Glamzilla has the most condescending voice and I feel like that really adds to her already inflated ego.
I agree
💯
No literally I almost can’t listen to her speak it’s painful. Such a condescending tone always
I agree - it gives me a massive headache. 🤕
No she doesn’t! Seriously Google the term and get a spoken example.
Glamzilla feels like a mean girl hiding behind a bubbly personality
100% getting those vibes. She’s not even subtle about it.
I have felt that way from the beginning of being introduced to her on social media. Secret mean girl, for real for real.
THIS THIS THIS
I was just about to say this! She sounds like someone who would make snarky remarks and mask it
She isn’t even hiding anymore
Not glamzilla thinking she's a pro.... like shut up damn 😭
She was so condescending!!!!
At this point do we even know her name is actually Mikayla 💀
Hahahaha such a great point, we may never know the truth about anything she ever says 😂
🤣🤣🤣
The first girl was coming for beauty blender for sending that much PR to a single person. She hyped up cover girl for how they sent their PR. All of this was about the BRANDS. Not glamzilla. Like girl it ain’t even about you, nobody needs your condescending response.
I get but she was showing how to be a useful brand and send the people the need the hundreds of beauty blenders instead of an influencer that probably doesn’t even use the brand
Narcissistic people think everything is about them, or narcissistic traits for sure!
@@kingplayz1578 Nobody NEEDS beauty blenders!! They aren’t a thing you absolutely have to use to put on makeup! Heck Makeup isn’t even something that you NEED.
@@melissaevans4396 let people do what they want 💀 I hate makeup but I don't yap about how other people wanna live their life
@@poolsidelake3467 lmao I wasn’t telling nobody how to live their life. What I said is straight up facts.
How did Glamzilla even become famous? She acts like she's the biggest titan in the industry but I have no idea why she's even an influencer. I'd get it if she was entertaining, but she's not?
Great question 😂😂😭😭😭😭😭
As far as I’m far she started on UA-cam like 6-8 years ago and currently has over 1 million subs. It looks like she started doing the og makeup video tutorials which got her popular but also seemed went to her head. Now here we are
Great question?
I could be wrong but I remember the only reason her name even crossed my socials was because she was lying about products she was reviewing by bombing more cost effective make up brands like E.L.F and hyping up expensive brands like Laura Mercier and Chanel to try and get on PR lists, so she basically gained notoriety on Tiktok as someone who bombs products that do work because they're cheap and she was already on their PR and she just wanted to be sent free shit by more expensive brands without having to pay money
@@sarahanne2 i've been watching makeup videos and been deep into the beauty community on youtube since 2016 when i was 13 or so. i watched lots of big creators as well as some lesser known ones at the time and have never heard of glamzilla at all until last year maybe? and even then it wasn't for anything significant. she only properly hit the mainstream because she dogged on a well loved e.l.f. lip product unnecessarily when she used it wrongly. ie she blamed a company for a shit product when it was really user error and it's not like that particular product was a brand new revolutionary technology or something, it's basically the same thing as the tarte maracuja oil pens. those have been around for over a decade now!! so there's really no excuse to not know how to use those especially since she's been in the beauty space for years.
How they both talk on camera is very cringe, condescending. Obnoxious. Playing to clicks? Rage bait? Yes.
It's reminds me of the fake over the top enthusiasm everyone in 90's-00's TV commercials had.
“Video response and deleters” are we just gonna forget the time when glamzilla falsely “calls out” a fellow creator who liked elf for “doing a paid ad” for elf with the lipsticks and when proven wrong just deletes video without an apology? Hypocrisy has to be the biggest step to becoming a famous influencer or something
THAT PART
She had another call out for a creator named Mina and deleted within hours.
In what world would a pro MUA not know how to be sanitary with her lipsticks... omg glamzilla is so condescending
the way glamzilla talks is how a middle school bully would talk. She changes her tone of voice like she's talking to a baby or like were beneath her.
She does think she’s better!
Beauty Blenders are not undupable. AOA sponges have replaced them, and they are dirt cheap. I will never use another sponge again.
I love elf sponges!! I remember purchasing a real beauty blender for the first time and being so disappointed. I kept using my elf sponge because it was so much better
I got a pack of 12 in mini, xl, and regular for 7.50 on amazon.
I haven’t bought a “beauty blender” brand sponge in years! There are SO MANY good dupes 😭
I love my real techniques blender
@j0n3sy41 I stock up on Real Techniques beauty blenders at TJ Maxx! They often have like bulk sets or the individual specialty shapes for an even lower price point. 🥰
the woman talking about mikayla and her undisclosed ads was so articulate, her vid was a great explanation of one of the problems with undisclosed ads for people who doubt that it matters
i just assume all of it is bullshit
how does glamzilla have any fans she’s so unbearable
they legit must be like 8
@@gandalfthegay2874 nah I'm a big fan of hers. She's actually pretty funny imo
@@perlamedrano3637 how is she funny
@@perlamedrano3637oh wow! that’s something
@@anne-fx8evthat’s what I’m wondering
My daughter heard this video and said “I have her blocked because she came for elf” 😂
Elf products are amazing, im with ur girl on this one. Have a great day 🎉
Yep, this is an Elf household
That beauty blender TikTok situation is the first time I’ve ever heard of Glamzilla and I instantly disliked her.
Glamzilla, they could never make me like you 🥰
This should be the top comment
True that
Your skin cycle is 28 days (or longer depending on age).....there's a reason derms tell you to use something consistently for 4 to 6 weeks for results.
Exactly!!
Glamzilla is so condescending. I genuinely don't know how people can stand watching her
It is so shocking to see Mikayla from 2020 next to her now, she doesn’t even look like the same person
Yes, her "naturally" from 2020 looks so much better!
@@themaskedsingeromgher lips dont look painful 😂
I’ve never seen a creator that irritates or I find more off putting than Glamzilla. She rly is the bridezilla of social media She’s so condescending, doled out criticism yet absolutely cannot take it ever in any way. She’s gotta come out & be out right rude & passive, even fully aggressive. THAT’S her real personality, not the clearly contrived 14 year old ‘I’m not like the other moms’ act that’s so annoying. To each their own but thank god I don’t have social media so, aside from some videos on here I don’t see her. Hard pass.
I saw someone make a video that accuses Glamzilla of dusting setting powder on the tissue and that is what makes it transfer proof. Makes sense, because I use to use powder on my lipstick to make it stay in the days when liquid lipsticks were UNBEARABLE to wear. I still hate them to this day.😂
Man, those first formulas… these kids with all these freaking awesome ones you can just get at like the grocery store now. 😂😂 they don’t even know! they don’t even know what we went through!!
Personally, my mom ironed her hair… sooooooooo I think it’s pretty cool that they don’t know and we get to be the ones who “did it”now. it is just another mildly painful milestone that us millennial and gen x beauty pioneers get to share now. 😂 they will definitely have their own 😂
@@cailinanne I was 41 when I stepped foot into an Ulta and a Sephora for the first time! I had to buy all of my makeup from Walmart or the drugstore. I lived in a small town and didn’t have access to those stores and didn’t buy online from them until I was 40! The world of makeup has changed so much. I am 44 now, and have expanded to other brands. I always ran out of foundation and powder because I didn’t buy a new one until the old one was panned or close to empty. I used the same shade of eyeshadow daily. Now I have a small collection of makeup🤣
Glamzilla: This is a big flex.😃
Me: Weird flex tho.
I'm more concerned with all of these people spraying aerosol cans right in their own faces
For real.
Seems like a terrible way to
unal!¥e oneself.
"play well with others" as if you aren't lying on a daily basis and being rude to others (including the lady she said this to).
I feel like it was just really unnecessary to cut the lip thing? Like what was the point other than to show that she’s destroyed a product that she’s gotta throw away now.. which is what people are frustrated with her about?? And the MUA is giving the lip product to her clients to keep and reuse…theyre nine dollars.. she’s not reusing it on clients… what a weird woman glamzilla is.
I totally agree I think beauty brands should sponsor and send stuff to working MUAs they will get more use out of them seeing how they do makeup on tons of skin tones and it is better advertisement tbh imo
Especially considering that's how historically a lot of brands spread and became popular, word of mouth between professionals who recommended it to clients too. Now it's aaalll marketing and virality over quality and expertise
glamzilla amd her "i recommend u do this" as if anyone asked her. girl nobody was asking you cuz u aint qualified- you are not an authority figure in this!
Jeffrey using a liquid lipstick to test the ‘hack’ is making me LOL 😂
Thought exactly the same! 👎🏽
I thought the same thing as well. I immediately made that 😧 Huh face. Like the viewers are dumb enough to not notice he used that!!
Cover girl IS THAT GIRL NOW! Inclusive shade ranges, cruelty free, affordable and accessible products, new skin essence that's LITERALLY an ACTUAL DUPE, sending P.R. to actual makeup artists even if their following isn't massive. Covergirl, we see you. I can guarantee I WILL NOT buy a beauty blender again, but I WILL be shopping the Covergirl section at Uta and Walmart!!
Glamzilla: if i dont know how to do it, no one can do it 😂
There was a tik tok made that a guy showed what he think glamzilla did with that supposed lip hack, he thinks she put a thin layer of translucent powder on the tissue and then blots her lips with it and that’s how the lipstick was non transfer
I can’t stand Glamzilla or Mckayla. can’t believe a damn word they say
You shouldn't believe anything any of them say tbh, they're all paid advertising
Honestly so glad i outgrew my loving beauty/makeup influencers phase.
I'm glad I'm old & this nonsense wasn't around when I was a kid!
Gahk!
"mikayla caught lying" sounds a lot like "fork found in kitchen" to me
For real.
Like a bear pooping in the woods, water being wet, rocking AND rolling, stoners buying Ding Dongs & Yoohoo, politicians lying, P Diddler diddling (😠).
😂
I’m not a professional make up artist and I don’t really know any personally (that are still practicing at least) *and even I knew that you just needed to use sanitized tweezers to pull out the tip…*
As an elder millennial, my god, does glamzilla make me cringe. wtf. 😂
As an elder Gen X, me too!
I love it when you drag these makeup influencers
Lol, and water is wet... (@ the title)
1:57 "I just woke up" A few seconds later.. "I was up all night" lol
What is glamzilla smoking to think makeup artists use the same applicator on each client?
So strange to hear Jeffree blatantly speaking in his TikTpk content specifically to kids, with the pitch, tone, intonation, exaggeration of small occurances, giving JayStation vibes
The fact that as an influencer she is “recommending” the professional do this and that is comedic. She’s not a professional MUA, she’s an influencer who reviews makeup sometimes
Omg.... did she forget that individual lip brushes exist???
Girl I am not a professional MUA and even I KNOW to simply take off the felt tip. I scoffed when Glamzilla thinks she’s making a good point by cutting it off.
The most impressive thing about Glamzilla is her audacity 😭
As someone cystic acne, I feel like the only things that have balanced it out are antibiotics and serum/cream prescribed to me by my dermatologist
same antibiotics were only thing that really helped me
@@tigerflamingoes4300 i’ve been seen by the dermatologist since mid 2020 and I’ve been on so many different types of antibiotics that haven’t worked and in some cases made it worse. It has taken till January this year for them to give me an antibiotic that has actually worked for my skin 💀 cystic acne is no joke
Glamzilla can’t speak a full sentence without fumbling over her words and it makes me really uncomfortable
I am neither a mikayla fan or critic - but I find it sad seeing that old clip of her because I can see why people originally liked her. She seems likeable, relatable and funny. Such a far cry from her now. Wouldn’t even recognise her from her old content to new
*as well as being good at makeup* in fairness to her
Couldn’t agree more about the skincare reviews. Exactly, you need a month at the bare minimum to know if something is working or not. I’ve been in esthetician school for a couple months now and have some really nice new products I’ve been testing but even with consistent use, I still am formulating my thoughts over two months later and a lot of them are cosmeceuticals with actives like vitamin c, brightening ingredients, etc but it’s probably going to take me a while to decide what’s actually worth me using regularly.
For example, my skin started breaking out wicked bad and I started worrying it’s a brightening serum I’ve been testing since that was the newest thing I started using. But then I remembered I got a couple chemical peels and discontinued my retinol/collagen serum, so I’m reintroducing that to see if it helps. If not then it’s prob the brightening serum but I doubt I’ll have better idea for a few more weeks, at least!!
With the amount of makeup and skincare she probably is constantly testing, there’s just no way to know and it’s so fucking shady. Glad you called this out. These people need to be hit in the face with some goddamn karma.
who is the girl that tested the hack? i gotta give her a follow
Cool video!! Would consider doing a deep dive in the disparities between news coverage of the student protests and what people are posting from inside the encampments? The disparities about wtf is actually happening are fckn wild
Also, typically people don’t use 90% of one brand in their makeup routine. That’s just so rare. It’s like Jaclyn where you’re like HOWW do you still even watch, much less trust them? They keep getting sponsors so it’s def providing a good ROI for brands but how?🤔
The one positive I did hear is that cover girl supports professional makeup artists even if they don’t have a huge platform. That’s so lovely of them!!
I think a cosmetic chemist talked about the lipstick hack but pointed out Glamzilla’s is wax based and another is cream based, but either way because setting spray is apparently chemically similar to hairspray putting it on your lips is pretty risky since you ingest parts if your lipstick is throughout the day so uhh don’t do it lol
Also, there's definitely a higher risk of breathing it in when spraying on your lips.
They lied so many times so im confused why they still have such a huge fanbase. Like if an influencer i follow lie just one time i think i will stop follow them because they are literally reviewing products for us to buy. But they lied more than once at this time 😭💀
I literally just rotate whatever Korean skincare I get at TJMaxx through my routine. I get one serum I finish it and on to another one. There have been very few kbeauty products I’ve repurchased because honestly they’re all the same after awhile. The only time I would rebuy specific products are cleansers, sunscreens, and my retinol.
I've always been a big fan of the vintage lip setting method.
Split a tissue into to layers, put it over your lips then use a fluffy brush and setting powder over it. Not totally transferproof but lasts waaaay longer
I swear why do ppl just automatically think they are professional MUA’s just because they are good at doing their own makeup? 99% of content creators start off real but end up fraudulent just to keep making easy money & maintain fake fame etc. so cringe
I really appreciate that you brought up the menstrual cycle when talking about skin care products, because that makes SO much sense
Thanks so much for sharing. I really enjoyed watching!😊
As someone who tried that concealer before the hype….it sucks.
Whoop whoop🎉 quickest I’ve ever been to a video
Mikayla who?
Not surprised that she strikes again.
I live for your uploads!!
glamzilla gives me the same vibes as the 'send it to me please 😭 send it to me rachel' lady
omg perfect comparison!! 😭😭😭💀
I think she genuinely just doesn't think she either can or should turn down brand deals, like I think she literally just does everything she's offered
that girl at 9:00 did not even follow all the steps before complaining that it does not work 💀
Exactly, can't believe I've only found a few comments about this
23:36 the problem with mikayla and her history of lies and undisclosed ads is that Kosas could’ve had a formula change and that’s why the products are performing better 4 YEARS later but bc her credibility has been shot ppl won’t give the products the benefit of the doubt and even bother to check if the product has changed
This is why i just follow Johnny Ross. He lured me in with his Barbara skits but he knows his make up shit! And he's just a genuine person.
Damn using 3 filters is crazy… like influencers actually do that?
Way back in the 80’s we put the tissue over the lips and applied translucent powder over or directly on to tissue. Hair spray is prob the original finishing spray 😂
Heh! I’ve been doing this for 30-40 years.
I swear the tissue is powdered. Btw, Coty air spun powder?! That’s the stuff ? better on moderate to drugstore priced brand (lipsticks).
About the fixing spray lipstick hack: early on the day, when makeup was not as accessible and a lot of formulas were really nasty, we used hair fixing spray. We still use to this day, just spray in your fa e and anything will move nor transfer. BUT I don't recommend using always, it's an emergency thing, that was not made for skin and could harm your beautiful faces.
This is beside the point, but I love to see content from working makeup artists about sanitation and kits. It’s so interesting, but also helps us identify sketchy MUAs when we meet them. No infections for me, pleeeeease!
At this point, I'm waiting for a video to be titled:"Mikyala tells the TRUTH" 😂
Yes drag them all please!!
I am the opposite of a fan of Glamzilla.
I find the way she talks and the way she carries herself as an “influencer,” to be extremely immature for her age and disingenuous; to the point that I find her extremely cringey. Especially when she did the whole “I’m just a girl, idk!” thing, isn’t she like in her 30’s?
She also is so passive aggressive and plays dumb towards people who’ve responded to her with valid points.
The point the girl made was “why are you sending a rich woman who already over-consumes 100 blenders that’s cost the general public $20.00, when you could send those to people with smaller audiences.”
Then Glamzilla just responds with “oh my god I would never use what you were sent as a small creator on MY old clients, silly you! Here’s how to do it.”
I’m a very small creator and I’m 100% honest on everything I show becase I wouldn’t lie about something I’m showing becauee I wouldn’t want someone to waste there hard earned money !!
Influencers at this point are just like the weird tv adds that are selling diet supplements and weird exercise machines.
My thyroid function fluctuates and I have hairloss due to that. Nothing will fix it except medication (artificial thyroid hormones) and time. You can also take iodine if it's just starting to thin, but that isn't a guarantee.
If anyone reads this and they have hairloss due to thyroid issues, I know how tempting it is to buy products because "It's £X amount but it might work" I've tried a lot of them, they did nothing (caffeine shampoo give great volume if you have fine hair though, shout out to that) because apparently I'm easy to market to lol, but most were a total waste of money.
The 2020 vs 2024 side by side was shocking Mikayla looks so different
Who does she think she is!! The belittling tone while trying to "teach" a makeup artist about sanitation 😤😤 I would be so mad
From an actually mua standpoint i’am so tired of the beauty industry becoming over saturated with people who have no actual passion for the industry.
Glamzilla is the definition of millennial cringe and I am a millennial. She comes off as extremely condescending. Like she has big main character syndrome
Glamzilla is trying SO HARD to seem "nice" by hiding behind a very upbeat attitude but she always shows her true character when she responds to people who annoy her. Being passive aggressive and shady while trying to act unbothered. I can't stand people like that. If you want to say something, at least have the nerve to say what you really mean instead of this passive aggressive bs
the beauty community is so stale dogs won't even eat it. When did reapplying lip products become a hassle that needed to be fixed with more products?
Ouuuu it really gets my goat when these beauty girls, who can barely do makeup as it is, try to tell licensed professionals how to do their jobs 😭
i love that it looks like your phone holder is holding you hostage
I’m sure she’s just baiting people by saying “no filter, no edits” for engagement.
Notification blessed me today with you babe
u just got a new subscriber! Finally a youtuber who dares to speak out!
“No tea no shade- actually all tea all shade” lol love you yes
Spraying it directly to the lips is crazyyy. Its giving poisoning thyself
Omg back for comment #2… How can Mikayla recommend Kosas spray over Tower 28?! They’re two different sprays with two completely different functions. Tower 28 is a “soothing, purifying, and renewing toner treatment for fast angry skin relief” with hypocholorous acid, whereas Kosas is a collagen spray meant to prep for makeup????? Ugh. I hate these two and their lies.
How do people like Mikayla and Glamzilla have any genuine followers / fans?! HOW?!
I keep asking this same question. Its obnoxious.
I’m from the same area as Mikayla and I ask the same question from time to time. I think it’s pure luck.
This is why after 10 years I had to get out of the beauty industry. People like glamzilla and Mikayla are all over the place. I was a licensed esthetician and I was so miserable in this industry I let my career go. It's too much. It's like being in middle school for the rest of your life and just bullies everywhere.
You can get throwaway applications and use them on your clients
The picture you showed of Mikayla, if you notice her nose looks smaller, that says filter to my mind also.
The selfishness and entitlement of asking a brand to send you MORE of their product for FREE so you can give it away to your fans, when they’ve already given you an exorbitant amount of said product. Ugh that video is so gross.
Also, you’re definitely correct about the spf thing. I didn’t use that brand, but I used covergirl dream bb cream with spf for a trip to the beach, thinking I would have the “all in one” benefits of a sunscreen and a tinted moisturizer, and I wouldn’t need other sunscreen on my face. I was wrong. I didn’t get burnt like I would have with nothing at all, but I was definitely pink on my nose and cheeks. Imo putting spf on a product when it’s not meant to be used as a standalone sunscreen is misleading. Or there should be a note like “helps protect you from the sun, but you still need to wear a sunscreen for prolonged sun exposure” or something.
Oh I liked the coverage (not too much, but enough to even out skin tone) and the look of the bb cream (smooth, looks like skin, not cakey). My only complaint was the implication that it’s adequate sun protection when it isn’t. If anyone wanted to know lol.
idk if it would make too big of a difference but in glamzilla's original video she doe blotch some of it of before putting the setting spray. If i'm not mistaken the other influencer didn't do that. Perhaps the hack was meant to work with a lesser quantity of lipstick on? Idk much ab makeup but im assuming it would've made a difference. Maybe the formula matters too?
Sanitation is one of the first things that they teach pro make up artist when they’re about to work on clients. I mean, they tend to know how to put on mascara with disposable ones and put on lipstick with Q-tips for the most part. I find it interesting how the make up artist was able to find her own way of putting on that particular lip color And explain what she does with brides. Want to keep it. Girl is still getting business to this day with that particular product.
