wd. A 2wd SUV suffers all the disadvantages a large vehicle, without the advantage of 4wd. I'm not upset at Soccer Mom's buying these, but rather Jeep for caving in and making a 2wd version of a 4x4 it was intended to be. 4x4 or 4wd vehicles are much more desirable, and that is why they hold value.
***** I agree! I have a 2002 GC and I got it for pretty cheap, but that's just because the girl I bought it from wanted it gone. It's worth a lot more than I paid for it (:
I got a 2001 grand cherokee for $2600. Granted it has double the mileage of this one, but it has 4wd, leather seats, moon roof, 10 speaker sound system. It's really nice.
GC's are awesome trucks, mine is pretty basic, no options but the important part is that it has the Selec-Trac 4X4 and the 4.0L I6, the best combination you can get on a Jeep. I paid $3500 for mine and it has 135k miles on it (had 133k when I got it). (:

i had a 99 i liked it more i dont know why both didn't drive straight even with my 04 i left off the gas and sometimes it wants to swerve
in 2019 i can say my cherokee has a little rust and some bubbles in the front left fender other then that 91,000km on her shes perfect love it
I enjoyed the review and the Jeep looked really good as well. Good job.
They're great-looking and reliable trucks that are fun to drive! Love WJ Grand Cherokees like this! (:
My 04 is Inferno Red, once I replaced the foggy headlight lenses she was red sexy.
Those 4.0s are tough engines, they'll never quit as long as you take good care of em (:
Oh hell yeah, my 04 is still chugging along.
Wow thanks I'm happy to see this news😊
I miss my 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee, it was by far the best car I've ever owned. Currently looking for another one with the 4.0L engine.
I LOVE THOSE! I want one really bad too
Camerons Car Reviews I just bought one a few hours ago. I looked for 5 months to find the perfect one.
Got mine at $2800 4x4 4.0L V6 at around 100,000 miles. Replaced the starter and put all terrains on it
love it got mine for 1200 it was a steal i knew the the person was and she very lazy she thought it needed work a few minor fixes a e test and here we go haven't looked back
Jeep never made a 4.0 V6. They made 4.0 Inline 6.
Great deal
I love this Cherokee model is the best
As an 04 owner, I have to agee.
My uncle owned one of these but it was a 2002 black leather with a grill guard.
Sweet
Last month, I bought a 2002 Laredo in green with tan interior and I love it! Mine's a 4x4 though (:
fanowner12 gas mileage?
Pretty good, about 15-16 MPG avg. depending on where and how I drive. (:
Same here mine is maroon great TRUCK
i havent heard that song in years

How do you figure that's black interior?? Looks light grey to me.
Changed it in the Video Description thank's for the feedback
When people check engine bay, what do they want to see exactly?🤔
04 Grand Cherokees had 4.0 Inline 6 not V6
Systems electrician windows problemas
Hi how to repeir windows electric problem
I might be getting one like this but with 4WD instead of 2WD (:
that one may be 4x4, except that by 2004 it came with permanent 4x4 without low range (so no floor lever) and elockers front and rear

Thats a I6 not a V6....just sayin'.
You didn't read it properly @2:54 it says V6 or I6
14 mpg in the city is pretty bad for a 6 cylinder.
You're going to pay for that power, one way or another or as one of my local grocery store bag boys put it, "It's not her fault she likes to drink."
la grand cherokee es la mejor camioneta de la crysler esta mucho mas mejor que la patriot y que la suburban
ok
Si. 😎
Is this model reliable?
yes very
Hells Yeah it's reliable!!!! I have the Straight Six in mine. Super Awesome. Took one of the mufflers off and it sounds better too.
If it's used be warned they have terrible electrical problems... not as good as a Toyota or a Honda.
i always liked the body style of these and the features but they werent the most reliable ever and pretty unsafe in collison too.

Don't buy a jeep if you're looking for mpg lol. They fun vehicles tho & pretty reliable
