Greg Doucette got a hair transplant. Who cares, right? Apparently he does, even though he says he doesn't, because why would someone fly half way around the world to have surgery for something they don't care about? Sound fishy? Yeah, I thought so too, which I why decided to produce this reaction video so you can learn why you should be careful listening to UA-camrs that have no experience with the hair transplant industry.

I remember last year I said on a forum, do 3 years of research before getting a Transplant, and I was basically laughed at by every young guy in the 20s. Maybe 3 years was a little much, but after 30 years I'm proud to say I still haven't went under the knife, not because I'm scared, but I definitely know how bad this industry IS. A bad transplant will make your life worse than not doing anything.

The other thing that sometimes happens is that men age into their hair loss. They may hit a certain age where they look a bit more mature and suit a shaved head. Your advice of three years research is spot on - you probably also want 3 years worth of stabalization of your hair loss.

I know from experience I have spent more time researching which sneaker to buy then doing research on a surgery. Its crazy but I guess the title Dr. Is convincing enough. My surgery went well, I even went for a second one. But still, it could have gone “wrong” or not as expected. I dont know the reason for this but you just want your problem to be fixed and you cant see the forrest from the trees. So you just go. Videos like yours are very helpfull. Greg is very well known but he lacked researching. Probably to busy and its just to much information to comprehend. Keep making these vids cause im almost 45 and need a transplant in a couple of years 😊🤙🏾

Your description nails it. It's a lot of information to process and it takes time so a lot of people aren't aware of what to look out for or they dismiss it and believe the marketing. It's like shooting fish in a barrel for these clinics because they offer the dream, and for next to nothing, but far too often that dream turns to a nightmare and the patient is left wondering "why"?

The question about Ally - in original vid it's determined at the clinic that she doesn;t have adequate donor hair. Greg says it's connected to her having Crohn's disease..

    • @hairtransplantchannel
      @hairtransplantchannel  2 роки тому

May or may not be true but I have no info on her medical history to discuss it. Crohn's CAN induce hair loss in a number of ways but she may also just have low density. I was going to talk about this in the video but for the sake of brevity I kept it out but my gut tells me they didn't want to risk it with her being on a popular channel with over a million subs.

So in another video, Greg says he told the doctor he is not going to take finasteride because he doesn't want to take that drug. He controls what drugs he takes precisely. He even said how the doctor was complaining that the results may not last if he doesn't take finasteride. So I think there is some truth to him not caring fully. Also, he said originally went to Turkey because his partner wanted to get a hair transplant and he was only going to be supportive and get a procedure done so she wouldn't be the only person bald. Taking that at face value, his laid back explanation fits his story.

    • @hairtransplantchannel

The idea of someone getting a cosmetic surgery SOLEY to support his girlfriend wanting to get one is absolute horse shit. If that were the case he should have just left after it was determined that she would NOT be getting a hair transplant yet they stayed and he got one anyway. 1. That shows he does care. 2. It shows he isn’t actually thinking of her because by having his own surgery when she is the one that wanted it is only making her feel worse because she was denied.

Normal immediate post-op bleeding is a fraction of what we saw on that pillow case. I don't think steroids would cause this but he may be on minoxidil or a bug vitamin E user, both of which thin the blood. He may also be on aspirin which helps to thin the blood and is taken by people that have potential cardiac issues. Legit clinics will discuss this with the patient and if they're taking aspirin they'll usually ask the patient to confirm with their regular doctor if they can cease taking aspirin two weeks before surgery.

This is the essence of what a hair transplant involves. A man or woman has a receding hairline, and boom, they want to "fix it". Many cases are more severe but still many cases are LESS severe yet to the person who is suffering, it is the worst thing that could ever happen to them. Hair loss, even what may seem to be minor or non-existent to others, is a disease of the soul. Don't over estimate how strongly this affects people, especially today with social media.

Say what u want but the best hair clinic in the world if not one of the is “Hair of Istanbul” even Floyd Mayweather went there and there better than 90% of American clinics and on average change 5k not 30k like American clinics and American clinics under graft on purpose so you have to go back.

This is the best expose on Greg ever, this video is criminally under-viewed. I don't think anyone else would have even called Greg out on this obvious grift.

The guy just made a video about his experience… give him a break. Overall his mood was very positive and uplifting for people losing their hair, not everyone has mastered hair loss / transplantation like you have. He makes 2-3 videos a day and probably put little thought into this, stop being so critical and if he says he doesn’t care, he doesn’t care; who are you to tell him he’s in denial or lying?

I'm sure he doesn't need me to give him a break. Young guys look up to him, and his reasons for getting a hair transplant is complete horses**t.

Well if he's not disclosing info such as it being free and a paid promotion then it's simply unethical and shady at best, doesn't matter how much hard work he does sitting in front of a camera rambling about tik tokers 3 time a day.

He got paid but who cares

I didn't say getting paid is a bad thing. Not disclosing it is as it is a well known fact that not disclosing financial relationships influences the opinions of those being paid. The government agrees which is why there are laws against not disclosing financial arrangements for endorsements.

I could always tell his wife was crazy with all her pets and "innocuously" walking around on video in her underwear. She is insane for desperately wanting a hair transplant.
