- In continuation of my "Short Takes" video series at All City Auto, I give a tour of the 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this suv while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this suv designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.
I absolutely love my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee, it has 187,000 miles on it and it runs like new! (Update: Now has 212,xxx miles on it. Still running good!)

Update on the grand cherokee please?
My older brother has a 2004 Grand Cherokee Special Edition in Bright Silver Metallic and it's a sweet looking ride! This is my all time favorite body style Grand Cherokee
2004 with 224000 miles and runs like new. Repairs are always cheaper than buying new vehicles.

My dad used to have a 2002 Grand Cherokee Limited V8 when I was 10 years old, and it was a brilliant car. Yes, the V8 meant it was a TREMENDOUS gas hog, but it had some of the most comfortable seats of ANY car I had ever sat in... 😍👌 The Americans really know how to make proper car seats!
We even went on a caravan holiday in it to Great Yarmouth in August 2010, and I remember watching one of my Top Gear DVDs on the way there on the aftermarket DVD headrests we had installed in it.

I hope you realize that Jeep is only a name that Chrysler slaps on their vehicles. Aside from the straight 6, everything else is Chrysler. It's just a name
@@robitaill3 It is true that Chrysler makes Jeeps, but the Jeep name means it is an SUV. I wouldn't go off-roading in a Pacifica or a 300 but I would in this Jeep.
@@benband3883 yes. It means it is a Chrysler SUV. It is an SUV division of the parent company FCA. Which means that they're using Chrysler engines and transmissions. (An exception in this case)

Going through your older Videos I seen several years ago. Really will miss my 03 Jeep Grand Cherokee. had 187,000 miles on it traded it in for a brand new car.

Kyle, if you can find a 93-98 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the 5.2 V8 or a 99-04 GC 4.7 V8 that would be awesome. I'm liking these short take videos. Great job!

Just the rear ending crash rating because of the gas tank (which Chrysler agreed to fix on recall) Front and side impact ratings are good.
I wonder if those amps under the rear seats are dealer installed or what? I was looking to buy a 2000 grand cherokee at a used car dealer and it had an amp.

@markkjay Totally understandable. My family has had 3 GC's with the 4.0 and they do lack some power on the top end, but the reliability is untouchable. Now I have a 2004 Overland with the 4.7L HO V8. That thing moves very well

Just bought a 2004 v6 4wd with 113k miles for $2800. Very clean and has had the rearend rebuilt. I hope it runs ok for a while. We needed a family vehicle badly and i couldnt do a car payment right now.

I have a 02 WJ Grand Cherokee has 158, thousand miles on her and she runs like a dream. Haven't had major issues with her. Just regular repairs. 4x4 she is yes... Has the 4.0 inline 6.

@kendrickevans301 For the standard 4.7 it is, but the HO has peak hp around 5300 rpm due to a better cam and other "performance" parts from the factory. Redline for the standard 4.7 is 5300 while it's 5500 for the HO
i love the 2002 body style had one come in my job the other day so comfortable and great looking even at 115k miles...i have no use for a truck or suv but i love that look i would love a 4x4 limited...if gas wasnt so expensive :(

@bajabusta The gen that flowed this one was ugly. too ugly. almost all american cars (and lexus)from 2005 till about 08 were ugly. Now the companies are starting to make a perfect balance between angular and curvy.

Thats a lot of Mileage for a 2004, My Jeep 2001 Grand only has 92000, I prefer the steering wheel on the right, Makes the Parking Brake nearer too, Nice Car though.
@CC01FJ40 Same here. My old one had 160K on the original spark plugs! I beat the piss out of that poor thing when I was 16 and it never let me down. My current one has only 80K and no problems.

@abram7117 I got my brand new jeep 1999 jeep gc in '98 for 24k with even some upgraded options. The current outgoing model starts at 30k so I don't know what you're talking about!
not true. My brother 99 laredo has auto headlamps, premium audio, fog lights, and leather seats. You could get almost every option of the limited on the laredo as optional equipment.

You can either get a radio that has an AUX jack/USB iPod jack or have them install an AUX jack on the original radio.

Mr SaabKyle my dad just bought a 2003 jeep grand cherokee overland and it needs a rear side panel a front fender new rims new ball baring joints a new driveshaft and everything that connects to it and thats it but i would like to know your opinion if its worth the trouble or just buying another one in better condition?
