    Absolutely the worst value machine out there. Why? I moved into a brand new flat, am single and hardly make any mess. This is my second replacement. It is impossible to see where there could be a blockage. Initially it stopped working after a week and I was given a replacement. After 4 months, it stopped again. Was sent a new filter, did not work. Was sent a new main body. Why do we know this machine is useless? Dyson send a new body and do not ask for the old one as they know this will happen over and over again. As it has done to many, many other people. Just Google Dyson V10 problems and it is always the same issue...BLOCKAGE! Very expensive vacuum cleaner and when the guarantee runs out...no more replacement parts and you will have wasted your money. DO NOT BOTHER BUYING THIS MODEL.

      Which vacuum did you end up buying after this dyson?

    • @christophershrout2367

      I’ve not managed to tear it all the way down but I’ve gotten all the way to the “cyclones” at the very bottom and blown it out with compressed air. It worked twice but again the vacuum is complaining about its filter. Vac is 4 years old and almost unusable.

    Well done. However another solution is that Dyson actually build their vacuums to NOT require this complex process and that the removable filter be all that is needed. My opinion of Dyson has significantly lowered.

    Thank you so much. Too often these tutorial videos are not detailed enough for a novice or first timer to understand, or miss key details about screw placements or types used for each step. Never once felt lost or without instruction. Successfully tore apart, cleaned and reassembled. Now have (most of) a second vacuum after the first main body was replaced under warranty. Thanks again!

    My internal / cyclone bit was 95% clogged with fine dust. Absolutely no airflow getting throw. Even the motor part had dust falling out of it. I thought the bin was to collect all the dust not the internals! Anyhow thank you working like new now.

    Ridiculous, ridiculous, ridiculous. To have to go through all that that get the damn thing to work.

    Nicely done. I would never have braved disconnecting the wires without your tutorial. This is the most difficult of any of the other Dysons I have disassembled and cleaned. Not sure I would do it again. Hopefully won’t need to. Thank you.

      Thank you, I also found it the most intimidating dyson to take apart. (So far) I had also tried disconnecting the connector on the other side. But I couldn't get that done.

    This is the best disassembly video I’ve seen for this model. I never got the cyclones apart until watching this. Followed your steps exactly, also ordered a new filter and the vacuum works like new again. Crazy it only went for 3 years before it started to choke, but I’m sure I’ll get three more now. Saved me a service fee! Thank you!!!

    I stupidly vacuumed some fine dust after a construction mess. I didn’t realize how bad it was until I followed this video and opened it up. It was so gunked up that it was even hard to scrape the buildup off. Vacuum now is like new! Got a replacement battery from china and it’s been solid so far!!

    Great help! Is the other end of the wire connected in a way that it can not be removed? It feels really loose like it would come out but since you didn't remove it I'm scared to try myself 😬

  • @DianeGack
    @DianeGack 5 місяців тому

    Tutorial goes way too fast! Needs to explain more clearly each step. ie tapping the electrical connection to get it loose. I did as was shown in the video and broke the connector clip to hold things in place, by tapping on the wrong thing. We must have stopped the tutorial at least 50 times to try to see exactly what was supposed to be done. aVERY FRUSTRATING!

      Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry to hear that you damaged your Dyson.
      Besides the part of disconnecting the connector, can you explain which parts of the video were too fast for you? Then I can make my future videos clearer for everyone.
      Thank you.

    Dust container is stuck on something. I can't even fully lower is to clean all trash from it. Any idea what could be stopping it. The little lever you touched to remove it doesn't disengage it. Thanks!

    • @SpareTimeWorkshop
      @SpareTimeWorkshop  10 місяців тому +2

      No sorry, I was surprised though how much force it takes to slide it open. Maybe it's only stuck that it comes loose with a bit more force. I don't know any other way to open it.

      Yea. All that extra cord you had after pulling off the first part at like 3:05, mine didn’t have that extra little bit of wire tucked in that second part

    • @SpareTimeWorkshop
      @SpareTimeWorkshop  10 місяців тому

      @@ishnipepew6461 That is annoying. There is also a video online of someone unplugging the connector on the other side. But I don't think that's any easier.
      Can you maybe pull out the connector while the parts are still together?

    • @ishnipepew6461
      @ishnipepew6461 10 місяців тому

      @@SpareTimeWorkshop so after I pretty much but the parts just about completely back together I had just enough slack to push it out like you did and just barely get the box out to disconnect the wires. Idk why my cables are so short
